Our wedding day on 10/10/2020 just wouldn’t have been the same without Gary! He fully embraced the uniqueness of our wedding with all the restrictions in place at the time, going above and beyond to ensure we got the most beautiful photos and memories of our wedding that we will cherish forever. From dealing with a house full of girls in the morning, helping groomsmen with buttonholes before the ceremony and rolling with our crazy ways of dragging him deep into the woods during what can only be described as a monsoon to capture more photos, this man will stop at nothing to get the perfect shot of your special day! I first saw Gary's photos on Instagram and I was amazed by the high quality and unique perspective. We booked Gary back in 2018 for our 2021 wedding and I'm SO SO glad we did! Gary is one of the genuinely loveliest, friendliest and most professional guys I've ever met. He was very responsive to all my emails and incredibly accommodating to our changing date due to covid restrictions. We met up with Gary in his studio and instantly hit it off. As neither of us had experience in front of a camera, we decided last minute to do a "pre-wedding" photoshoot in Culross, Fife and it was one of the best decisions we made. What a fun day!! Gary put us right at ease from the get go and it meant that we knew all the poses on the big day - it is definitely worthwhile having a wee practice and we have beautiful photos to cherish forever! He was more than a photographer - he helped all the guys with their buttonholes, kept us both calm and relaxed in the morning, and mingled with our guests (banter all round!!). Well what can I say! Gary had done my hairdressers wedding and when we seen her album, we knew we wanted Gary to do our photography at our wedding. Gary was brilliant from the moment we contacted him, he answered any questions we had. Gary is so down to earth and made us feel at ease from the start. Neither myself or my husband really like photos been taken or rarely like any photos of ourselves but wow Gary made us feel so at ease and made getting our photos done a pleasure. He made it very difficult for us to choose the photos for our album lol! We have so many photos that we actually love!Gary was so professional from start to finish but also had a good laugh with us all too. Nothing is too much effort for him, he was on hand to help in anyway he could and was fantastic with my mum who needs help at times, he was only to happy to help anyone needing help with anything. How to even begin to summarise our experience with Gary? From the moment you step onto his social media platforms his photos speak for themselves; there's something more than just luck, good lighting and a man with a camera when it comes to Gary - it's a touch of pure magic. Right at the beginning from our consultation we were instantly impressed with Gary's passion and dedication to his work. He instantly put us at ease and set the tone for the impending big day. On our wedding morning Gary did more than take photos; he was a voice of reassurance, a pair of helping hands, a well timed laugh, and even the only one who was able to cheer up a grumpy flower girl who had to wake up too early that day! At our reception Gary literally was the glue that held us all together. Our outdoor newlywed shoot felt like something out of a dream. With such a shrewd eye for detail, I just knew that Gary had us in good hands. Even knowing that I can personally be a bit of a perfectionist and stickler for detail, I had trust in Gary from the word go; he is absolutely phenomenal and when he's told you he's captured a worldie, he really means it. We had Gary photograph our wedding and we can honestly say there is no one who could capture your special day better! Gary is such a genuinely funny and nice guy, nothing is too much trouble and he kept our guests laughing all day! His work is outstanding and the lengths he goes to in order to get the perfect shot is amazing! We done an engagement shoot with Gary before our day which I would recommend to anyone as it made us feel so relaxed during the actual wedding, plus we got some amazing photos to post pre-wedding! Gary is so professional but also just made us feel so much at ease during the photoshoots. We honestly had so much fun during both our shoots and it was all down to how Gary was with us. On the day Emma was stressing in the morning about the rain and getting ready, Gary was so helpful at keeping her calm and always made sure her dress was sitting perfect! After we had met with Gary and saw his work we booked him for our wedding in 2021, we then had to postpone to 2022, luckily Gary was available for our new date as myself and Emma both agreed we had to have Gary photograph our wedding and we’re glad we did as it would not have been the same without him! Gary is a professorial at his trade and a true artist with the camera. My now wife and I hired him as two tourists eloping in Edinburgh, Scotland. Upon meeting Gary, he made us feel perfectly comfortable and quickly became a friend to us. We enjoyed our time with him very much and any one should count themselves lucky to hire him as their photographer. He took the time to "take a walk" with us throughout Edinburgh's city and many monuments to get the best photos we could. Where do I begin? Gary has been absolutely amazing from the first email about availability for our wedding day. Throughout the whole process Gary has been fantastic, very easy to get on with and such a laugh. He gave us advice and helped us think about what we would want on our wedding day, all the while reassuring us he would capture everything, and he did! What an amazing photographer. just brilliant Once we knew we were getting married Gary was one of the 1st things we made sure to book (after the venue) and even though it was 2 years ago he already had so many bookings in and no wonder. As the time went on seeing all of the pictures Gary posted on his page got us super excited about what ours would look like. A few weeks before the wedding we had a pre-wedding shoot which was amazing as we got to understand the types of pictures/poses we might expect on the day and I think that really helped for the big day On the day Gary was just awesome. From the start of the day getting ready at both houses to the wedding itself and then after Gary put us at ease and worked so well with our family and friends. He is just so friendly and approachable and extremely hard working. We got married in November and were lucky to have a really crisp but bright day and Gary made the most of that in us being able to get lots of pictures outside. As it was Autumn sunset was earlier and Gary was able to capture the most stunning pictures with the sunset behind us. Just breathtaking After the wedding it was so good to see a few snapshots of the types of pictures to come on Gary's page and from those we just couldn't wait to see all of them. When we did see theme we were overwhelmed by the number of amazing pictures he took. It actually took us many attempts to whitle it down. When we did we ended up adding a good number of extra pages in our album as there were just so many to choose from. Picking the album too is a great experience with the cover style/material etc and exciting as you know its bespoke to you. When we got the album it was just the most amazing experience to see our day captured in just the most amazing way. I have friends at the wedding who will absolutely use Gary if they get married and have shared his page amongst others. One thing i think worthy of a special mention is that Gary does a number of weddings at the venue that I got married in. Sometimes when you see a photographer going to the same place often the pictures can be the same but with different people. With Gary however, although it is the same place the pictures are never the same and he has such a knack and amazing photographers eye to use the weather, location, and people to make unique and amazing pictures that are truly special to the couple. Writing this review is making me wish we could do go through the process all again :)

Meet Gary at our wedding venue at an open day that was held there and within 5 minutes of speaking to both myself and my partner we had him booked for our wedding for next year! He helped us both relax and be ourselves on our day and for that Gary you deserve a massive pat on the back. We recieved our images so quickly after the wedding and every single one was bloody perfect, cannot believe we need to pick 60 out of so many. Another thing is i have never seen such a large collection from a photographer for a wedding there are loads!!!! Gary you are professional, talented, punctual, funny and calming. All the things we wanted for our wedding. We cannot thank you enough and already friends getting married have booked with you and so they should.
