t. p.We hired Matt to shoot our wedding at Coombe Lodge recently and he was fantastic. He was super friendly and approachable and we really enjoyed having him at our wedding.
The one thing we really appreciated is that he placed a strong focus on candid rather than posed shots, meaning that he caught some really intimate and natural moments and none of the photos look staged or forced.
He was also really receptive to ideas from us which led to some lovely shots inside a greenhouse.
We were surprised to receive the amazing photos back after only one week, all 700 of them were beautifully presented and captured the mood and story of the day perfectly.
All this together with the fact that he is an all round lovely person means we would 100% recommend him for any wedding or event.
M.Matt was fantastic throughout the buildup to the wedding as well as on the day. He was passionate and it seemed like he was always trying to get a natural shot of something happening in the moment! He was fantastic with my now bride on the norming coming always checking in, just a great guy to have around with humour and positivity, thank you for capturing our perfect day!

E. M.So glad that we chose Matt to do our wedding photography, he listened to everything we wanted and was a perfect choice as we really did not want to spend all day posing! I said to my husband that I didn't think we would have many pictures of everyone during the wedding breakfast because I didn't notice Matt around but when we got the pictures back we had loads of natural shots of people eating and laughing together and lots of brilliant reaction shots to the speeches, he just did his thing in the background and got all these amazing shots...brilliant! Matt was very warm and friendly and our guests were able to chat to him really easily. I would definitely recommend Matt if anyone were to ask.
J. Q.Matt photographed our wedding in central Bristol in early September. We chose the middle of the city as we wanted the day to be set in the place we are so lucky to call home. Plus it’s a pretty good backdrop for some stunning city pics, featuring all our friends and family.
Matt captured the day and the setting perfectly. He took photos of those moments you just don’t get to see and, most importantly, his pictures demonstrate the true emotion of the day - the laughter, the tears, the love!
Matt was also super professional and clearly put his all into our day. He was up bright and early with the bridal team at the salon, travelling back to the hotel to photograph the groom and his best men; he stayed all day and way into the evening celebrations! Not forgetting the time he spent with us pre-wedding to chat through our ideas and plan for the day.
Matt is creative, fun, and clearly cares about his work and clients. He also takes some damn good photos.

A. N.Matt was the photographer for our wedding in 2015 and he was amazing! He captured our day so fantastically well and his warmth made everyone feel at ease when taking photos! I can't recommend him highly enough!
L. C.Matt was the photographer for my wedding on March 8th and he was fantastic. From when we first met Matt at the engagement shoot, he put in so much time and effort to get great photos of us, not forcing us into any awkward poses but really helping us relax. We loved everything Matt sent us and hired him for the big day in a flash!
Up bright and early Matt went to take pictures of the groom doing the park run with his friends- great to see the photos of all the cops (groomsmen) trying and failing to catch the robber (the groom). Then Matt joined me and the manic-ness of bridal preparations, un-obstructively taking part in the morning and I really appreciated the lovely photos of my friends and family, both laughing and looking serious when it came to hair prep.
Now you get a lot of compliments on your wedding day, but I didn't expect that the 2nd most common one that I received (after compliments on the dress) was about how fantastic the photographer was!! Even my mother was saying how great he was. I think this came down to the fact that Matt was so enthusiastic and friendly. He made the group photos fun and quick, and waxed lyrical about the light during the couple photo-shoot after the ceremony. Great guy to have around on a day that was so full of happiness.
Matt stuck around and took photos until well into the evening shenanigans, and then before leaving used a bit of tech to present us with 10 mini photos from the day to tide us over before we received the full package. A lovely little momento for us as we reminisced. And then the full stock of photos arrived. And we love them! Matt really captured the day and we have had such difficulty deciding which ones we want framed, they are so lovely.
Matt not only brings his skills and attention to detail to capture your big day but his evident joy in photography and in the wedding event itself!
