I went to start training sessions with Matt after having my children. I really wanted to improve my body tone which had been impacted by my pregnancies.
I had used other trainers before but I found that Matt was really set apart from the rest.
He was fantastic at finding exercises that would challenge me and help me meet my goals but also that would give me enough variety that I did not get bored.
As well as being more toned my overall fitness levels and mood have been greatly improved since working with Matt.
I would highly recommend to anyone looking at getting into or back to fitness

Matt is a brilliant person trainer. I have been training with him for 5 months now and he has helped me lose weight, improve my fitness and become stronger.
I was very new to working out so had fallen into the trap of the same cardio all the time and copying exercises I had seen online. Matt started with a variety of sessions to show me how many different ways you can work out. He explained the benefits of each type while ensuring I had the correct form and techniques. Matt is very knowledgeable and is always more than willing to explain what muscle groups we are working on and the science behind it.
I have now decided I want to work on my strength, in particular dead lifting.Matt has made me a tailored work out and within 6 weeks I managed a person best of 90kg!! I would never have achieved it without Matt's encouragement and him ensuring I learnt the correct form so I don't get injured.
I would highly recommend Matt as a personal trainer!

I approached Matt to help me train for a triathlon that I had spontaneously booked, he has been a great support to me during this process. Matt is an expert in all things fitness related and this really shines through in personal training and bootcamp sessions, he has helped to improve my weight lifting techniques massively and I have gone from only being able to squat using a bar with no weights, to squatting my own body weight in 8 weeks. I am prone to injury and this is the longest period of time I have constantly exercised without getting injured, which is amazing. Exercising is now part of my lifestyle and Matt has helped to make this happen. I have been spending 4 hours per week with Matt for the past 8 weeks, this has been easy as he is a genuine person who is easy to be around. Matt also sends me texts throughout the week to keep me on track, with new goals and exercise plans, I really appreciate the encouragement and it fuels me on the days that I am not training with him. I will continue to train with Matt and the lovely bootcamp family and would encourage others to do the same, you won’t regret it.

I have been working with Matt for the last three months. Matt has always been punctual. Matt certainly knows how to translate your goals into actionable programs.
Every week is different, so you don't get bored with the same old repetition. Matt has the ability to know just how far to push you. Yes, the personal training sessions are hard but exercise is based on the effort, time, reward ratio. The effort is steadily increased as you progress through the weeks. You'll get stronger, lose weight and feel fitter, with the associated increase in energy levels as well, which at my age is a bonus !
The individual exercise is always demonstrated first to ensure correct technique and posture. Matt does not stand idle, he offers encouragement when your struggling with the last set of reps. If you want to achieve your fitness goals through personal training or boot camps I would have no qualms recommending Matt Glover Fitness.

I started training with Matt in 2017; he was keen to understand what I wanted to achieve and focuses all our sessions on helping me smash my goals.
At the time we started training together I had an injury to my leg which I thought would restrict my progress. However, the plan he set up meant not only is my leg 100% better but I was recently able to run a half marathon much quicker than I thought possible.
Matt is very patient and ensures I understand each of the exercises so I can get the best results. He is an excellent motivator helping push me to new limits, all the while keeping me on track with my nutrition. As a result I’ve noticed huge improvements to my fitness and I have come much further than I ever would have imagined!
Matt has great people skills and I would highly recommend him no matter what the fitness goal.

I found Matt while looking for a personal trainer to help improve my performance in my sport. He took the time to research what I did and designed a plan around exercises which would benefit me the most, even getting a bit creative at times! His calm encouragements during exercises are a welcome change to the aggressive shouting I have experienced in the past with other PT's. I always know our sessions will be crammed with exercises and I've seen my strength and confidence in the gym improve during my time with Matt. Would recommend to any fitness ability.

I started training with Matt only a month ago but the commitment and the dedication I found in Matt is amazing!! He makes your training so constructively by making you push yourself and making sure you achieve something at the end of the training. Be it his personal training or the bootcamp, I find the training different each week making it interesting. I am not a natural exercise junky but I am now addicted to Matt's Bootcamp! Not only have I seen a huge difference in my fitness and strength but have met a great bunch of people, who are ever so welcoming and make joining far less daunting. Matt is a great motivator and he really knows his stuff. I never would have dreamt attempting any running events but a bunch of us joined Matt at Rough Runner recently (less than a year into joining the group) and completed the course! I have been doing personal training sessions with Matt to re-build the muscles after snapping my ACL whilst skiing. Matt has a very professional approach and pushed me hard, but the results have been fantastic. I have used Matt as my personal trainer and would love to give him more than a five star rating if I could! I originally started the sessions to get my fitness back to where it was a few years ago but he pushed me way beyond that, aswell as making me physically fit he also made me so much stronger. I joined Matt’s Bootcamp in May last year because since giving up horse riding and having my daughter, I had to shift some extra pounds and I wanted to lead a healthier lifestyle.
When I went for my first session I was apprehensive and had a real lack of confidence but that quickly disappeared with each session and the other bootcampers were so welcoming.
My fitness levels have gone from zero to being able to complete a whole class and with Matt’s encouragement, I have achieved exercises I would never have attempted. I even participated the bootcamp charity SMASH event for 5 hours of fitness, which before I joined Matt’s Bootcamp I wouldn’t have even considered.
I’m still on my fitness journey, but with Matt’s guidance I know that it’s lifestyle changes I’m making and not just a quick fix!

I have no hesitation in recommending Matt both as a PT and forBootcamp. I met Matt at Simply Gym in January 2016, about to start training for my 5th Moonwalk overnight powerwalk marathon. Having not trained with a PT before, I was a little apprehensive before the first couple of sessions as I had no idea what to expect but felt ready to change my fitness up a gear. Matt is a great motivator; all the kit we used was new to me and getting form correct was key from the beginning. He was always encouraging, especially when I was flagging, which made me dig deep and finish the exercise/circuit. He certainly pushed me beyond anything I ever thought I could achieve. I left the first session with a new enthusiasm and motivation for my fitness that I hadn’t felt in a long time. That year I took 48 minutes off my previous Moonwalk time.
I joined Matt’s Bootcamp in June 2016 and have seen my fitness and strength impove considerably since I begain training with Matt and then boot camp. My first Bootcamp event started with a 5k run which was a huge achievement for me personally given I have powerwalked for years. I have since participated in the 5k Rough Runner obstacle course race with the bootcamp team, something I would never have considered previously. I had extra PT sessions with Matt in the run up to that for upper body strength, which helped my confidence too. My body shape has changed with my upper body especially lean. I am now training under Matt's guidance for Tough Mudder half, which boosts my run fitness to 5 miles and really looking forward to it. Plus we have another bootcamp charity event scheduled for September which keeps us all motivated and continues the fitness goals. Boot camp members are a very social bunch of people, there are regular "socials" and celebrations to mark events we have participated in.
The difference my improved fitness has made to me generally is huge and I love it and remain motivated to progress.

My friend and I have been having personal training sessions with Matt once a week for the past few months and couldn’t be more pleased! Initially we signed up for 5 sessions but have since signed up for more as we felt we were continuing to learn. We wanted to build lean muscle and increase our fitness. We had been getting bored with classes we had been going to and Matt has now only shown us some great new HIIT and strength workouts but also made training exciting again. We’ve also been introduced to new techniques, equipment and training methods making going to the gym something I look forward to. He tailors the sessions to our capabilities but pushes us to do our best (in a non shouty/scary way). If you’re not sure about whether PT is for you I’d definitely recommend Matt. He listens to what you’re trying to achieve and makes it fun and unintimidating.

I joined Matt's bootcamp last summer to keep fit in between netball season. As it turned out, i met some amazing people who are now friends and enjoyed every session. I know go alongside netball and will be continuing all year round. Matt is encouraging and the sessions are varied and enjoyable. I completed my first obstacle race last year with some of the regulars (Tough Mudder Full) and took extra PT sessions. which i really enjoyed. Always a laugh and a burpee!!

I joined bootcamp last May because I’d recently moved to Swindon and lost my exercise mojo. Despite my severe lack of fitness everyone was so encouraging and made me feel really motivated and welcome. I even managed to complete a full tough mudder in September and I would not have been able to do that with out Matts help!
Every session is different and engaging. I really recommend coming along, everyone is so welcoming and the exercises are tailored for different fitness levels, which made it a lot less daunting after my first session.

In January 2016 At 61 years young I decided to get fit (again!!). Decided to join Simply Gym and was contacted by Matt. After a brief intro one day a plan was hatched and away we went. All I wanted was to be fit.
Initially the going was tough but we both persevered, nutritional advice was given and extra fitness activities were discussed. Goals were being achieved. After six months I was 13 kilos lighter and putting in a 34 minute 6 km run.
Matt is always there to discuss the merits and pitfalls of your personal fitness and way of life to get you to where you want to be. Most of all he takes an interest in YOU.
Where am I now? 12months on and after an unplanned achilles tendon issue which prevented me from moving my fitness level up a notch I can still put in a 34 minute 6 km run and life is good.

After running for a while, I lost my 'MO-JO' - I joined a gym and Matt had a chat with me and I signed him up to be my PT for 10 sessions. He pushed me to where I wanted and needed to be, got me running for longer and helped my stamina. Great gym sessions, very encouraging and supportive.
