I had been following Matt's page for sometime as I really like his work so Matt was the first person I contacted once we had decided on a venue (Avon Gorge by Hotel du Vin, Bristol) and date as I knew I wanted him to be our photographer. Matt kept in regular contact with us and we met in advance of our wedding to go through his role but also understand what we were looking for. On the day, things were a little bit manic as half the wedding party were from Newcastle and could not get into their rooms (including my now, husband) so was dealing with some slightly stressed out people, however Matt remained really calm. After the ceremony was the group photos and again remained very patient while we tried to get the right people in the right place. Matt is both extremely talented and a lovely person so we would 100% recommend Matt if you are looking for a photographer for your wedding.

We couldn't have asked for a more wonderful photographer to have on our big day! Matt was a delight to have around, managing to be really discreet but at the same time extremely friendly and personable, which so many of our guests commented on. He made us feel very comfortable in front of the camera, and he produced beautiful photos and a stunning highlights video that we will look back on throughout our lives with the fondest and happiest memories. Matt did the photography for our wedding, and has produced the most wonderful set of photos for us. Matt did a wonderful job at capturing the fun of our wedding party, we couldn't be happier with our album. He understood the relaxed style we wanted, but also had a great feel for what would make a good photograph and we felt comfortable following his directions (bearing in mind we are usually the most awkward couple for anything resembling a posed photo!) My husband and I were lucky enough to have Matt capture our wedding day in November 2021. He was by far the best decision we made for the wedding! The standard of his work is incredible and he is such a lovely person to have with you on the day. He is calm, reassuring and funny. We decided to have a pre-wedding shoot which was great as we felt comfortable in front of the camera on our wedding day and got to understand Matt's style a little better. We booked him before Covid-19 hit, and throughout the process of postponing he was quick to reply to emails, flexible and very understanding. He made a difficult situation that much easier. We'll always be looking for excuses to have Matt photograph us - pregnancies, babies, family shoots, anniversary parties - and we'll be recommending him to all of our friends too. Matt did such a fantastic job of photographing our wedding! He really listened to what we wanted in the sense of having more natural photos, whilst also getting some of the more standard photos done quickly so weren't away from the rest of the wedding for long!
