I ordered a pencil portrait of my girlfriends dog and what I received was absolutely amazing! The drawing was an accurate reflection of the photo but also instilled a sense of artistic flair when viewing it. It took about 5-6 weeks for Mike to draw the portrait and the timeline was agreed in advanced so that it would be received before the Christmas holidays. Mike was responsive during the wait period and upfront on what needed to be provided, paid and agreed for. Definitely recommend if you wish to have a memory hand-drawn, it was well-worth the money and the best surprise I could give the girlfriend (besides a real dog).

I have had two pencil drawings done from Mike - one of my dog and one of my Nan's cottage. He has really captured the likeness of my dog and he has even included the glint in his eye. Since having the portrait done, he has sadly passed away but it is a beautiful reminder of him! The detail in the cottage is absolutely breathtaking. There was quite a lot of garden scenery but he has managed to capture every single bit of detail, which I imagine was very difficult. For the hours and effort that Mike must put into the drawings, the price is very reasonable! I would highly recommend MCB portraits to anyone and will definitely be using Mike again in the future.

I provided photographs and a rough layout to him and he quoted a price and a delivery time. I found Mike on Google while looking for an artist to do a portrait for my mother-in-laws 70th, of her springer spaniel. My husband and I were very impressed with the quality of his work and were even more delighted when we received the picture - it was so life-like. My mother-in-law was also blown away and loved the picture. I also got Mike to do a picture of an engagement photo of my husband and I, it needed a bit of tweaking before I was satisfied - which is why it's good to view beforehand - but Mike was very happy to adjust it until I was happy.
