With gyms closed, Jamie’s program came at a good time. With limited equipment available Jamie adopts a plan that incorporates functional movements for athletes and gets you working hard. The app is easy to use and helps you monitor weight, body composition, progress pictures as well as sets & reps. I wasn’t sure what to expect given I enjoy using weights in the gym, but I soon started to love the program and was challenging myself to push harder. This was supported by Jamie who sends messages of support throughout to keep you going. I found that I improved my fitness, power, and stability over a 4-week period that saw me adding more sets and reps in as the plan went on. I thoroughly enjoyed the program and will incorporate some of the exercises into my routine when I return to the gym. Thanks to Jamie for all the support!

I have been training with Jamie for the pass few months now and have really enjoyed the variety in sessions that we have completed during this time.
I wanted to concentrate on functional fitness and compound lifts which he has paired and mixed really well to help achieve my goals.
As well as gaining weight I wanted to also keep a good fitness level and can definitely see a difference in this and my overall strength.
On top of the good training programs Jamie is very good at integrating good maintenance routines to assist with recovery and generally help mobility and posture.
Overall optimum performance highly is recommended!

I have been training with Jamie for the past 4 months and originally went to him for advice regarding strength in my lower back. I was very nervous of lifting heavier weight because of this and even though i’ve been training in the gym for a while... he really put me at ease and has helped me so much! my back is feeling amazing and strong and my confidence with heavier weights is so much better! I’ve been training with Jamie at Optimum Performance for around 2 months now and I am already seeing drastic changes in my overall fitness and health. This is because Jamie has made a training program specific to my needs that keeps me on track and focused for my next session.
Every week I meet with Jamie for my hourly training session at a convenient time for me due to my work. Every session leaves me feeling better than the last because of the specialist techniques that he runs through with me. I can safely say that form has improved by leaps and bounds and I am much more confident when training in my own time at the gym.

I am a competing Masters Rower and Rowing coach.
I signed up initially with Optimum Performance for a 12-week package to help me return to Rowing after an injury last year. I was specifically looking for an overall improvement in strength and flexibility to improve my rowing speed and performance.
Jamie’s approach has been excellent. His structured approach focussing on specific areas requiring attention has made significant improvements in this short period not only addressing those affected by the injury but other muscle groups which had been underdeveloped for several years. His particular strength is in adopting a holistic method, addressing all aspects of fitness including strength, flexibility and endurance for not only the primary muscle groups (in my case glutes and quads and lats) but also those having a contributary or negative effect on performance.
The result has been a significant improvement in my rowing speed primarily a result of increased efficiency of my glutes and the consequent reduced strain on my lower back, which had been restricting the amount and intensity of work I was able to complete in the boat.

I’ve been working with Jamie at Optimum Performance for just over a month and I have seen massive improvements on and off the pitch at rugby. He has given me a tailored training programme to achieve my goal’s at rugby, along with a diet plan which has helped me stay on track. Ever since the start of lockdown I have had my own gym equipment at home but I’ve never stuck to a struck programme or regime.
I found optimum performance online and decided to give it a go. He has sent me a easy to follow programme with what I wanted including stabilisation and power and strengthwith videos included which are very easy to follow which is helpful.
In the past 8 months I have been with Jamie I have seen more improvement than ever before , I would recommend him through his professionalism and his thorough knowledge and positive attitude!

I started training with Jamie at Optimum Performance just over a year ago and it has made a massive improvement in my fitness and in particular my golf.
After trying hard to lower my handicap from 14 for over 5 years I finally realised I would have to improve my fitness if I was to improve my golf. Now I have recently just played my best ever 2 rounds at Kings Hill Golf Club and after winning the August Monthly Stableford my handicap is now down to 9 ! For the last 15 years I have always wanted to get my handicap down to single figures and after a years training with Jamie it has finally happened.
My golf has been steadily improving over the last year which all started when I played in the 2019 Pro-Am at Pebble Beach, 2 weeks before the US Open and came 2nd in the amateur competition with 34 points. Then back at Kings Hill my Pairs partner and I won the 2019 Hogan Trophy Pairs knockout competition. To cap it all I finally just managed to play my best 2 rounds ever at Kings Hill and got my handicap down to 9 – my first long term target achieved !
This was only made possible by Jamie’s expertise in formulating a winning training programme especially for me.
Thank you Jamie for all your help and now the next target we are working on is getting my handicap down to 5 or below !
