We couldn't be happier with choosing The Gibsons to photograph our wedding abroad in Scotland! As a bride from the US planning a wedding via email and virtual meetings, it's a bit scary to put all your faith in the vendors you choose without meeting in person first and hoping everything goes perfectly on your wedding day. Thanks to The Gibsons, it was perfect! Scott was very responsive via email when I reached out to inquire about their availability on our wedding day, and met with me on a video call to introduce himself, tell me about their business, and give me an idea of pricing for our photography needs. He helped me put a plan together leading up to the big day to ensure all the little details were captured. On the day of our wedding, he and Chantal arrived promptly on schedule and began taking photos of our prep right away. It was so nice chatting with Chantal during my prep time, while Scott assisted and photographed by husband getting ready separately. They were so professional during our ceremony and our photo session after, and happily chatting with us, that we didn't even know they were taking photos at certain points! They gave us clear direction for our posed photos so everything felt natural and didn't make us feel awkward at all. We had a bit of rain the day of, and they came prepared with umbrellas and navigated a golf buggy for us, and we got so many stunning photos in spite of the weather. We couldn't imagine choosing anyone else to take our wedding photos, and are so pleased with every single photo! If we're ever in Scotland again (which we hope we will be), we know who to call!

We asked Scott and Chantal to capture our wedding day after having an engagement shoot with them. We cannot recommend them enough! In the lead up we had to change our venue a couple of times due to the pandemic, they were helpful in recommending new venues and have been really good at communicating throughout. On our day they were both a lovely presence and kept us at ease and having fun the whole time. Scott even helped the boys with some of their kilt accessories and where they should place them. They were also great with guests and keeping them right for group shots. If you’re looking for a photographer, congratulations, you can stop looking and just send an enquiry to the Gibsons. You won’t regret it. We are so so happy we had them with us in our wedding. Leading up to the day they were helpful and quick to reply to any questions or ideas we had. And even though we never met until the actual wedding day, they just melted in so well and felt comfortable to be around. Neither me or my husband are used to, or comfortable in front of a camera, but they made it feel so natural and easy - which I think shows in the photos. Also, to see them working together as a couple is just so inspiring, especially on your wedding day. Couldn’t recommend them enough!! (Ps. Chantal and Scott have taken lots of photos for us over the years (engagement, wedding, family, tiny baby, fast moving toddler!) and we’re always so utterly impressed with their talent. They are just so good at what they do - capturing those rare moments forever: a little snapshot of someone’s personality, or a split second moment for the perfect shot - all while making you feel completely at ease and forgetting they’re actually taking photos! Especially on our wedding day, they allowed us to spend so much of the day just enjoying it rather than having to pose for photos, and yet we still had 1,000s of incredible photos to chose from. The perfect photographers! We spent a lot of time researching our photographers as your photos are such an important way to relive your wedding. From the very beginning Chantal and Scott were fabulous. The communication and planning was very well organised meaning that everything ran smoothly on the day and we didn't have to worry about missing any special shots that we wanted. We could just relax and enjoy our day and trust them to capture all of the special moments. Scott and Chantal were both so warm that, although we had not had the chance to meet them prior to the wedding, they were just like having extra guests! We highly recommend the Gibsons. They combined professionalism, easily guiding us through the day in order to get the best shots in a minimal amount of time, and friendliness, always smiling and in a great mood. We also discovered that because they are a couple they could spread out to capture the best photos, for example with Chantal following the bride before the wedding, while Scott was shadowing the groom. Could not possibly do any better for a photographer than the Gibsons. Honestly not a single complaint about the entire process, start to finish. After reaching out, my wife and I were invited round to their home to go over the details of what they do, look over albums of previous work, and generally get to know one another to see if we were a good fit. Loved them from the get go, knew exactly what they were doing without being even slightly pushy. The engagement shoot was fantastic for giving a preview of what the wedding day was going to be like and how to make sure we got the best pictures. On the wedding day, Scott and Chantal separated in the morning and one came to each of us for prep photos before heading to the venue. Ahead of time, they ask for a list of essential posed photos, group shots and such, but the majority of their time is spent behind the scenes going between the guests to get the real kind of shots that you wouldnt get otherwise. It was exactly what we wanted and we couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. Highest quality guaranteed. Please, book them if you can, you won't regret it and you'll make two great new friends into the bargain.

My husband and I were one of those couples that decided to plan a wedding in 6 months. During the intense and stressful search for the perfect wedding photographer, I came across The Gibsons Photography. On looking at their website and Instagram page, my breath was taken away at how absolutely beautiful their portfolio was - they were promptly put at the top of our list. From the get-go, you knew you were dealing with total professionals and we had every faith they’d capture our day perfectly. The schedule planner they sent us was incredibly helpful as it included a lot of info and tips for each part of the day. Correspondence throughout the wedding planning process was great and we got a lot of much needed advice. On the day itself, I can’t stress enough how awesome Chantal was while I was getting ready. My bridesmaids and I felt extremely comfortable with her – it was like we’d all known each other for ages. I have to say, having a husband and wife team doing your photography is absolutely wonderful as you know that everything you want will be covered and captured. We’re just so truly pleased with our wedding album and so grateful for having our special memories captured by such a lovely couple!
