Training with Karen for the past year and a bit has allowed me to become a better individual, one that has taught me a healthy lifestyle, she has taught me how to eat, how to train and even how to rest. Things became tricky due to the lockdowns but Karen always found a way to train me, whether it was online, in the park etc...I was weighing 79kg when I began, could not run, had no strength and was low in life, she has helped me achieve who I am today which is 60kg, 23% body fat, happier and stronger. She has also educated me on a lot of things including not fussing over weight as it fluctuates but rather muscle, protein, water intake, body fat etc...(which as females we will have more so don't stress). I have also met some great people along the way, when she did bookcamp and we were all on the same boat pushing each other, such a great environment to be in. Karen is cheerful, humble and always there if you have a question, she told me she was going to get to a size 8 when I first started- I was size 14- and she was right, I didn't believe it then but I am a size 8. She also said I was going to be able to do pullups, I was like noo way Karen....and I have, I have achieved these things. I am a different person today because of Karen and want to say thank you, this is not a phase in life but rather a lifestyle, I will continue with what she has taught me.

The strength and motivation in Karen as a PT really showed up during lockdown. Her ability to adapt her training techniques to train and motivate me virtually was phenomenal. If I hadn't had to move back to Australia, I would have remained training with Karen. She get's you the results and always has her clients targets at heart. When I started training with Karen, I was someone with poor eating habits, who loathed exercise. I used to hate going clothes shopping because everything always looked better on the hanger than on me and I would hide myself behind baggy tops.
I decided to do something about it and contacted Karen and I have not looked back since - well, only to see my progress!
I have a knee injury, so she adapts things accordingly to enable me to do everything. I actually enjoy exercise now - something I never thought I’d say.
I have lost weight, dropped 3 clothes sizes and now enjoy finding new outfits to wear. I have a whole new approach to food and nutrition and feel much more in control of my body now. I am now the one that encourages my friends to exercise and work-out!!
Karen’s sessions are always different and she does a great job of working out the kind of exercises you like (and the bits you don’t) to make sure that things are always fun and enjoyable.

KAREN is an incredible Personal Trainer; she is armed with the skills and equipment necessary to assist you in reaching your target. She customise the workouts to my specifications. She walks you through diet, assisting you with staying on track.
I've been training with Karen almost two years and have gained a lot of lean muscle. When I walk out of the gym after completing my workout, I not only feel physically healthy, but also mentally incredible! That is thanks to Karen tireless attempts to promote overall health.
She is very charming, super friendly and very supportive. We always have jokes, laughs and target to hit on the ground to make sure I can get best out of it!.

She tailors the workouts based on your requirements. She guides you through nutrition, helping you keep on top of it and actually cares to mantain a good relationship with her clients and doesnt make it all about money which is fully trasmitted through her vibe and connection!!!
I have been training with Karen for almost 2 years now and I've lost so much weight and feel very toned. When I walk out after finishing my training not only do I feel physically good, I feel mentally amazing too! That's due to all the efforts Karen puts in promoting mental health.

I can’t recommend Karen highly enough. It’s actually hard to put into words how much she has helped me, but in real terms, she helped me lose over 5 stone in a year and completely changed my way of thinking about my health.
I hated the gym, …. “never found time” to exercise… but the truth is I was probably afraid of the hard work it would take to get myself in a much healthier state.
I did have a PT before Karen, but all my fears were realised, I found it too hard, wasn’t enjoying it and eventually gave up – which made me feel worse.
I decided to try Karen…and I loved that she promoted the idea of “baby steps” – which is exactly what I needed. She really tailored sessions to me and was able to read me and work out what would make me “tick” when it came to fitness – And then really began pushing me gradually harder and giving me some of the most enjoyable challenges I’ve ever been part of….She made something I hated, really fun!
Added to that, she is actually great conversation, a wonderful person and now by happy accident, I do consider her a good friend!
As a result, a year down the line, I have taken up football and cricket again, can play sports with my 6 year old son without having to stop after 5 minutes …. AND, I was able to compete in my son’s sports day at his football club (In the parent’s race of course where I came 3rd)…I did him proud – I would never even entered the race before which has upset him previously.
I’m genuinely a happier person, full of energy and I don’t eat myself into a coma anymore J - She’s probably saved my life!
Covid has been rough on the whole world, but my weekly shining light were my sessions with Karen. She bent over backwards to make sure I felt comfortable and did wonders for my mental health, both online, or with her socially distanced, in person workouts.
If you have ever been on the fence about professional help with your fitness – try Karen – you will not regret it. I actually now love working out and don’t know what I would do without her!

I started training with Karen earlier this year just before COVID-19. Its been a Journey. Karen has approached my coaching sessions thoughtfully. She has taken the time to assess what I am capable of and how far too push me without causing any unnecessary
strain. Her style of coaching is motivational and engaging and the sessions never seem repetitive. I began to realise noticeable results very quickly. My energy levels and confidence have improved significantly ( with the added bonus of fitting into my favourite old jeans again!) During lock down Karen has remained engaged to ensure that I have been able to adapt my routine to fit in regular fitness training without equipment. I fully recommend Karen.

I trained with Karen in solo sessions for about ten months (1 hour session per week) to try and get my overall fitness level up for a martial arts class I had recently joined and was having difficulty keeping up with.
Karen was SO helpful, showed me a huge variety of different exercises, and we were able to tailor sessions with specific exercises that worked best for me. She was always considerate of my limitations but in a way that helped me to try my hardest! I pretty much just went in with the goal of increasing my stamina and improving my upper body strength a bit and I feel like I achieved both of these to the extent that I wanted to.

Im trying to get back to gym after nearly a year and half due to injury, lack of motivation etc. i had my first class with Karen today. Absolutely loved her class. It was fun and full of energy. Karen was very attentive, helped me through the class with different exercises, gave me alternatives so I don’t get hurt. Karen was amazing!! She put us through our paces and I certainly learnt some new exercises that will now be incorporated into my fitness regime. Being a regular gym-goer, I was sceptical about joining a bootcamp as I was someone who’d put their headphones on in the gym and work out using the machines and equipment that were easy to use, or following an online work out or youtube video.
I was training with Karen for 3-4 months and I must say I didn’t expect to enjoy it as much as I did. Karen is fantastic! Not only does she pay attention to each and every individual, following there progression and monitoring them from start to finish, she also is super enthusiastic and energetic and makes the whole experience enjoyable! Karen ensures every session is different so you are always focusing on different parts of the body.
Working out with Karen for those 3-4 months noticeably increased my fitness level and I would recommend Karen to anyone that is looking to take their first step into the gym or someone that has become a little lazy and needs that push! The KD45 bootcampers are lovely people, extremely welcoming and supportive!
Hopefully this review is helpful to those who are unsure about bootcamp!

Loved training with Karen. We’ve been training for nearly a year now and she managed to get me back in shape after a few years of not doing much. She was patient and spent time making sure I was on track with my workouts and eating well. She regularly checked in with me throughout the week on Whatsapp which helped a lot.
I was training twice a week with Karen every single month with no failure. I was so happy because ive never cancelled or missed a session with her, i was committed. I managed to lose with her 28kg overall and to be honest, ive been with a few trainers before and Karen's definitely been the most committed to helping me inside and outside of the gym.

Karen is an amazing personal trainer. I am 52 years old and the most important thing that Karen does is listen. If I'm in pain or an exercise is too much for me she will change the routine to make it more comfortable for me. I’m training with Karen since November 2018 and I started to see the first results within two to three months however since the third month I can see results at all levels every month. I believe this happens because Karen never let me give up! Even if I try to stop before finishing the exercise, she pushes me and supports me to finalise it. Honestly I really thank her for that otherwise it was impossible to achieve what I achieved so far. The sessions are very funny as she is so friendly but challenging at the same time. I started to see my body changing and my strength improving as I never imagined and that makes me very happy. I’m improving session after session thanks to Karen.

I’ve been training with Karen for the past 8 months, and I have improved not just physically but mentally as well. I went from not being able to run to being able to run. I learned so much about myself not just fitness. I learned how much I can push myself and being able to get past so many mental barriers. I started training with Karen back in March ‘19 and to be honest, I was a little apprehensive about signing up, as I’m always that person that ‘waste’s’ money on a gym membership... or cancels a training session with short notice, usually blaming work.... being too busy or some other silly excuse. Simply because my heart wasn’t in it!
My relationship with exercise was a problem, I explained this to Karen and this actually became one of my goals!.... to change my way of thinking.... which ironically, I’d never thought of. Goals to me were always physical (number of burpees etc)
However.... I am so happy to report, that along with the near 2 stone weight loss.... while I’d be lying if I said I was ‘in love’ with the gym.... I genuinely get annoyed with myself when I don’t go.
She is tough... and I needed that... but she understood me... she’d encourage me to NOT give up my social life (beers on a Thursday) and become antisocial... but incorporate it into my week along with my training.
She’s the type of person who can get through to me, so I really believe she can help anyone, as I’m very stubborn.... and for starters, I never write reviews for anything :)... that’s how good she is :)
I can’t recommend her highly enough... if you’ve been on the fence like I was.... you’re too busy with work, or family, .... I was too!! But it really became part of your week that you grow to enjoy and like me, you’ll stop seeing exercise as a chore, and look forward to visiting Karen. Good luck.
