A. M. M.Shawlands branch have nice friendly staff from the Pharmacists, the ladies in the front shop serving us all to the delivery drivers. It's thanks to Amanda I get my prescription on time with no problems anymore after a few years of making two trips every two weeks because there was always a problem at my Doctor surgery . I have been a customer for around 20+ years as has my son we have always found the staff to be respectful, helpful, patient and understanding a quality rarely found in any chemist shop these days so wherever I am and need a chemist I google to find the nearest Mackie's. So a big thank you to John Paul for all his hard work and giving us more Mackie Chemist shops all over Glasgow .

I.this pharmacy has on multiple occasions been literal lifesavers for the last 3 years - from genuine concern when my drs wasnt doing what they should which led to me changing GPs and getting the care i desperately needed, to delivering everything my chronically ill self needs whilst i remain in shielding as im immunocompromised. when i had a bad day and i had to pick up medication pre pandemic i knew it would cheer me up to go to the pharmacy of all places, says a lot about the people working here. i have never had a bad experience here, theyre highly skilled and provide an efficiency i rarely see, in spite of continuous heavy workloads. someone ripping the buzzer off our building and incompetent factors have left me more vulnerable and they sent it out the same day after a phone call as i missed a delivery attempt. they care to the point where i get teary! cant recommend them enough, and i say that as a person that needs medication every day.

On a negative note I hate the new makeover , the shop was much better as it was.
L. M.I use the pharmacy allot and they are very helpful and friendly and give great advice. Picking up my regular prescriptions is easy as they pick them straight up from my doctors for me. Also open late which is great if you work during the week. Definitely recommend.

M.I’ve been using Mackies for over 20 yrs, never ever had a problem with them,went in to get a cough bottle for a very bad dose of the cold and couldn’t believe they wouldn’t sell me a cough bottle,was told need to go get a Covid test,WHY I don’t have Covid.but I think the pharmacist in Mackies Shawlands is being very unreasonable and maybe a bit paranoid obviously doesn’t know the proper symptoms as a continuous cough is if u have been coughing for more than 1 or more hours.plus when u go onto the web site to try get a test they R telling u please don’t ask for a test if u don’t have any of these symptoms as we need the test for people who do have Covid.so how many people have went in for a cough bottle and been told sorry we can’t sell u a cough bottle u need to go get a Covid test.so how many people have been told this,am surprised they haven’t caused panic in people.
