I’ve had great results working with Ronan Personal Training and I strongly recommend their services to anyone looking to better themselves. Whether that’s for health, weight loss, fitness or maybe something else you have in mind. Fitness is very personal and is different for each of us.
James and his team are very personable, experienced and knowledgeable in terms of fitness and nutrition. They’re passionate about what they do, which is always great for moral! Their methods are to work with you, in order find the best way for you to be able to accomplish your goals.
Your personal fitness is a journey, and they ensure your experience with them is tailored to suit exactly that. As a parent, this is extremely important as time is limited, which James completely understands as a parent himself.
My journey continues, but I’m far fitter, healthier and knowledgeable than when I first started.

I had an amazing consultation PT session with Will from Ronan Personal Training. He was super nice, knowledgeable, and great to work with on achieving my fitness goals. The two best things about our session were the way Will pointed out where I can improve on technique and weak points in my strength (things which I’d specifically asked for help with) and also the fact that his firm but friendly encouragement helped me put in maximum effort to a great workout. I felt exhausted but so good afterwards!
I have also done a couple of remote HIIT and boxing classes with Will and James. These are well structured and great for getting in a tough but short home workout. I’d definitely recommend Ronan Personal Training to all my friends!

James is in my opinion the best personal trainer you will find in the industry. James is very motivating and supportive, always bringing a lot of energy and fun to our sessions as well as pushing you to be your best. James also genuinely cares about both the physical and mental wellbeing of everyone he works with and has an abundance of knowledge in nutrition and anatomy, you know you’re in safe and experienced hands. James is an excellent personal trainer, who I would highly recommend. He has assisted me with training myself and taken very good care of patients I have sent his way. Although very results based, James makes the process for clients enjoyable and motivated. Discussions with James in my world of Osteopathy have always impressed me hugely by how well-read he is about anatomy, physiology, mechanics and nutrition. I've been training regularly with James (Ronan) for the last 6 years. I had been in sedentary office work for years and in my early 50s I was getting increasingly stiff in the hips and knees and wanted to do strength training to overcome these issues. Personal training has really worked well for me, making me feel much stronger and fitter overall for the other activities that I enjoy such as skiing and hiking. James is friendly, professional and knows how to help you find and keep your motivation. He's also extremely good at remedial work if you pick up any injuries (mine typically occur doing other activities). I used to train 1:1 with him 2 x week as did my husband but about 18 months ago, we decided to try training together 3 x week and it's worked brilliantly. Normally we train together at the gym but since lockdown, James has been training us remotely via FaceTime and that's also worked really well. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend James as a personal trainer to anyone. Whatever your age or your goals, he will give you great guidance and support.

I lost a massive 15kg.
What James helped me a with was nothing short of amazing, in total I lost a massive 15kg. The best part of all for me is not just the fact I get a personalised training and nutrition programme but how supportive and knowledgeable James is.
With the weekly check ins he could tell how my body was reacting to the changes he had made to my diet and how I was reacting to the diet mentally. I got below 8% body fat which is not an easy task but with the guidance and support from James it made me believe I could achieve my goal.
The fact that James himself has been in my position is massively comforting, giving me the right tools and adaptations to nutrition and training exactly when I needed it, as well as being there for me when the going got tough.
James is genuinely a great man and coach and I feel what he has help me give myself through training and nutritional guidance is invaluable. I sincerely look forward to continuing to work with James in the future to see what we can achieve."
