I've been going to Thrive for roughly a year. I gained weight from IVF treatments and pregnancy (hallelujah!). Last July I signed up and it changed my life completely, both mentally and physically. Simply the best decision I've ever made to join here. The PTs and Rhia are all amazing, plus the other members are so friendly. If you put the work in, come to sessions regularly and have the determination to have a better lifestyle- I guarantee you will not be disappointed with this place.

I took part in their July kick start programme. Four weeks of three training sessions per week, plus excellent nutrition advice. I found all of the Personal Trainers to be both professional and knowledgeable. Lots of coaching advice and alternative movements to help every level of fitness. Best of all was the small classes (10max.) This ensured that the PT was able to coach everyone depending on their needs, so avoiding the chance of injuries through incorrect posture or movements. Real encouragement and regular feedback. I’ve lost pounds and inches, built muscle and feel so much healthier. I would highly recommend this facility.

I am close to finish my 30 day kickstart programme at Thrive and it couldn’t have been better ! The workout sessions have been really fun and change regularly. The PTs always explain exercises and equipment use in depth and make sure every member is on board , never felt left out. Very friendly atmosphere ✌🏼

Not going to over exaggerate but this place actually changed my life. Before I got the courage to get in touch I was very unhappy and very anxious and scared about starting the gym and ‘what will people think of me’ but ever since the first ever call from Jack where I enquired was the start of something which has completely shifted my life.
All the guys here are so supportive and so kind and friendly toward you and really help you learn. But they also brought joy to my day too, everyone did… it’s such a nice relaxed and supportive community and now I am exercising confidently sometimes everyday and my confidence in my self and general happiness is just through the roof.

This is the perfect place to train,great vibe from the get go.
I finished a 4 week kick start and without hesitation signed up again. After every session I look forward to the next.i used to lack motivation in other gyms,not in this one .

Would highly recommend Thrive small group PT sessions. Hard work, but well worth it. Not cheap, but considerably less than single person sessions. With the chance to do extra sessions at no extra charge. (3 PT sessions a week, plus other sessions available). These guys will put you through it.

From the outset, great communication from Jack, I was to made to feel at ease along with the other newbies at the induction. Booking classes were so simple using an app on my phone, and whilst you can book on classes to suit your own requirements other class members were on the their own fitness journey & all exercises were catered for each person's ability. I've absolutely loved being part of the Thrive team & have decided to make the investment to get me to my fitness goal

I signed up to the kick-start programme at the beginning of August. The group PT sessions were engaging, friendly and tailored to each individual. Jack, Patrick and Mike are really good. The coaching and advice they give is great and I saw the improvements from week one to week four. I’d recommend this place if you’re looking for a good team to work with who don’t make things too complicated and good facilities to train at.

I have trained with Thrive for over a year and I can't recommend it enough! Jack & Patrick are very knowledgeable and professional in the way they plan / deliver monthly training plans which meet everyone's needs / ability levels.
The PT sessions / classes are all very structured and you are shown all techniques / exercises before having a go of them yourself. Jack & Patrick are very patient and dedicate as much time to you as you need.
They both create an excellent environment to workout in, to the point where you enjoy coming to the gym!
All the members are really friendly and nobody is judged on their levels of ability, shape or size.
If you want to get fitter, stronger and healthier...get to Thrive!

I run 3 or 4 times a week but I felt I needed to mix up my exercise to improve my running and help to loose the weight that has crept up. Having been a member of several gyms over the years I was unsure what Thrive could offer to keep me motivated and focussed but I took the recommendations from friends and went for the trial...best decision I made! Both Jack and Patrick are extremely knowledgable, supportive and tailor the workouts to your own ability. They offer a bespoke service and are focussed on what you need and how it will be achieved BUT they also ensure the environment is fun, inclusive and welcoming. The nutrition sessions are great with a realistic approach to being healthy. I can’t recommend Thrive enough...definitely worth the time and investment.

I cannot recommend Thrive enough! I was stuck in a rut with my training - endless spin classes and lacking confidence in the gym. My weight was constantly up and down due to trying diets I couldn’t maintain and not really having enough motivation and accountability to be consistent with the gym. It has now been almost a year since I signed up to a trial at Thrive - I have now reached and surpassed the goals I set last year! Everybody is really friendly, the gym and equipment is always immaculate and Jack, Patrick and Mike are SO knowledgable. They will provide you with all the tools, tailoring and motivation you need to reach your own personal goals.

I've been a member of numerous gyms over the years but have never really been consistent or stuck to them and have always ended up leaving.
Thrive is a completely different type of gym with a really unique ethos. It's not pretentious at all and is not full of muscle-wielding meat-heads or model type posers who make you feel inadequate. Instead, all of the members are friendly, down-to-earth, supportive, like-minded people.
The two owners, Patrick and Jack, are extremely knowledgeable as trainers, are friendly and down-to-earth, and are always on hand to help and guide you to reach your goals; whether this be during the individual PT sessions or during the large group classes. They always make you feel so welcome and treat you as an individual, tailoring the sessions to match your level and adapting them if needed, e.g. injury.
As others have said, it's a real community feel (and not in an awkward cheesy way) and has really changed my life for the better. I attend all my sessions now without hesitation, knowing that I'll get the most out of the facility, trainers and the social aspect of going.
I cannot recommend Thrive Optimal Human Performance enough. Without a shadow of a doubt THE best gym you'll ever have the pleasure of attending.

I can wholeheartedly recommend Thrive if you are looking for a more personal and challenging gym experience. Unlike other gyms I have been to, Thrive is a spacious, calm and friendly environment, with a good mix of people of different ages, fitness levels and abilities. Jack and Paddy are both very welcoming, assessing carefully your individual needs and ensuring you progress and feel challenged, without feeling out of your depth.

Feeling out of shape, unfit, unhealthy and not having been near a gym for 2-3yrs I’d planned on popping in to Thrive several times over a period of a few weeks. A combination of shame at how I’d let myself go and worry of walking into a gym environment had held me back. I wish I hadn’t waited so long. Without doubt the friendliest and most welcoming environment for anyone apprehensive about stepping into a gym. People of all ages and abilities. My training was tailored for my level. The first assessment was relaxed and gave me confidence i wasn’t a lost cause! The sessions are adjusted literally each time to push me just the right amount. Jack and Patrick are firstly genuine decent guys. They know anything you want to ask about and make training fun. Fast forward 4 weeks and I feel in the best shape physically and mentally for the past 5 years. If you’re even 1% considering the trial, honestly just try it and see for yourself. Stay away from the sled though 🤢🤣

It is far far superior than any other gym facility i have ever used.
From the very start you will be put on the right track to becoming a healthier and fitter you and believe me it works. JACK AND PATRICK have made going to the gym so much fun , the knowledge they have and the personal approach they have to each member is second to none.Along with the PT sessions the classes are fantastic. I've been a member of quite a few gyms over the years but Thrive is streets ahead of the rest. Patrick & Jack have a wealth of knowledge & are always on hand to assist if needed when I do my own workouts.
The PT sessions & classes are changed monthly so it never gets boring. I've been training for years but I have learnt so much since joining here in November 2018 and I've seen real results.
The most stand out thing for me is the community feel they've created. It sounds naff but it really is such a friendly place. There are no posers/bad attitudes to deal with, just like minded people that want to enjoy training & have a laugh. We have drinks on the last Friday of the month & there are other social events you can join in with.

I absolutely love being a part of the Thrive fam! I’ve been a member of various gyms over the last 20 years, but this is by far the most inclusive experience I’ve ever had. After having my first child a little over a year ago I was really apprehensive about starting training again...having piled on a huge amount of ‘maternity leave weight’ and having a 6m hiatus. From the moment I joined Thrive I haven’t looked back. I can honestly say I’ve never been made to feel even the slightest bit conscious.
My fave things about the ‘gym’:
- Jack, Paddy and Mike - They are all extremely knowledgable, professional and welcoming!
- The other members - Everyone is ridiculously friendly and supportive!
- The equipment - They’ve spared no expense
- The space - There isn’t a mirror in sight
- The flexibility/ease of booking (and just turning up)
- The variation in sessions - The programs vary each month.
... and I hear the coffee is great too!
