I'm so glad I found Ivana, after reading Move Your DNA by Katy Bowman I was unsure about how to put some of the exercises described in the book into action. Ivana has been so helpful in the process of regaining strength in the muscles my brain had forgotten and abandoned through years of habitual movements, and releasing those which were overworked. After years of hip and lower back pain I knew I really had to address the way I use my body, and also wake up to the fact that my completely flat feet may have been contributing and that that needn't be so. During the five sessions Ivana taught me many small exercises that I can incorporate into my day, with videos and a summary of every session provided so I didn't immediately forget what we did. I am now much more aware of my body, the position and movement of my pelvis, and how much difference a small adjustment can make to how I feel. My feet and my hips already feel a lot happier, its so encouraging to have so much positive feedback after a short space of time, and I genuinely relish finding the small opportunities in my day that I can practice one of the exercises she taught me. I highly recommend Ivana if you are looking for a movement coach, if you have any persistent niggles or pains in your body you'd like to understand and deal with in a mindful way.

I went to see Ivana at the beginning of my second pregnancy looking for help recovering diastasis recti: abdominel separation. After five sessions with Ivana I am moving better and breathing better. I feel better! I can feel my body's limits and its tensions. This means when I take a yoga or pilates class I know how to avoid pushing my body too far towards injury and strain. I have a deeper understanding of and respect for my body. For example, I can feel tightness in between my ribs and I know how to release that tightness so I can breath better. If my neck is stiff I know how to lengthen it so my chin can comfortably tuck and sit above my collarbone. When I first attempted to do this my chin could not reach my chest. I can mobilise muscles I couldn't even feel before: muscles at the sides of my ribs, on my chest and in between my shoulder blades. Working with Ivana was a truly empowering experience. I know how I need to change my movement habits and strengthen my body so that my core can heal itself and separation is no longer an issue. Ivana has helped me to work towards recovering my diastasis recti, moving better and strengthening my body in pregnancy and beyond. Thank you Ivana!

Working with Ivana has really helped me to get more in touch with my body. She is lovely to work with - very gentle, understanding and supportive. She obviously knows a huge amount about her subjects too, and draws from many areas to work in a way that suited me, whether biomechanics, yoga, mindfulness or massage, which is wonderful. After only a few sessions I now have much more ingrained understanding about how my body is functioning and would strongly recommend working with her.

I met Ivana for one-to-one movement coaching session and I left her studio with lots of new knowledge, experience, a book recommendation, and exercises to do at home. Ivana was really supportive as I went to her studio with my newborn and she not only helped me to better understand how to recover my diastase, but even managed to calm and put my baby to sleep while explaining and training me. I would love to come back to her studio, she is outstanding professional and empathetic person and it was a great pleasure for me to work with her.
