Frances Carroll is quite simply a legend. The advice, support, care and consideration has been amazing throughout the last 3.5 years of working with her. I have achieved some life long goals in terms of weight loss (5.5 stone), fitness, general health and well-being. 3 years ago I couldn’t run 400m, it was my dream to run a mile from school age (now 41), within a year frances had me nearing 5km and I smashed all the goals I had set myself for so many years. Most importantly, I achieved an understanding of my body, how nutrition affects it and just how complex this whole subject is. It’s really not just what you put in your mouth. Frances was able to untangle that, get my body working in the best way it could to achieve my goals, all through a bespoke nutrition and exercise plan (quite honestly I learnt you don’t need exercise to lose weight, but it made me feel amazing doing it). Without Frances I would never have known, discovered or come to understand just how my body works. Quite frankly, she is worth her weight in gold and I’d recommend her and her unique intuitive approach to anyone (and do frequently - and that’s coming from someone who tried everything). I have been training with Frances for over 2 years. She is an excellent PT, the sessions are always well planned and never dull. She is also a really lovely person so sessions are fun even when it is hard work.
She has planned excellent virtual sessions during the lockdown using imagination and basic household items and the sessions are just as hard as when in the gym. 100% recommend.

Frances was so unbelievably helpful. I was focused on long distance running and triathlon and needed to work on my core and strength/conditioning to prepare. Frances provided a very good personalised nutritional plan that was affordable and was based on my specific needs.
In terms of the classes she knew how to motivate and push me to the best of my ability. I got stronger and felt fitter after only a few sessions. She knew when I was ready to step up a level and was always there for me when I had a tough session.
She'd always message me before a race to wish me luck and check in afterwards to see how I was feeling.
I think working with Frances was one of the best things I've ever done for my fitness. She puts you first and always delivers on results. If you have a fitness related goal, she will get you there!

Frances is warm, kind, knowledgaable and enthusiastic, but I think it's her thoughtfulness that makes her special. She thinks about each session beforehand and plans carefully for you to get the maximum from each session. She's taught me to deadlift safely and use the gym confidently. I think she's great.

Frances gave our tennis team 2 nutrition talks throughout the year. Many of us had not had any experience with nutrition sessions, but Frances made sure that the content was easy to understand and tailored to our sport. Each player on the team changed something about their diet and implemented it straight away, with everyone commenting on how they were able to see the benefits over the year. It was extremely beneficial for us in the run up to our Varsity match, and we hope to continue having Frances next year!

One of the best massages I’ve ever had. Frances made a concerted effort to establish my problem areas prior to starting and throughout the massage. Accordingly,
the massage was tailored towards my needs and accordingly applied the appropriate amount of pressure dependent on my requirements in individual muscles . Pain was much improved and felt so relaxed afterwards. Thank you!

Frances is hands down the best option I have ever used for nutritional advice both for health and weight loss generally. She is my goto person whenever I need some help with nutrition and I've recommended her to friends and family more times than I can remember. A number of boxers from the Oxford Uni boxing club had Thai massages with Frances a couple of days before their Varsity boxing bouts, and everyone agreed that they felt so much looser and more relaxed afterwards. Frances was super friendly and professional, identifying and fixing areas I hadn’t even realised were tight until she worked the knots out. Really would recommend!
