Derek was great. Prompt and courteous and made a good job of the joinery as part of a damp treatment. He protected all my carpets with plastic sheeting. He kept good social distance from me too when we had to discuss anything. I'm a landlord and Richardson Starling have completed several projects over the years for me. Steven the surveyor is always so knowledgeable too . I would highly recommend the team.

I selected this company because they had previously done an excellent job on a larger project. The present job was to remove and replace water damaged plasterboard resulting from an earlier leak from a flat roof. A survey was first of all carried out by Steven and the work was arranged to start soon after. The work was carried out by Dave and Lee to a very high standard with little or no disruption to the rest of the house. Two flights of stairs were covered in protective film and , on completion, there was absolutely no dust or debris remaining.

Davey and Lee were punctual, professional and the work they completed for us was to a high standard. They explained the issues and demonstrated why we had them and what they would be doing to fix the problem and prevent them happening in the future. I had Lee and Costas here for two days, treating the property for woodworm and insulating my loft and underfloor. I was pleasantly surprised by their politeness and willingness to get the job done to a very high standard. They endeavoured to keep mess to a minimum and cleaned up as much as they could at the end of both days. Such a pleasure to have workmen that were actually friendly towards myself, my family and the yappy dogs. Job done to perfection and it’s not like me not to be able to find one fault but these guys are really GOOD.

Although not the customer, i recently had Richardson and Starling carry out work at the property i stay in. Father and son team Lee and Dave Shepherd were sent to do the job, and it became obvious from the very start that they were professionals (warning signs outside the front door, another sign actually stuck on the door itself, carpet protection laid between the front door and the jobsite and something which showed to me a commitment to safety- a fire extinguisher.) The work took 2 days to complete, during which they gave me updates on the progress, and an estimate of how long they would take. Upon completion, they a loaded all the debris into their van ready for disposal, and ensured the worksite and carpet were cleaned and hoovered Before leaving, they took time to find out what and when the next step would take place. Highly recommend!

Obviously any form of rot in your property is never good news however the company has been very easy to deal with in less than ideal circumstances. Very professional and gave good guidance. In particular Davey and Lee were great to deal with and the plasterer did an excellent job on the cornicing.

I contacted Richardson & Starling to have some damp patches repaired, and from the initial contact, to the completion of the work, I have been delighted with the service. Lynette in the office has been extremely helpful in arranging times which suited my work situation. The joiners Stuart and his son were extremely efficient and pleasant, they arrived well ahead of time, allowing me to go to work on time ! Very impressed with the service throughout. Despite my initial work request being held back due to the Aberdeen Lockdown, Richardson & Starling were quick to respond as soon as restrictions were lifted. The workmen were quick to arrive and the mould affected plasterboard ripped out, treated and the next day plastered up with no fuss. From initial consultation to completion, I cannot recommend further.

From first contact this company was prompt and efficient; the surveyor arrived in Braemar on time and the report and quote were issued promptly. Work to replace a damaged floor was scheduled & carried out on the 22nd & 23 July, efficiently and professionally. The 3 guys were very friendly and polite, and left no mess afterwards. We contacted Richardson & Starling at the start of July about a woodworm problem we were having, and within two weeks we'd had an initial visit, emailed quote and the work had been completed. In fact it would have been within a week if we'd been able to get time off work earlier ourselves! The work itself took only a couple of hours and was handled professionally and courteously by David Paterson, who arrived just after 8 am in the morning to complete the work. Overall we're very pleased and would return to this company again (though in the nicest of possible ways we hope we never have to!)
