Live bee removal... I contacted SwarmCatcher and spoke with Bev in regards to a swarm of bees that had taken up home in our active chimney on a thatched roofed cottage. Bev was very professional, knowledgable and helpful. We discussed the options available and how I could save some of the expense by arranging my own access (in the form of scaffolding) to the property and our own builder to make good to the chimney, once the bees were removed. However, SwarmCatcher could offer these services if I hadn't the time or knowhow to organise them myself. It is worth mentioning that my house insurance with NFU covered a certain proportion of the cost towards bee removal, which was a happy and unexpected discovery! I have learnt much about bees over the past few weeks and it is important to do our upmost to save them and to do our upmost to re-home them in a situation such as this! I researched who best to approach to help with this and SwarmCatcher seem to be one of the few companies that will remove the bees and re-home them, rather than exterminating them. I thoroughly approve of their ethos, their excellent service and friendly manner. Thank you SwamCatcher for all your help, you were a pleasure! Phoebe

When we discovered that our new house was also home to a large bee colony we were very worried we might have to have them exterminated which is the last thing we would have wanted. When we found Swarmcatcher online and made contact with them they were really helpful and alleviated all our fears. Our bees were very high up in an old property and I thought it might be very difficult to get them out safely. However Ian made it look easy even when it turned out we had three colonies not just one. I was lucky enough to be able to spend the day with Ian when he removed the colonies and it was fascinating learning all about bees. It was like an experience day in your own home and worth it for that alone. Sadly no honey for us but also no more bees so we are able to get on with our renovation. I thought the cost was very reasonable as Ian was with us for two days in the end and it is more than worth it knowing our bees are now safely living elsewhere. If you have a bee problem we would have no hesitation in recommending this company and would urge you to have them removed rather than having to go down the extermination route. Thanks Ian Bev!!

Bev and team were great in helping us with removal of bees from our chimney. I wanted to work with an ethical business who would remove the bees and rehome, whilst taking care of my property and that is exactly what we got. Thank you SwamCatcher , I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Contacted SwarCatcher about what I though was a bees nest in my roof but on further inspection via photos provided, turned out it was an old wasps nest. Happy to chat with me on the phone and give me some advice about bees in general and how to isolate roof void to stop further ingress of beer or wasps.

Ian and Gabe from Swarmcatcher removed a nest of bees from my home this week (May 2021) that was in an awkward position between my chimney and a cavity wall. They arrived on time and were very friendly and easy to talk to.
They kept me informed of how they would tackle the job and successfully removed the bees (alive) and safely stored them with the minimum amount of disruption to the structure of my chimney. Ian and Gabe are obviously knowledgeable about bees, and how to handle them, but also how to get access to them with the minimum of disruption.
They helpfully fitted C-Caps to my chimney pots to make them bee/wasp proof and cleaned up after themselves.
Bev was extremely helpful and easy to talk to when initially discussing what would be required in order to safety remove the bees. Another person who clearly knows his bees and someone who is a man of his word - when he said he would ring me back shortly with an update he always did. As I am someone with limited knowledge of bees, Bev was very patient making sure I understood all the aspects of the job so I was well informed as a customer.
I can highly recommend swamcatcher and I'm really happy with the completed job.

Greatly indebted to Swarmcatcher for helping to remove and relocate the bees that have been living under the roof of our house for many years. Their service was second to none. They came very quickly and managed to remove the bees safely, with minimal damage to our house. I would highly recommend them to anyone who might need to remove bees but does not want to kill them. Thank you Swarmcatcher

I would highly recommend this firm. We have had bees in our chimney for a number of years. They were removed fully and with care in a most professional manner. A second team reinstated the chimney making it secure from further swarms. Bev ensures all relevant information and photos are sent to her prior to the work and is happy to discuss any queries or issues. This means no time is wasted on site and costs are kept to a minimum. Full information on pricing is given prior to committing to the work. This is an excellent firm who take great pride in their work.

I contacted Bev at Swarmcatchers as I had a honey bees nest in a disused chimney that needed to be removed prior to an extension. From the first point of contact Bev was incredibly helpful and talked me through everything that needed to happen. He got me booked in very quickly as the team were in my local area. Ian and Gabriel were onsite at the house to remove the nest and they worked incredibly hard and professionally to get the bees out. I could not recommend the service highly enough.

I found bees entering the fireplace of my home. I contacted swarmcatcher after reading the excellent information on their website and spoke to Beverley. She couldn't have been more helpful. She asked me to send a picture first to identify the type of bee. She came back to me next day with info. All this cost me nothing! If you have a problem with pests at home don't hesitate to contact them. they do offer paid pest removal services but will not try the hard sell.

Really helpful - gave great advice over the phone. Helped me identify the type of bees that have made their home in my wall. Reassured to know that they will leave of their own accord and if the problem persists Beverley and her team are there to help. Thank you!!

First class job from start to finish, very professional & adapted to every eventuality, not an easy job but done never the less, (bees had gone into void on side of dormer roof) Would definitely recommend, prior to engaging them to carry out the work several other people came up with plenty of idea's but so glad I used this company, Proper Job
Thanks Again, Regards Brian Carr

Very professional service, friendly and very helpful people. Eye-wateringly expensive, but saved the bees and allowed me to repair the roof where they had been nesting.

I spoke to Bev about what appeared to be a bee infestation and was given assistance to point me in the right direction to deal with what were, in fact, wasps. Thanks Swarmcatcher!
