Very slow at responding. If you’re wanting to get rid of your rats fast then this company is not for you. Took 5 weeks for the appointment to come around. 2 weeks for the report to be ready, once paid took another week to receive the report. Have now confirm a new day in 2 weeks time for follow up appointment. Fingers cross they find the issue this time.

Two of your staff, John and Steven, did an inspection on shared drains under our house and our neighbours house on 16 December in Derbyshire. They were very friendly and professional and went to a lot of trouble to find the problems with the drains that we suspect have been the cause for many years of pest infestations in our houses. The final outcome is not yet decided but they advised that they will recommend remedial work that we hope may finally solve this long running problem. We cannot commend them highly enough for their expertise and persistence in identifying problems, particularly with these older houses, and their willingness to keep us informed about what they were doing. This is not an easy or pleasant job but John and Steven are providing an excellent and very valuable service and we would highly recommend them and this company.

Can't recommend this company highly enough. I was advised to use them by my pest control guy who said they were the best in the country. From the very first contact I found Davy extremely helpful. He knew I was completely freaking out about the rats in my loft, so immediately thought of me when he had a cancellation slot, so was able to bring my appointment forward. John (who carried out the survey) was very friendly and reassuring. The results were emailed to me quickly and the problem diagnosed. Turns out the rats were climbing up our water drain pipes and entering the loft from the roof, which is easy to fix. I can now sleep at night again.

I wrote this review over a year ago but it doesn't appear that it was published. So I'll try again. I do have my neighbours permission to post this review and at least this proves it was a permanent solution. We were plagued for over two years, our lives were a misery, we had numerous visits from a decent pest controller but there was no sign of entry. We called in Davy and his team. After extensive investigations, the team were pretty sure they were entering via the adjoining property but were still at a loss as to the means of access. After further investigations they went into my neighbours sub floor and dug down, past the normal drainage system. What they found was astonishing! A 200 year old french drain that would have been used when the land was farm land with no houses. It had collapsed and the rats had burrowed up into my neighbours sub floor and once they were there the two houses were their oyster. Tommy and his team worked in an incredibly stuffy and tight underfloor space and fixed the broken drain. This was November 18 and we've not had a single issue since. We can't thank the team enough, our once loved house had become a space which we hated, now all that has changed. The team are consummate professionals and won't let anything beat them. They returned our lives to normal and we will be forever grateful to them.

In March this year, Davy Brown of RatDetection.com carried out a video survey of our sewers both mine and my semi-detached neighbour’s all in one go. My neighbour needed some persuasion because he had already had a drains survey done by another drains surveyor County Drains to no effect. They missed the critical defect. Davy had excellent camera equipment and was very thorough. When he spotted something interesting he got his high res camera out, the one with the rotating controllable head and produced a high quality video of the defect. The first photo is a screenshot from that video and shows what Davy saw just round the 90 deg bend from the underground sewer leading into my neighbour’s internal vertical soil stack. The other photo is what we found when we eventually opened my neighbour’s wall to investigate. Davy spotted the defect missed by a previous survey. We had had rats roaming our wall cavities and roofspaces for seven years, now we are clear !

They were extremely efficient on both visits and their staff were friendly and helpful in explaining what they were doing and what needed to be done (thanks John!). Two and a half years of wasting money on kitchen extension roof finally found Davy online. Had a survey done and like most we had a redundant drain leaving access to foundation and therefore rats climbing up cavity walls to nest in insulation of kitchen roof. This is a brilliant company. I had an intermittent 10- year rat problem which Davy and his colleague solved in a single visit after all sorts unpleasant half- measures with trapping and poison. Previously other pest controllers had failed to make a correct diagnosis or think beyond a short- term extermination approach. These guys are real professionals- very knowledgable, thorough and pleasant to deal with. The problem (which turned out to be a redundant opening deep in the drain system), was rapidly and correctly identified with a special camera and Davy's experienced eye. A previous drain survey by another company had failed to pick this up or to realise its significance. After a clear explanation the opening was sealed using some very impressive equipment. From that moment onwards, zero rats. I'm writing this review 2 years later so this really was a permanent solution. I spent hours researching online and tried all sorts of things by myself and had expensive failures with pest controllers. I wish I'd known about these guys sooner. Many thanks!

Brilliant company would highly recommend them Davy was true to his word identified the problem were others didn't , he told us that he couldn't repair with a liner and would have to dig some of our newly laid patio up , which possibly needed 4 or 5 slabs up the patio cost us a lot of money and being a sandstone colour slab the thought of mess was mind boggling.
