Matthew did a fantastic job leading up to and during the wedding day. His flexibility really made a difference, especially as it rained on our engagement shoot! Unlike many photographers who, on the wedding day, ruin it for everyone being in the way - Matthew blended into the background and captured some wonderful moments. Matt is an amazing wedding photographer and a lovely person to have around too. He photographed our Brighton wedding and he did such a fantastic job! We booked Matthew for our wedding photography and it was honestly the best decision. Matt is everything you could wish for in a photographer! He captured our wedding day absolutely perfectly, the photos are just incredible. We got married in July 2021 and after a year and a half of worrying if the wedding would even go ahead I was gutted to wake up to rain. Matt was awesome at putting my mind at rest though and at every break in the clouds we went dashing outside to get some snaps. Looking at them now you would never know that it was grey for most of the day! He also made sure to get photos of all of our immediate family and so at Christmas we were able to gift all of our parents and siblings photos of them on the day which was really special. He really understood what we wanted from our photos which was a true representation of our day, not staged shots, and he was great at making everyone feel comfortable. We decided not to have a videographer at our wedding and instead Matt created a slideshow of our day set to music. I honestly think it's better than any video we could have ended up with. We will truly cherish these photos forever, thank you Matt!

Matt photographed our wedding in October 2019 and we recommend this gentleman wholeheartedly, he was absolutely brilliant! Matt took the time to get to know us before the event, through email and a meeting at the venue, and really took the time to understand what it was we were after. He works very hard to capture the day as it is, and this comes across so well in his work. The candid moments he caught on our day were exactly the moments the day will be remembered for. On the day he was punctual, and had some great creative ideas, capturing them in a really relaxed manner. He blended in with our guests, and in the nicest possible way it was like he wasn't there at all most of the time. His preparation meant that time taking posed photos was minimal, so we could all spend our time just enjoying the day, which Matt captured beautifully. After the day Matt got us some preview photographs ready really quickly, and the presentation of the finished work which followed was thoughtful and had obviously been given his full attention. If you are looking for a photographer who will capture the feel and moments of the day, in an unobtrusive, calm and above all friendly way, Matt is well worth your time to talk to!

We booked Matt after he did the photos for a friends wedding. From the start he was very professional, very friendly and basically a really nice guy to work with. Most importantly Matt responded quickly to any email enquiry and when you are planning a wedding, good communication with people involved is a god send! We didn't want morning shots so Matt did us a great deal for, I think we had him for 5 hours, although he stayed an extra hour free of charge so he could get our first dance! Matt blended in really well with the guests and no one felt like they had a camera in their face. I've seen some photos that I don't recall Matt even being there to take them! We now have our photos back and we couldn't be happier with them. Wedding photos are so important and you have to get it right with the photographer you hire, we certainly did when we asked Matt to be part of our day. Not only is he a lovely guy to work with but he also has a persona that puts you at ease in front of the camera so you look relaxed, he's also a bit of a cutie.... Wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone!

Matt was recently our photographer at our wedding, from the moment he arrived he made us feel at ease and barely even noticed he was there. This meant he captured some really beautiful natural shots that we were hoping for! The slideshow he made for us after the day was absolutely beautiful! Matt photographed our wedding in August. We both felt so lucky to have had the most wonderful day where everything fell into place, ran smoothly and everyone had a great time. Matt was definitely a part of this in his photography. He is a very versatile photographer who's pictures are fabulous in terms of the range of natural, formal, close up and arty and whole scenes. We love both the colour and black and white images he has taken also.The photos are such quality. Matt took time to understand that neither of us like having our picture taken (apart from a silly selfie) and neither of us like ourselves in pictures or feel photogenic. To have such a gorgeous set of wedding pictures to treasure forever that we both love is a testament to his work. We also had 3 different locations on the day from getting ready, the registry office and reception venue and Matt styled this like the pro he is, even popping to the reception before hand to look at where the good shots might be. Matt always kept in touch with us from the start to end of the process and added little personalised touches for us along the way that were beautiful and thoughtful. We wanted lots of fun and natural shots and he did this perfectly by fitting into the day casually but also using a little secret stealth. We didnt feel like the photos were an obligatory task but casual and enjoyable. We couldn't have asked for a better person to capture our special day and we would both highly recommend Matt as a wedding photographer to anyone looking.

My husband and I had Matt as our wedding photographer and we couldn't have been more pleased that we chose him! From the very beginning he was very communicative and easy to reach, and always more than happy to answer any questions or queries we had. We met up with him a couple of times to go through ideas and talk through what to expect. We ended up booking a pre-wedding shoot and got some lovely pictures - a nice preview of what was to come! We are both quite camera shy which is why we loved Matt's documentary style photography. Fenella and I got married 2 months ago and we are so pleased that we chose Matt to capture our wedding day. We had a long engagement so we initially spoke to a number of photographers to see if there was a good fit. From our 1st call with Matt it was clear he was the guy for us, very professional, relaxed and personable at the same time. We met him in Brighton to look through his work and his style which confirmed it was a great match. The photos he captured of the day are perfect and depict the tone and happiness amazingly. We wanted a documentary style of everyone just enjoying themselves without realising their was a camera in the room. Everyone was so comfortable, some can’t even remember him being there (a good thing!), and he also managed to instruct a very excited newly wed couple around Green Park in London to get some stunning photos. The post-wedding services have been brilliant, we received an amazing (teaser) slide show which we still love and cant stop watching after a month. Recently we received all the photos which are online so we can share with friends and family who can view and order prints. The whole process is so smooth and easy! He has a great talent for becoming almost invisible, which resulted in the perfect natural shots we had hoped for. He provided great direction for the bride and groom shoot and offered to take us out at different times of the day in order to shoot a variety of photos, including night shots which were truly breathtaking.
