I have trained with Otaniyien many times over the past three years and can't recommend him highly enough. He is a down to earth, no-gimmicks kind of trainer. He takes the time to explain what you need to do and why. He encourages you to ask questions, and genuinely cares about making you a better weight lifter. He knows when you can push yourself harder and when you really can't, when you're being a bit lazy and when you're really having a hard time and need help. The sessions are always different and interesting, and there is a real sense of structure to them, each one building on the one before, testing the limits and looking for ways to push further. On top of this, he is a great laugh and an exceptionally nice guy, and the results speak for themselves - his method is hard work, but it works.

From his thoughtful approach to building the right meal and exercise plan, his focus on educating not just the “how” of training- but the “why”, and the fact that it actually seems like he’s equally (if not more!) invested in your success — he’s the perfect partner if you want to see real progress and make sustainable gains. I’ve been working with him for three years now- in person, remotely, and everything in between— and can’t imagine doing it without him. If you have the chance to work with this guy- I absolutely recommend you take the leap— you will not regret it!

I had been weight training for years but was becoming disillusioned with a lack of results, lack of motivation and from suffering repeat injuries to my back. I signed up with Lift Heavy Well & it's changed my entire approach to training. Otaniyien brings so much energy & is highly attentive in both showing you proper technique and also explaining why the correct technique is so important. Karl provides the perfect compliment to the physical workout in developing mindset. I would recommend Lift Heavy Well to anyone.

T was my trainer for just over 3 months at Evolve. I thought I had been doing press ups with correct form for the last 20 years but now could barely rep out 20 with T's correct form!
This pays testament to how much he puts into making sure you have the correct form on every exercise. You really feel the difference doing every exercise and it makes you feel every single rep as you should. I understand my body works far better and how each exercise should feel when I'm doing it.
He looked after my macro split and was there to tweak it if needed or if we felt I wasn't progressing on that side of things.
Always at the end of a WhatsApp night or day you couldn't ask more from a trainer.
I lost about 9kg of fat and was incredibly happy with the results.
We even got used to each others senses of humour by the end of the program! :-)
