We’re so glad we chose Colin as our wedding photographer! We planned a big but relaxed wedding and while we had some group photos in mind it was also important to us that we capture spontaneous moments. Colin’s documentary style was a perfect fit. He was a great presence on the day, keeping everything very relaxed and fun. The photos are excellent – thank you!

Colin managed the capture the absolute joy and love which filled our wedding day. Not only photos of ourselves but of our guests enjoying the day too. He captured every special moment from start to finish. We wasn't interested in standing for posed photographs for hours on end, we wanted someone who could capture the natural and beautiful moments as it happened. Colin did all that and more! The magic of Colin is that he will capture the personal, unique atmosphere of your wedding day along with those special couple shots. When looking for a wedding photographer initially, we found it very difficult. Both of us wanted someone who would eternalise the unexpected, little moments that told the unique story of our community of friends and family, AND be able to produce couple portraits (and bridal portraits;)) that we would be able to look at with pride decades later. Although there were lots of wedding photographers out there, we usually found that most could do either one or the other. Then we came across Colin's website and we knew we had found it! Colin was incredibly easy to work with, friendly, flexible, attentive and yet almost like a fly on the wall. When we got our wedding pictures back, the first thing my mother said was: "wow, this feels like a time machine. I am transported right back to that golden day of happiness". That's what we wanted and that's what Colin gave us! So if you are about to get married and wand a time machine to live the day over and over again, just go ahead and hire him!

Colin was our first choice photographer when planning our wedding, because we wanted a natural style with no "posed" photos, which would capture the mood of the day. I'm thrilled to say that Colin delivered this, and more! We live in York, and he was flexible when it came to meeting up with us, including moving tables around at the venue to consider the best way to set up the room! He was friendly and approachable always, with quick email responses. We both love our wedding photos, which show the love and happiness we experienced so well. Of course I recommend Colin Nicholls! My wife and I are also wedding photographers and we both asked Colin to be our photographer for our wedding, so there was no pressure for Colin ;) However, we had no doubts in our mind he was the man to capture our day and boy did he deliver. I've delivered many wedding galleries over the years and to be the recipient was/is a great experience! Colin's photos for our day went above and beyond our expectations and are such a bloody brilliant record of our day! Colin has an amazing eye, documenting the day in completely different way to traditional wedding photography. He captures the unexpected but has no ego and happily captured some of our "requested" shots too (something we didn't want too many of as I prefer being behind the camera than in front of it!) In short, Colin is an expert at his craft, an awesome guy and an all-round, surprisingly tall, stealthy camera Ninja! He takes care and pride in his work and slotted into our day like an extremely welcome wedding guest. Cheers dude! Loved and still love our wedding photos :)
