I have been training with Dan for over 6 weeks now...and I am surprised to say that I am really enjoying it! With just the right balance of encouragement and challenge he has helped me achieve things that I thought were well beyond me at the age of 59. Dan is also a qualified sports therapist and he has been a great help with treating a couple of long term injuries. He has a fun, engaging and sensitive style which makes him a great coach to work with.

The difference between training with Dan and simply going to the gym couldn’t be greater. I did several years of 3 to 4 gym visits a week, with nothing to really show for it. I’ve been training twice a week with Dan for 9 weeks now and the difference I feel inside is amazing. He came highly recommended and it quickly became apparent why. He has a great personality, genuinely motivating approach and (amazingly!) makes every time you step inside the gym something you really look forward to.

Dan is a fantastic trainer. My initial aim was to get fitter and lose weight for some travelling. I had originally started with a different trainer who had a very different and bad approach. The best thing I did was stop wasting my time and money with her and start working with Dan. He is extremely patient and understanding. He has a great work ethic and will do all he can to help you achieve the results you want. I had 12 weeks before I left on my travels and in that time my endurance and fitness level improved greatly and I succeeded in losing 2 stone. I am since back from my travels and have immediately started training with Dan again. I look forward to building back my strength and achieving even more outstanding results.

After a knee op, I had a dozen physiotherapist sessions but was still in great discomfort. I was recommended Dan who is a kind of cross between trainer and physical therapist. Most of the pain went in half a dozen strength sessions followed by massage. I am now starting to use Dan to improve my fitness and he is excellent. Also a lovely guy who takes it easy to start, not one of those gym trainers intent on causing you pain.

Over a year ago I started to train with Dan for two reasons, firstly to prepare for a 10k race and secondly, to lose weight. I quickly lost weight and within 6 months I had run the race in a great time, but I have carried on training with him ever since. Training with Dan is great - he pushes you, but in a good way, and I always leave the gym feeling great and really postive. Sessions are varied and fun, and the time goes really quickly. I feel much stronger and now have so much more energy than previously, and I really look forward to my training sessions. I used to think that having a personal trainer was a bit of a luxury but now I think it's a necessity. Dan tailors your programme to your specific goals or requirements and makes you feel that you can achieve anything. I cannot sing his praises highly enough!

I've known Dan for years but, after suffering lower back pain, decided I needed some help with strengthening and getting generally fitter. The guidance from Dan was just what I needed. My old gym routine was not giving results anymore. I have been working with Dan at Triumph Fitness for several years. My original aim was to get 'a bit' fitter. Since then I have lost weight, improved my eating habits, gained strength, endurance and flexibility and even run a 10k. He has cured a bad back and sore knees with fantastic sports therapy and has recently brought about great results with a specially targeted programme following a serious illness. Dan now also looks after my husband specifically working on fitness, suppleness and a bad back and our two sons as well, focusing on pre-season fitness and fixing any post game injuries and stiffness. I have been training with Dan for around 8 years. I initially came to him because i suffer from an arthiritic ankle which gives me pain and mobility restriction. I am thrilled that after regular training which has kept me fit and strong, even with the passing years, the most important thing is that i am almost pain free and feel a lot more confident in my ability to sustain longer walking time etc. He has a very engaging style and personality and is always willing to fit in around my various commitments where he can.

Dan has been training our family at home for a year now and he has been truly amazing. He started off helping rehabilitate our 12-year-old son after a skiing accident and there has been significant progress in his fitness, muscle strength and general wellbeing. It wasn’t long before myself and our 15-year-old decided to join in on the weekly sessions.
Dan makes sure that he takes into consideration everyone's needs (including various injuries which he has treated with deep tissue massage and ultrasound). He is patient with the children, encouraging and always positive. He makes working out fun, incorporating games and new routines and we have all seen big improvements. He is a genuinely lovely guy and I would highly recommend his services.

My experience with Triumph Fitness Oxford was outstanding!
Before having sessions with Triumph Fitness I was unable to pass the physical tests needed to get me into the Army. After some fun but gruelling sessions with Dan, I was able to smash the tests easily. He also set me up for success at Sandhurst, building up my overall body strength and setting me a diet plan to lower my body fat.
The positive outcome of the sessions is easy to see but also the enjoyment I had throughout my training sessions made it a lot easier to get fitter. I would definitely recommend Triumph Fitness to anyone interested in getting fitter, losing weight, building muscle or training for something more specific like myself.

We trained with Dan with a specific target in mind, the Oxford Half Marathon! It seemed a long shot as none of us had done more than 5k before and the race was only ten weeks away. Dan designed a training programme that was tough but fun and we all completed the run, had a fantastic day and felt a real sense of achievement. He has achieved the impossible and turned us into runners, so thanks Dan you are the best!

I originally started training with Dan because I had a persistent hip problem that no amount of osteopathy, massage or other therapies had helped. Having had this hip pain for more than 10 years he fixed it within a month! Dan identified a muscle weakness and gave me specially tailored exercises to build up strength. That was two years ago and from there we have just kept going, so that now I am leaner, stronger and fitter than I have ever been - at 51! He is also a fantastic masseur and knows how to treat injuries. His sessions are great fun and he always pushes me. I never thought I'd do pull ups and press ups and enjoy them. He is courteous, professional, funny and great value for money when you consider that he can change your life for the better, as he has mine.

My wife and I have worked with Dan since we moved to Oxford 5 years ago. We are in our early 60's and would describe ourselves as relatively healthy and active and Dan has made a major contribution to our being able to say that. Liz and I have both joint and individual sessions. Although we have different objectives he is able to manage us both very effectively. His sessions are always creative and we actually look forward to them - exercise has ceased to be a chore. When I have identified particular issues Dan designs a programme and we solve the problem. We plan on working with Dan for the next 10 years!

I began training with Dan Buda as I wanted to lose weight, increase my general fitness and strength, and improve my balance and flexibility. Well with his highly professional approach he definitely helped me to achieve 4 out of 5 of those goals, only failing on the weight loss, which I’m sure was just due to my continued overeating!
Anyhow, I’d certainly recommend to others their taking up training with Dan, which I hope to personally resume shortly, as without those regular sessions and due to my lack of self-motivation I’m now slipping back...
Incidentally, my original fantasy had been to become the world’s oldest parkourist – but I guess that that really was rather over-ambitious for a 73 year old – but who knows - if I'd just eat a bit less too! :)
