Gary is an absolute superstar. Gary contacted me after I shared a bad experience with another photographer on a actors group online. He completely restored my faith! From the consultation and planning to the actual session on the day, I was made to feel like my ideas and personality would be seen and heard and the final images really do show that! On the day, Gary was kind, filled me with confidence and modelling tips, kept me topped up with coffee(!) and was just an all round brilliant human being, full of amazing stories about his vast body of work. Will definitely be contacting Gary again as soon as I need more photos!

Working with Gary is an absolute pleasure and an experience I would (and do!) recommend to everyone. I have been fortunate to work with Gary on several occasions now and every time has given the same results, a thoroughly enjoyable day and a series of fantastic photographs. As someone who has body confidence issues (as many of us do), Gary's concepts of using dudeoir and promoting positive body images was very intriguing. On the day I wasn't sure what to expect or at what point my anxieties would overbear my confidence. But as I have come to learn, there is no-one quite like Gary for instilling personal confidence. Gary has a wonderful way of creating an atmosphere that is both relaxing and empowering. Thanks to his artistic eye, since our photoshoot together there have been apparent positive changes in the way I look at and consider myself physically. Its really interesting to view yourself from different views and aspects, seeing yourself from an outside view rather than the reflected mirror images we become so accustomed to defining ourselves by in our every day lives. This is a real opportunity to develop your self awareness, to see how different things fit with your body shape and appreciating how your body looks, even those bits we might not be so fond of. A highly commendable photographer, a fantastic rememberable day out and a fantastic boost to one's confidence. What more could you ask for? I certainly can't wait to plan our next venture!

I would like to relay my fantastic experience with Gary. It was a cold, but sunny day in January on a damp beach in Somerset. It was not a normal thing for me to do to be dressed as a merman, Gary was very professional, very kind and understanding, which put me at ease. The way Gary approached the photo shoot by making me relaxed, feeling good about myself and by doing that Gary could get the brilliant images out on that day. I was very surprised that I could look so good in a photo. The reason for the photos was to show a man of an older age, with a fuller body could come over in a positive and in a fun way. Gary does excellent art photography and I am the proud owner of 3 such prints. My wife normally will not allow her picture taken but Gary put her at ease for a shoot before our wedding. And subsequently was our wedding photographer. His photography didn't overtake the wedding people were allowed to enjoy themselves, but still we were presented with a comprehensive colour and a black and white album that covered the whole day. I've worked with Gary on 3 shoots so far and each time he's made me feel so at ease it's unreal. I'd never been part of a photography shoot before so was a little (ok, a lot!) nervous going in to it. Where do I look? What face do I pull? Just what do you do with your hands when they're down?? I need not have feared. Gary was absolutely fantastic from the moment I said "Hi". I immediately felt very comfortable, and Gary explained every aspect of what he wanted to achieve, and what was expected of me - the main thing being to have fun with it! The time flew by, which is a real testament to how Gary interacts with the people he's working with. Nothing was awkward, everything flowed smoothly, and it all felt natural. Before we knew it we had spent a good few hours shooting, and got some fantastic pieces of art, because that's what Gary shoots - art! The vision Gary has is one that's unique. Anyone can pick up a camera and point & shoot, but it takes something more to able to translate an idea from your head into something real, which is what Gary excels at. You can feel the passion Gary has for photography before, during and after the shoot has happened. He keeps in great contact to let you know timescales of when first edits will be received, often coming in way before you expect them! This just shows how invested he is in creating beautiful images and making sure everyone loves them. I am super excited for the upcoming shoots we have, I even think his creativity is rubbing off on me as I've started coming up with ideas!

Contacted Gary after seeing his pics of a friend and he was super responsive and made everything easy. Arranged a date to shoot and turned up and he made the whole experience so comfortable and enjoyable! I wanted outdoor shots aswell so he selected the perfect location and nothing was too much trouble. I only booked half a day and he didn’t seem to be pressured by time atall, infact it was me that said I had to go. He chose numerous pics and edited them slightly and sent them over so quickly! I was beyond impressed! Cannot recommend him enough! I am quite bland looking compared to his usual models but wow he made the whole experience amazing and what a wonderfully eclectic guy! Garys work helped to define who we were as a band in terms of identity, styling, and creative direction. In 2017 we asked Gary to film the video for our single Velvet Glove, which far exceeded all of our expectations. He had so many original ideas, and understands how visual ideas translate to film. Gary is a true visionary.....innovative but never predictable. He has the rare quality of taking his clients brief, but taking it to another level beyond most peoples imagination.
