We've been for a family photo shoot tonight including 3 young children aged 4 and 2 at 2. Ben was absolutely brilliant with the kids, building trust with them to get them laughing and smiling. One of the children was particularly camera shy and I can honestly say he did his best to get him comfortable in front of the camera. We ended up with a little improvisation! Ben was friendly throughout and explained about what he wanted everyone to to so we all felt at ease. I'm very much looking forward to seeing the edited images. I would definitely recommend Ben and I will certainly book with him again in the future.

We had a shoot with Ben in late March and were thoroughly wowed with the whole process. We have kids aged 5 and 3 and a baby aged 3 months so it was important for us that the children felt comfortable and happy. When we arrived Ben was quick to put the children at ease and this can be seen in the photographs. The atmosphere throughout the shoot was relaxed and friendly and we left very much looking forward to seeing the results. When we did see our photographs we were really thrilled and could not wait to share them with family and friends. Very importantly to us too, we were able to purchase our photographs on disc at a reasonable price. We would very much like to return here in future and would strongly recommend Ben if you are looking for a friendly relaxed atmosphere and truly stunning family photos! The Tomlinson family

We've used Ben on three occasions over the past couple of years and no doubt will be using him again. He puts you at ease very quickly and is a natural at getting the kids to join in and enjoy the photo experience. He has some great ideas and is also up for trying out new things like the time I brought in cake making equipment so he could capture a photo of the kids cooking! We had my 9yr old daughter's birthday party with Ben. A full 2 hours of music, snacks, clothes changes oh and also photos taken along the way. My daughter and her friends absolutely loved it. Again Ben handled all the extremely excited girl's with such ease and the photos my daughter and her guests have to remind them of the most amazing day are stunning. I've been to other photo studios in the past but once we discovered Ben we dont think twice about using him or recommending him. Great service, great price you won't be disappointed. We chose Ben to photograph our wedding in June, after meeting a few photographers we decided that we just really liked Ben and his friendly relaxed approach, which we felt we needed to get any sort of reasonable smile out of us both! We did a pre-wedding shoot and for both of us it felt so natural to have our picture taken by Ben, who honestly managed to get the best pictures of us we've ever had that day. The BIG day came round and Ben was brilliant, you could see how hard he was working all day in changing conditions, and we just felt so comfortable with him there snapping away. It really made a difference that we had someone that put us at ease on the day. Turn around on the photos was great if anything they were ready before we were, and the results are fantastic! Some brilliant creative shots with great use of light. We also love all the pictures of all our guests, his style of capturing really natural moments really captures the feeling of the day. We absolutely love love love Ben West Photography. We have now had 2.5 photo shoots and I can promise you, you will not regret it. For our first shoot I thought our daughter would be nervous and not get involved in the shoot but Ben coaxed her out of her shell and then there was no stopping her. She is now for her sixth birthday wanting a photoshoot party for her birthday (or a tablet she has not decided, Mummy is saving the pennies!) Anyway, back to the review... The pictures are absolutely stunning and rather than buy the obligatory raft of relatives a token gift at Christmas we use the money we would have spent to pay for a photoshoot and the family all get a stunning picture, which to be honest, they much prefer to yet another set of biscuits or box of stuff that smells dodgy. Ben made a family photo shoot a fantastic experience. He made everyone feel relaxed which resulted in lovely, natural photos. The kids loved it as Ben made it really fun for all ages. Highly recommended!
