I first met Kirsty while networking but I'd also heard her name recommended by several local business owners too. Updating my brand photos had been on my wish list for a while, so when Kirsty launched her fantastic photography subscription package I jumped at the chance to work with her! The whole process of working with Kirsty went above and beyond! My first photo shoot was focused around creating new on brand images for the launch of my new website. Kirsty gave some really valuable insights into the type of images that would work well for my brand story and how this could fit in with the structure of my new website. What a lovely experience! Kirsty instantly put everyone at ease, including our two young girls who can be quite reticent in new situations. From the very first phone call consultation, she took the time to understand not just what I thought I wanted but also to get under the skin of my business to better inform her direction of the shots. I am not comfortable in-front of the camera but Kirsty's entire approach is disarmingly personable. My first Little Pickles Photography experience began with a beautiful, calm and calming space and the warmest of welcomes in a beautiful home environment - perfect for putting families at ease. I was blown away by the soft lighting and decor, stunning baby portraits and exquisite baby and mama wardrobe options available. Kirsty is a rare gem of a photographer and working with her has been an absolute delight. Before our day together, she seemed to understand, without any elaboration from me, that I was apprehensive about our photoshoot. Like most people, I regard myself as unphotogenic and rigid in front of the camera. Kirsty encouraged me to be specific with my discomfort – what was it exactly that I didn’t like about being photographed? Giving this matter thought and then articulating my concerns to her (and feeling understood) put me in a much better frame of mind for the shoot. But I was still nervous. How unnecessary those nerves turned out to be! With her lovely manner (easy, chatty, relatable) Kirsty manages to turn an event that could be notable for its formality into one that zings with fun. I felt instantly at ease in her company. We were on a journey together, an adventure – one in which there were no rules, no “cannots”. We tried different angles, different lights, different outfits, different colour schemes, different locations, different concepts – all with that same sense of curiosity and adventure. Kirsty brings a wealth of knowledge and confidence to her craft (which is probably why she can afford to be so relaxed and flexible during a shoot), and I am thrilled with the results. Through her lens, she truly drew out the best in me, and for the first time I feel excited about my personal branding (both as a yoga teacher and a copywriter). I simply cannot recommend Kirsty highly enough.

The whole experience from planning the shoot to viewing the photos was fun, easy and really informative. Would give so many more stars if I could - a top rated experience with Kirsty in the studio getting head-shots done! A lockdown photoshoot sounded a little risky but, when we talked it through, Kirsty explained her safety measures so I was quite reassured. We discussed the images in advance to capture my book launch and the working from home feel that I wanted to capture and Kirsty, like the pro she is, had some great ideas. The online registration process was slick and easy and having a regular subscription means that I will keep my brand photos fresh and up to date. The pre-shoot checklist meant that we were able to use the time really efficiently as we had already thought about background, props and poses. It turned out to be great fun as we did everything socially distanced etc and laughed at some of the measures we took. People often approach me when I'm speaking at conferences because they recognise me from my PR photographs so it is essential that I look like me, but the best version of me. Kirsty was brilliant at helping me with flattering poses and lighting. The resulting images capture the way I feel; I'm a professional who clearly loves her work. Wow is all I can say we were so impressed with my 2 Lil munchkins pictures! I recently had a brand shoot for my business with Kirsty at Little Pickles and I have been totally blown away but not just the quality of the images that were created but also by the whole process. Kirsty got 'under the skin' of my business and made sure she totally understood the image that I wanted to reflect though my photographs.
