Honestly I can’t say enough about this place and it’s owner. His group sessions are such fun and there is a great mix of local people that attend. Many I now consider friends (and I hate making friends and working out.) He even runs online sessions which kept me sane over lock down.
Look if you are struggling to get back into fitness you need to give this place a try - if he can get me to go multiple times a week he essentially a miracle worker. It also helps it’s an amazing value with all he offers, more than any large gym has ever given me or trainer.

Tibor runs an amazing gym. He is attentive, understanding and mindful of any previous injuries you may have when giving out exercises. He also pushes you to your limit, which is great! I am one of those people who need the push to get me going. I did the 8 week course, which was a real challenge but Tibor was there encouraging me every step of the way and I ended up loosing over 4kgs. The Fitness Place also have group classes which are extremely on point; the members are always supportive, motivating, friendly and welcoming. I was very obese (to say the least) when I started out at Tibor's fitness place. I knew I had to do something about it and decided to lose weight but I needed guidance and this is when The Fitness Place popped up on my Facebook feed which couldn't have come in a better time. I went and had an assessment with Tibor and signed up for an 8 week beginner's weight loss program in September 2020 which included meal and carefully designed excercise plan tailored for my condition (I have osteoarthritis in my knees).
Due to a month lockdown in November 2020 the 8 week course stretched to 12 and during this time I diligently followed the diet and exercise as instructed and lost about 16kgs (nearly 3 stones)!
I followed the diet even after I finished the course and couldn't attend classes due to the gyms being closed for 4,5 months and lost a further 18 kgs (3 stones) after that which is a huge achievement thanks to Tibor and his Fitness Place!
I loved going to classes 3 times a week. It's a lovely, friendly atmosphere and of course hard work but it was also fun! 😊 The location was perfect for me as it's close to where I live. I liked that it's not crowded, only 4-5 ladies in a class so everyone had personal attention from Tibor. He is very professional and looks after everybody and helps with the excercise!
I cannot recommend him and his Fitness Place enough! 5 stars!
Unfortunately due to my work commitments and long working hours I cannot attend his classes anymore but I'm still continuing with the diet and losing weight to this day!
I honestly can say that he has changed my life for the better which I cannot thank him enough!

The Fitness Place is such a welcoming, friendly environment, which makes committing and enjoying the experience so easy! Tibor takes great care to ensure all his clients are working safely whilst getting the most out of their tailored programme. I've just completed the 8 weeks beginners course + food programme, with Tibor. In two months - including lockdown disruptions and some travel - I've lost 5 Kg (11 lbs) and 4% of my body fat. I had tried to do so for the past 3 years, after the birth of my son, unsuccessfully. Most importantly, I am feeling more energetic, clear minded and relaxed. It's been a great improvement, personally and for my family - my son is a VERY active little boy, and now he loves to have a mum who can keep up. Having joined last November this amazing set up and Tibor's fantastic leadership of it, I can totally recommend it to anyone who is looking into getting or staying fit. Tibor is exceptional at understanding the psychology behind our actions and knows when to push (or not) people. I always hated gyms and weight lifting / machines type of environment and yet, although The Fitness Place offers a variety of classes (zumba, yoga etc), I end up doing all the work that usually I would hate with weights and machines, as Tibor, and the people attending the gym, are lovely, friendly and very supportive. What I find gets me back each time for more is that I feel the small class size and Tibor's knowledge and attention give us all very personalised advice, exercises and support. There is no one size fits all here: since starting I have had an accident and an injury at home and instead of having to skip classes, Tibor has been fantastic at tailoring my exercises to allow me to still train with the rest of the group and has advised on both injuries so well, that I recovered quite fast and my mood stayed upbeat throughout. The lock down has been another incredible moment, as Tibor got himself organized at the speed of light to go online and has been ever since, watching each and every one of us and still advising on exercise and pushing us to stay fit and healthy. I think I would have not been able to commit to routinely exercise during lock down had it not been for Tibor's flair, positive energy and knowledge.

Highly recommended. I wouldn't use any other personal trainer now I've been to Tibor. A great way to get in shape, learn proper techniques and do so safely. I always enjoy going and always feel really welcome. The facilities are great too with a focus on the exercising the whole body.
I recently had minor surgery and Tibor always gets the most out of me but is always conscious of my limits. He's really helping me to lose weight and get back to my previous fitness level before the operation.

The Fitness Place and all it’s instructors, led by Tibor, provides innovative and varied workouts that play to your strengths but also push you to improve, including in areas you are weak in and which you avoid if you train alone! Tibor has been training my husband for years and my husband is a difficult man to keep motivated so the fact that Tibor manages that is definitely a feather in his cap. However, what impresses me more is Tibor's knowledge and understanding of how to treat each person and their ailments, different abilities and drive individually. There is no one size fits all attitude here, nor a prescriptive pathway with no give for a particular goal or requirement to protect against a potential weakness. Tibor takes everything into account, explains it really well, keeps you motivated and enthusiastic with a dedication that I honestly don't see very much these days. I say this because after watching my husband for years working with Tibor I myself tool the plunge to deploy his skills after a significant shoulder injury. I knew he understood the injury and would ensure I was training well, with proper guidance. Let's put it like this I should have done it sooner. His ethics, standards and values are reflected in his environment and approach. Don't hesitate, if you need a targeted, careful and motivating trainer this is your guy.

Best personal training studio I have ever been. They are very knowledgeable and know how to motivate you. That combine with a friendly and supportive atmosphere is the winning formula to get results! The Fitness Place has been such a positive experience for me. While visiting my son for extended periods I found The Fitness Place to keep up my fitness and to establish a routine that would keep me busy. I have been coming to this gym for over a year, working with fantastic trainers - all of whom are incredibly knowledgeable in their area of work.
Liza has helped me totally transform my body and confidence through weight-lifting, kettlebells and HIIT circuits. I am so thankful to have found someone who has not only taught me so much about health, wellness, exercise and nutrition but provides me with constant support (during and after our personal training sessions).

I highly recommend Tibor and his team. I first knew Tibor at his boot camp 5 years ago and now do a weekly training session at The Fitness Place.
It can be difficult to get the results you want on your own but sessions with Tibor and the team get you motivated. The excercises and circuits are just right for me and I really enjoy the workouts. Not always easy! but I feel good at the end of a session.

Female, 52 years old, 89kg and snap a photo was taken of my body. I was an unhealthy woman with too much visceral fat and high blood pressure. It is early February, I finally had the motivation to step into the world called ‘THE FITNESS PLACE’. I was fed up with myself, stressed, low mood, bloated, tyre around the waist. I Knew fully well I needed to exercise but I didn’t have the energy after a days work. It was time to break the circle to get myself back on track.
‘THE FITNESS PLACE’ is not like a massive mainstream gym who makes you pay for a full year, where you become a number and in my case you loose the motivation to continue.
‘THE FITNESS PLACE’ is a friendly gym run by the ever so enthusiastic Tibor. He approaches everybody as an individual and knows how to keep you motivated. The group session are small or you can choose for one to one sessions.
He accepts your moans and groans and pushes us gently on with a kind smile. And all your question are answered. You sense Tibor has the knowledge and wants to help you with your goal.
I started with an 8 week beginners course which includes gym work, yoga (if you want to) and a meal plan. So far so good. I joined, was motivated and was impressed with the information I was given.
To start is easy. However there is always one point in the process when you loose motivation. Tibor is well aware of this, so we all wear a heart monitor during the session and you get weight regularly to keep you motivated. Also we stimulate each other during the group sessions and the different levels people are at is a great carrot…..you can see were you will be in the future.
Besides the gym I follow a meal plan. Well that was a change from my usual nosh. No more carbs, well okay a little bit was allowed.
For breakfast: Greek yoghurt with blue berries and walnuts. Or Oats with cottage cheese and peanut butter.
Lunch is often a salad with egg/tuna, or asparagus with egg, or mushroom omelet.
Dinner: vegatables and meat/fish/ seafood…
It took some getting used to but when the trousers starting to get loose and friends and family expressed they have seen a change. I was rather pleased and another motivator in the bag. happy days. I was only in week four…
Corona lockdown.
😱 oh no…. But Tibor isn’t Tibor, he already prepared himself to continue “torturing” us during lockdown. We do it online! In the comfort of your own home. Thank you, Tibor and for the technology. What a saviour. It’s keeping me sane and in a routine.
After just over three months, I have lost weight. My waistline has shrunk, my mood and energy levels improved. My visceral fat is within normal levels and my blood pressure is down? The meal plan has become second nature. Since a have started I have had no desire for carbs, sugary snacks between meals. I am able to do burbies and push ups which I was unable to do in session one. My own goal is to treat myself to a whole new wardrobe when I have reach my target.
So for anyone out there: Who knows you MUST but kind find the HOW?
Step into the world of “THE FITNESS PLACE” and break the circle. You will be given your own program etc. There is no competition, you follow your own level of exercises. The only thing you need to bring is COMMITMENT and the pounds will be flying off. Come and join this small and friendly gym. I can highly recommend it.

Fantastic local gym with all of the amenities required. I can find other larger gyms intimating and also a bit generic with rows of treadmills . This is much more bespoke and the staff are not just incredibly friendly but really know what they are talking about.
Personally I am in to more body weights and I find this gym provides me with all the necessary equipment including TRX, resistance bands and gymnastic rings.
Great addition in an easily accessible and quiet part of East Finchley.
