Wow! Kate is such a talented woman and such a natural with children. Her photos are amazing, I was crying lots of happy tears when we went to our viewing. We were given a voucher for Kate Kirby photography 2 years ago as a wedding gift. We would not usually have a professional photographer take our pictures because I can achieve the same result with my new Huawei P30 Pro! How wrong could I be... Kate has taken the most beautiful pictures of our daughter, in a surrounding suggested by Kate, at the most incredible time of day for the lighting, things an iPhone can not do and Google can not suggest. Kate achieved this with a calm demeanour creating a relaxed environment for our daughter helping to achieve smiles and not tears. Thank you for your time and expertise.

I was devastated to miss out on Kate's bluebell photoshoot but she got in touch when she had a cancellation so I booked immediately. On the day of the shoot my daughters were having a tough day (additional needs) and Kate handled it with professionalism and kindness. She made me feel like I wasn't just a rubbish parent. Even with the girls struggling, she managed to take some amazing shots and capture a beautiful moment with them reading a book to their baby sister. My husband loves the photo of us all together and I will be sending prints to both sets of grandparents. Good price and will be a repeat customer. Kate did a wonderful job taking photos of our family, including 3 young children (5, 3 and 7 months). We find it almost impossible to get them all together at once for photos at home, but Kate got some brilliant pictures. I booked my newborn/family photo shoot with Kate when I was still 6 months pregnant. She was prompt with her response and was efficient in rebooking our shoot when an impending lockdown threatened is being able to capture my new addition in that perfect stage. Her studio was nice and clean and she was extremely resourceful and patient which is great when working with newborns! My little Laila had a few accidents and required breaks in between to feed but Kate was so accommodating and made us feel extremely comfortable. She was also great in directing my 5 year old, capturing him beautifully. We didn’t even realise we were there for as long as we were because it was just so natural. I love our photos and would definitely book Kate again for any future family shoots.

Our visit to Kate was the first out the house with our little girl so was a nerve wracking one to say the least! I can not explain how at ease Kate made me feel as soon as we got there!! She took charge and was great with Sienna! (LG) Sienna slept for the entire 3 hour session and I’m sure Kate’s confidence and the relaxed atmosphere played a huge part in this. We have used Kate for portraits of our son several times and have always been delighted with the outcome. Kate is very professional, she is amazing with children and manages to engage them in such a way that her pictures are absolutely stunning. Would use her again anytime.

We really enjoyed our session with Kate for some family photos and a cake smash for our 1 year old. She was really helpful beforehand in terms of coming up with ideas and themes for the session and was very creative. She engaged our kids well, even though both were very tired! We ended up with some wonderful shots!

I first met Kate at my maternity photo shoot at Ashton Court. She had done a fantastic job capturing those special last few months of pregnancy (with some truly awesome dresses...I felt like a pregnant Galadriel from Lord of the Rings!), so I didn't hesitate to book in our newborn shoot. Venturing to Bristol with a 6 day old baby after a sleepless night was a pretty daunting propect, but Kate made the whole experience a really enjoyable one. Our baby girl was relaxed and happy in Kate's capable (and very gentle) hands, sleeping most the way through thanks partly to the toasty room and the amazing 'sushing' white noise machine! Kate carefully arranged her into the cutest positions, drawing from her huge supply of props to create the most adorable photos. When it came to the family shots, her friendly direction and creative eye meant we ended up with pictures that perfectly capture the pride and love we felt as a new family. The end results were some beautiful photos, and we ended up buying all the ones she sent us to choose from! All-in-all, I couldn't recommend Kate enough and can't wait for our 'older baby' session next year! Alice Rogerson
