I wasted hours of a recent Sunday trying to get my photo accepted by the passport office. My husband even got his "posh" camera out and altered the lighting,.......but always the same response..., my eyes looked closed. I visited this shop and Mark immediately assured me he could get the job done. He took great care and after a few tries we were happy with the result. 24 hours later I received confirmation from the Passport Office that they had accepted the photo. Such a great experience here. I went in to get my disposable camera photos developed and they were so helpful. I turned up at this store on 10th March 2022 in a mad rush trying to get a passport photo taken with literally 15 minutes left before needing to drive up to Durham passport office to attend an appointment for a fast track service passport. There was someone already being served ahead of me having some photographs printed but realising that I was under intense time pressure, Mark called me into the store and took my passport photo straight away. He even retouched the photo to remove the shine from my flustered sweaty face. A set of 4 passport photos cost £8, exactly the same as the photo booth at the passport office (a discovery I later made) making it excellent value - especially given the photo quality is far superior to any photo booth. My only regret is not having visited this shop sooner under less stressful circumstances so that I could have done my passport photograph justice as it wasn’t my best official photograph to date but easily could have been (had I not turned up looking so frazzled) especially with the retouching option! I’ll definitely have my future professional photographs taken here without hesitation!

The service at the shop is really good, very friendly and accommodating staff who clearly care a lot about their customers and the quality of their products. I 100% recommend The Photo Shop. Their film developing service is affordable, fast and high quality, and their WeTransfer option is a great, low-cost option. What's more, at a time when there are very few places out there offering 35mm film, they have a solid selection (Ilford B&W, ColourPlus, Gold, and disposable cameras last time I went in), again at a great price. I’m a hobbyist photographer and I wanted two A2 prints of my daughter that I’d taken. One of them, the backdrop was creased and really noticeable (rooky error I get that)! Really great for getting film developed, I've had a few done there now, such good value for the price. I normally get a film developed and scanned for £9 and they come out so much better than photos that I've had done at Kodak or Snappysnaps or more mainstream places. I think they really know what they're doing and all done in 1hr is really impressive. Not as good scanning quality as professional labs I've used but for the price and service it's worth it, also unless you are a professional you don't really need that level of detail

Amazing service at The Photo Shop. I needed a group of old photos reproducing for use in a performance - they were all different sizes and several decades old. They were resized and colour corrected and printed on lustre paper for me and ready within 24hrs! Excellent service. I needed about a dozen 10x8 prints from an SD card taken on my Sony Cybershot. Mark was very helpful in getting these edited to produce the best quality enlargements for exibition purposes. He was careful to make sure I was happy with each image before printing. I have been going to this shop for many years. They offer such a range of photographic skills and Headingley is very fortunate to have The Photo Shop. In addition to having photos developed, I have also taken old, damaged photographs where the new version is printed with no defects . Only this week, a torn and creased old b and w photograph has been copied and simultaneously restored by Mark, with not a trace of the damage on the original. Precious photographs can be enlarged without losing any quality, and photos of mine that friends and family love have been copied and have made great presents. I do not think that the standard of expertise shown by Mark and his staff could be achieved by any other than professionals who have such experience in this field. Photographs mean so much, especially of those who may no longer be with us, so entrust them to the experts at The Photo Shop!

Absolutely Brilliant Service and images too! We were looking for a place to enlarge our Wedding Anniversary photos. I had been to a few stores making enquiries before I came across 'The Photo Shop Leeds' in Headingley. Mark (shop owner) looked after me straight from my telephone enquiry! Very friendly and warm attitude. I cannot recommend this store enough. He even retouched some of my images to make them look better than the original image. He definitely knows his stuff, very professional! Normally at other stores, they just print the pictures you give them wether they look right or not and you have to pay for that!. That is not the case at this store, it felt more like a consultative approach as it was very clear that Mark was passionate about ensuring we were 100% happy with our images. The best thing about this is, it was all done in less than an hour. I am so glad I found this store, I will certainly return again!

I took a number of very old black and white photographs of my mum into The Photoshop for them to improve and do reprints. These were for my mum's funeral, so not only did they have to be right but the timescales were tight. The costs was extremely good value and the results were simply excellent. Some of the photographs I took in were in a very poor condition and needed a lot of work, now I have excellent prints of my mum as a young girl and she looks beautiful. Could not thank them enough.

Taking photo ID pictures for small children is a very difficult task, especially if you have to comply to strict regulations and the kids keep crying or refuse to open their eyes.
