Karen was a wonderful wedding photographer and we are really happy with our wedding photos. We met Karen before our big day to discuss what kind of shots we were looking for and various places we could take photos. On the day Karen was very professional and put us and our guests at ease. She was very accommodating and great to work with. We couldn't have asked for anything more. She went above and beyond with our photos and even got one of them edited professionally so we could get a specific shot. We had a very small wedding and it was really great for us that Karen could offer a service for a couple of hours. Something that is quite hard to find! I would highly recommend Karen as a wedding photographer. She really helped capture our special day.

I came to Karen for a wedding alhum when my original wedding photographer couldn't create an album for me. And Karen has been phenomenonal! She went out of her ways to help me design my album exactly how I wanted. She spent time with me on the call, making sure alhum design is not clipping important details from the photos. Karen genuinely cares about the quality of the final product. Oh, and we were going on holidays so the delivery deadline was tight. She navigated that challenge brilliantly as well! We had almost lost hope finding our perfect Wedding Photographer until I stumbled upon Karen by chance, looked at her portfolio online and new this was the lady for the job! By chance, we were in Manchester (pre-Glasgow move) a couple of weeks later and organised a meeting so we could meet Karen in person... needless to say, we left our meeting with Karen knowing that we just had to book her and did that evening (while we were in Manchester getting ready to go out!) This lady knows her stuff... She is absolutely BRILLIANT to work with and she's a Photograph Ninja! On the run up the our Wedding, we met a couple of times (one being the Couples Shoot) but namely due to distance and for general ease for all, we communicated mainly by email and by Zoom meetings. Nothing was too much for Karen and we soon had our Wedding Day planned out for Photographs and the countdown to our Wedding flew by. On the Day, we barely say Karen... she just melts away into the background and does what she is amazing at, catching personal and natural moments in time in the form of a Photo. Karen's claim really is true - she has all the group pictures done in under 30 mins! We received our memory stick of pictures shortly after the Wedding (there were hundreds! Karen really had been a true Ninja!) and our album a little while after once we had agreed on the format etc! Nothing was too much hassle and Karen was full of fabulous suggestions which made the entire process afterwards seamless - totally stress free! Seriously Karen is absolutely amazing at what she does, has a brilliant client system which makes booking appointments and paying bills easy and her aftercare is fantastic. Plus if you couple all that with the fact Karen is also a lovely lady who is incredibly friendly and makes even the most camera shy people (like Hubby and I) relax in front of the camera, you have the combination for a perfect Wedding Photographer!! If you book Karen, you seriously WILL NOT regret it! Thank-you so much Karen for everything you have done, you have been amazing from day one!!!

We could not have chosen a better photographer for our wedding if we had tried. Karen impressed us on our very first meeting were she shown us excellent examples of her previous work which not only showed how talented she is but also the quality of wedding albums that she has to offer. On the first meeting Karen spoke about our wedding venue passionately and it was very obvious how well she knew the venue which gave us a great insight into what kind of photos we could get. Karen listened to us and worked out quite quickly we aren’t into traditional weddings and was more than happy to go along with what we wanted. On the wedding day itself Karen put in a very long shift and only left once we were happy we had gotten all the photos that we wanted. Karen’s organisational skills were fantastic which made being photographed very easy for us and our guests. We could not be more happy with the final wedding albums thatwe have received, Karen captured the whole day perfectly. Everyone who has seen our photos have commented on how talented Karen is. Throughout the whole process Karen was extremely professional and very easy to communicate with, we cannot thank her enough.

Karen is a very talented lady and an absolute pleasure to work with. Prior to our wedding day she visited the venues to check out the lighting and discuss with us the style of photos we would like. She was very professional, flexible and friendly and super organised. Karen captured some beautiful shots of our special day including a lovely one outside the town hall- she even stopped traffic and stood in the middle of the road in order to capture what turned out to be an epic photo. After the wedding Karen was very prompt in getting the photos to us. We received an online link to the collection of amazing photos she had taken and were able to download them. We talked to Karen online to discuss the layout of our photo album and colour schemes etc so it all felt very personal and tailor made to exactly what we wanted. Karen used a printing company in Italy to print out the finished product and it was quick to arrive. The quality of the album/printing is top notch. We have had so many complements from family and friends who have seen it. To summarise- I would highly recommend Karen- from start to finish she was an absolute delight to work with and her work is amazing! You won't regret choosing Karen as your photographer :)

Karen was wonderful; she's creative, passionate and full of ideas and inspirations. We were really impressed by the lengths she was prepared to go to; the engagement shoot was great and it gave us the chance to get to know each other. We were both nervous about having our photos taken, but Karen made us feel much more comfortable and at ease and offered very helpful tips to bring out our best in front of the camera! The photographs of the day itself were stunning, her devotion and attention to detail was superb and she managed fabulous documentary shots without ever being obtrusive. Shepherding loads of people into position in front of an ice-cream van was not an easy task but she managed it brilliantly and our family and friends adore the results. We'd recommend her to anyone - in fact my Mum is getting married shortly and Karen is the first and only person she wanted!!

I came across Karen Julia via Facebook and I am so glad I did! Karen is just lovely, and makes you feel so comfortable when you are having many pictures taken! She is so thorough and met with us twice before the wedding - first time just to chat through how she works and show us pictures of what she has done for other couples, and the second time was at the venue so she could get a feel of where the photos were taken. Karen made it so easy - if there were any photos you specifically wanted we would just tell her, and then she came up with many more that we would not have thought of but have just turned out great! Karen Julia was the photographer at our wedding at The Hard Day’s Night hotel on the 30th January 2016. Prior to the wedding we Skyped/emailed back and forth about different photos that we might want and also to discuss the order of the day. To Skype and email suited us but Karen would have been more than happy to consult in person over a coffee. Due to her professional but also lovely manner we had 100% confidence in Karen and she more than delivered. What also helped was Karens understanding of what we wanted along with her knowledge of the venue (Karen is one of the Hard Day’s Night recommended photographers so she knows the venue inside out). We were lucky enough to have Karen for the whole day (roughly 10am to 10pm) so she was there to capture every moment from the getting ready in the morning to the dancing in the evening. Karen was amazing both at taking really relaxed photographs of people enjoying the day but also gathering guests together to take the more formal group photos. We have now got close to 500 beautiful photographs as a lasting memory of a wonderful day and we couldn’t be more appreciative to Karen. A lovely and extremely talented lady, we would recommend her to anyone looking for an exceptional wedding photographer.

Well if you are looking for a photographer that wont charge you the earth and will deliver absolutely stunning photos of your special occasion then Karen is the lady for you. Karen captured some beautiful shots from our wedding day and my family always talk about the pictures with such admiration. Karen oozes character and made an awful lot of friends at our wedding. She definitely has an eye for catching that special moment and gives 100% effort from the first point of contact to delivering the final prints. I had a small wedding back in 2008 in Blackpool which was only 6 weeks in the planning from start to finish. Karen was a natural choice from the start - she seemed to get me straight away. On the day I didn't even have to worry about whether the photos would be nailed - I just knew. Good job too as I was very pregnant and it took all my energy just to get through the day! The printed album was incredible. Done with care & design detail. With the addition of the supporting digital photos the day was captured perfectly. I cant thank Karen enough. I'd hire her again without hesitation..... Except I'm not planning on getting married again! Recommended totally!
