We feel so lucky to have had Lewis capture our special day in September. From day one, we were so impressed with how friendly and professional Lewis was towards us. You made the decision of choosing a photographer VERY easy!! He is so passionate about his work and this is shown through his photography. We unfortunately had to delay our wedding due to Covid, and although it was a stressful situation, Lewis certainly put us at ease throughout. If we had any questions or wanted advice for the big day, Lewis was our go to person! The packages that Lewis has to offer really are amazing and such an investment!! Having an engagement shoot before the big day was so important as we found it quite unnatural at first. That didn’t last long though as Lewis made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera and we love how natural the photos turned out. On the big day, Lewis was awesome! Turned up on time, got straight into it and made sure you felt special on the day. Although it rained, we still managed to get our amazing outdoor photos! He also worked alongside our videographer and it was nice to see them putting ideas together and working as a team. Lewis is so friendly and really does know how to get the job done. I don’t think there are enough words in the English Language to explain how amazing Lewis is. As a couple we were really nervous about booking a wedding photographer due to us both not enjoying having our photos taken. As soon as we saw his photos on social media we knew he would be the perfect person for us. Lewis made us feel so at ease leading up to the day and on the day. I lost count of how many guests said how lovely he was and how he included everyone and just made everyone feel relaxed. And the photos speak for themselves, they are so natural and photos we will cherish forever! Lewis really captured guests personalities and the happiness of the entire day. The photos came through quickly and the presentation of the USB and album was outstanding. I can’t recommend Lewis enough, I would chose him 100 times over and will be advising anyone I know who is getting married to book him.

I can’t praise the job lewis did on our wedding day enough! The pictures really capture the day and lewis got on very well with the family , bridesmaids and groomsmen! Right from the start, we knew we wanted a documentary/natural style photographer who was there from Bridal prep to beyond first dance and after browsing Lewis' photo's (and chatting to him in a wedding fayre), we knew he was our guy. The pre-shoot was the perfect opportunity to get to know him and to get to know his style - even if our dog, Finn decided to start hacking away at a dead bird during an intimate shot! We also had some fantastic photos out of it. We had our day in Hensol Castle and Lewis' familiarity with the venue meant he knew all the great places to have stunning photos. Other than the portrait photos, we barely saw Lewis - which is exactly what we wanted (no offence Lewis)! Our photos have come out perfectly, despite having a wedding with Covid restrictions and the supposedly thundery weather that was due to happen (and didn't!!). On the day and beyond, we had many friends and family coming up to us and complimenting Lewis helping us realise that we most certainly chose the right photographer to shoot our special day - not that we had any doubts. Lewis is a friendly, good value, knowledgeable & professional photographer. We could not have asked for anything more from him before, on the day or after (unless you could have eradicated Covid!!) - THANK YOU SO MUCH.

Lewis is a fantastic photographer. He made us feel at ease and comfortable during our pre-session shoot and at our Wedding, and managed to get wonderful photos of us even though we can both be quite awkward in front of a camera. We received our sneak peaks so quickly and we’re so happy with them. He had a big presence on our wedding day (but not imposing at all) and helped with little bits throughout the day. At one point he had the groom and groomsmen lined up so he could do their ties! By the end of the day he felt more like a guest and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anybody.

We chose Lewis to shoot our wedding photographs as from the instant we met him we felt at ease in his company. He has a great way of making you feel comfortable and comes up with jokes when you least expect it to get a great smile and capture your laughter. From the time we met Lewis right through to completion it was an easy process. On the day of our wedding we hardly knew Lewis was there. He captured some fantastic photographs and the images we received are so clear with the colours so vivid they're great. We chose to have the wooden box for our wedding photographs with all photos on a flash drive. Lewis chose ten of his favourite photos from our wedding day for the box and we then had the choice to print out whatever photographs we wanted. The wooden display box looks great on our shelving unit. I can’t give a higher recommendation for a wedding photographer than Lewis Fackrell - he is highly talented, very professional, extremely efficient and absolutely lovely! From the first enquiry I made, to receiving the last of our material, he has been a pleasure to “work” with. I cannot put into words just how amazing Lewis was on our wedding day. To spend the day completely stress free with zero pressure from the photographer and achieve such amazing photos at the end of it was an absolute dream! We met with Lewis after our initial enquiry, and after several weeks of us rearranging due to an emergency operation. Lewis was so patient and an absolute star, and did everything he could to make things easier for us whilst I recovered. The engagement shoot was a fantastic opportunity to get to know Lewis. His relaxed and friendly approach put us at ease immediately, and his photos captured our personalities perfectly. He is a totally awesome and down to earth guy, and we ended the shoot feeling like we had known Lewis for years! Lewis was absolutely brilliant on our big day. He arrived early and mingled with our families and friends (who all absolutely loved him!), and spent some time getting to know the venue before the craziness began. Lewis always seemed to be there to capture every special moment, whilst blending into the background like an old friend. He was relaxed yet always professional, friendly, funny and a joy to be around. We couldn't have asked for a nicer guy to follow us around all day :-) We couldn't be happier with the photos - they are absolutely beautiful - and we cannot give Lewis enough praise. He is such a talented guy and is clearly very proud of his work, and rightly so! In addition to our photo gallery we received a selection of prints, beautifully presented in a rustic wooden box, together with a handwritten card and some delicious chocolates, which was a lovely personal touch. I have no idea how I can express how much we appreciate what Lewis was able to do for our wedding day! This may get mushy and emotional so apologies now! Myself and my husband (eek still sounds weird) are the least photogenic couple ever but somehow Lewis transformed us and by the end of the wedding we were so relaxed and you can see it in the images! The pre shoot was perfect for getting to know each other and processing what we would need to do on the day and started the process of being relaxed in front of the camera. It was the start of the excitement for the big day! By the time the big day came it felt as though Lewis was just one of the guests which put all of our other guests at ease. (We’re an awkward bunch but you’d never guess). Lewis spent so much time blending in and captured all of our guests enjoying the day. It was perfect for us because he isn’t intrusive or “in your face” so the day was documented naturally and looking back reminded us of all the little details that we might have otherwise forgotten! Looking back now two months later, there isn’t a single thing I would I change. And the images remind us of the whole day without the awkward poses and painted smiles! We first met Lewis in July 2018 when we were searching for a photographer for our wedding in September 2019. We particularly liked Lewis because of the fact that his portfolio showed that he was great at documenting the day in a much more informal way, which was exactly what we were looking for as neither myself nor my husband are keen on posing for photos! I’m not sure where to start with our review of Lewis, other than… he’s amazing! We got married on 27th July 2017 at Thoresby Courtyard and Riding Hall in Nottingham. When we got engaged in September 2016 I knew that finding a photographer would be a difficult task. I love pictures, as they capture a moment forever. I am by no means a budding photographer or claim to be, I just love to take pictures to remember people and events by. One of the first things I did was start to search for a photographer that fitted the style I wanted - clean, bright, happy pictures. I felt like I had looked at a million photographers with no-one sticking out, when one of Lewis’ pictures popped up as a sponsored link on Facebook. It caught my eye and I got in touch. Lewis was informative and helpful from the start, and this continued during the whole process. After a skype talk myself and my now husband both came off and knew that Lewis was definitely the photographer we wanted! And more importantly, we knew we could trust him to deliver beautiful pictures of our big day. The ‘in vogue’ style at the moment seems to be ‘unobtrusive, unposed’ pictures, which Lewis certainly does and does extremely well. However, I also knew that I wanted lovely posed family photos as this would be a rare occasion that all our family and friendship groups were together. Some photographers I found stated that they would not do posed photographs or when I viewed their pictures, the posed photographs were poor quality. When I viewed Lewis’ pictures I was thrilled to see that not only are the pictures he takes throughout the day stunning, but the ‘posed’ pictures are gorgeous too! He also takes the time to get pictures of couples/families together without the bride and groom throughout the day. If you want any specific pictures just make sure Lewis has a list in advance and he will certainly try his absolute hardest to get them for you. Both our engagement shoot and wedding galleries were received within the timescale Lewis stated. There are hundreds of gorgeous pictures and even 6 months later it is still too difficult to narrow down which ones to print to put up around our house! Lewis is quite possibly the hardest working photographer ever. My guests and venue all commented on how lovely and accommodating he was on the wedding day, and many have asked for his details to pass on to family and friends getting married or for their own weddings… which I think says A LOT! Lewis, thank you for providing memories that we will cherish forever. Mr and Mrs Broom Some tips: 1. Definitely have an engagement shoot. It can feel a little strange to just chat whilst someone takes your picture (rather than posing) so having the engagement shoot means you get used to this before your big day. 2. To help any group pictures go smoothly appoint someone in your bridal party/family who is assertive (i.e. bossy) to round everyone up (luckily for me my maid of honour is a primary school teacher so was perfect at this!). 3. Have the whole group picture before the free alcohol is flowing! We had two, one at the start of the drinks reception and one after the wedding breakfast… let’s just say you can tell everyone’s had a drink in the second picture! Haha 4. Always ask to see full wedding galleries from photographers so you can an idea of the type of pictures you will get, not just ‘the best bits.’ Lewis’ will not disappoint! 5. Just book Lewis before someone else does!

We got all the shots we wanted and more with no fuss and he captured the day perfectly- all the ‘in the moment’ things you don’t realise are happening until you look back were great. Lewis was simply AMAZING! From the beginning through to the end he offered endless support,advice and guidance. Our pre-photo shoot was a great way to get to know Lewis and feel very comfortable around him. His experience, professionalism and the evidence of the beautiful photos he captured at the pre-photo shoot, made us feel very confident that we will be in safe hands on our wedding day. Lewis Fackrell is an incredible photographer. From the moment we booked him he was responsive and we quickly established a fantastic rapport. Trusting Lewis' ability and letting him photograph us at one of his local spots for our pre-shoot was a really enjoyable experience that allowed us to get used to the camera and figure out how best to make us look natural, which was nerve-wracking at first but with Lewis in charge became a fun day in the woods! The stellar service continued with excellent communication leading up to the big day and loads of guidance with shot lists and tips for the day.
