My husband and I cannot thank Chris enough for perfectly capturing our wedding day. Chris is absolutely fantastic at what he does. He immediately put my husband and I at ease (we aren't natural at posing for photos) and made us laugh. The day after our wedding Chris sent us some "sneak peaks" which made us both emotional. I cried with happiness at Chris' beautiful work. Chris captured my husband and I beautifully. The funny and touching moments. The sparkler shot even ended up looking fantastic, despite my husband purchasing the wrong Sparklers that only last for 15 seconds! That is how much of a talented, genius photographer Chris is. Chris is a genius at what he does. My husband and I cannot wait to see the rest of the photos to choose for the albums he will create for us. Wedding photography doesn't come cheap but if you want quality, perfect photography capturing your special day with a great guy; it is worth every penny investing in Chris.

Chris is so much more than a photographer. From the moment we spoke on Zoom, it was clear that he has the insight and the desire to capture moments which truly reflect us as a couple. His regular and clear communication, and our pre-shoot photos really put us at ease knowing that we were going to get excellent photos on the big day. We booked Chris to be our wedding photographer at the Birmingham NEC wedding fair. It was the one thing we had left to book and I was moaning to my fiance about how all the stalls looked the same and that we would never be able to choose a photographer. Then I saw Chris's stand, and we both knew immediately that we needed to book Artisan for our big day. Since then, covid hit and we were unsure along with thousands of other couples whether or not we would be able to go ahead with our big day as planned. Chris was incredible the whole way through, keeping in touch via email and offering to video call if we needed to discuss anything. We managed to do our pre-shoot a good few months before our wedding and it further solidified that we had made the right choice by booking Chris. He was relaxed, down to earth and easy to talk to, with lots of great ideas. The wedding date rolled around and thankfully we were able to go ahead as planned. We zoomed with Chris a couple of weeks beforehand to go over final details, and on the morning he arrived bang on time to take photos before the ceremony. Just as before, Chris was relaxed but professional. He had great ideas and really managed to capture the atmosphere of our special day just how we wanted it. We got the perfect mix of documentary photography, portraits, and a couple of staged photos with our closest family. We got a sneak peak of some of our photos the day after our wedding, even though Chris had was shooting another wedding the following day, and they were absolutely stunning. Since our day, Chris has kept in touch throughout the process of sorting our photos for our gallery and our art books. Our gallery has been made available online for us to download and to share with family and friends which has been a godsend especially when some of our family are far away. When we submitted our photos for the art book a little late due to some technical difficulties, Chris went above and beyond to ensure that our books still arrived on time for us. They have arrived today and are absolutely beautiful. So if you're thinking about booking Artisan for your wedding, absolutely do it, you won't regret it.

When our original photographer was struck down by Covid-19, Chris at Artisan X came to our rescue (4 days before our wedding)! He didn't push us into any quick decisions, and urged us to really consider if he was right for us, so we didn't 'panic book'. Instead they wanted the ‘ story’ of their wedding day told which would show the special moments ‘behind the camera’ as well as the very close relationships both bride and groom have with their respective families . Honestly if you're going to do one thing for your wedding make sure you book Chris! From start to finish the experience has been amazing. We were always kept up to date with everything going on and the admin side of things was flawless. Chris was absolutley hilarious and kept my partner and I so calm and relaxed during our wedding day. Where to start with Chris… Chris is a happy, high energy and enthusiastic person who you instantly love being around which helps a lot when you choose to have them as your photographer. Chris not only produces the most incredible photography, he also gets to know you both and talks to you about your families, so he gets a better understanding of who people are so then on the day he can chat to people and get the very best out of the day for the photos. Chris has been amazing during COVID and was very empathetic and understanding when we decided to postpone not only once but twice, Chris was the only supplier we wouldn’t budge on not having on our day as we had fallen completely in love with his unique photography and we weren’t disappointed. We had a family photo shoot gifted to us, we wasn’t sure what to expect when we booked the 1 hour session with Artisan X Wedding Photography, particularly in the current climate! But Chris turned up to our house ready and raring to go! As the weather was nice, we decided to do the photo shoot in our garden, where Chris captured some really beautiful natural images. Chris worked hard to help myself and my partner “relax” into the shoot the best he could in the time frame given. One hour doesn’t seem long, but it’s certainly long enough to keep things running smoothly and natural without it becoming too staged and awkward! Chris did a great job, was punctual, professional and could tell that he just “loves his job” as he took his time and was patient when taking photos with a 4 week old baby in the mix! A family photo shoot with Chris at Swithland Woods produced the most amazing shots. Our two children, aged 5 and 8, really enjoyed exploring the woods, climbing trees, crossing streams and messing about whilst Chris took natural photos of them enjoying themselves. The photos show the kids looking happy and laughing, as they were having fun, rather than being asked to pose in a studio for formal photos with forced smiles!. The backdrop of the woods is beautiful and enhances the photos taken. We have lots of lovely photos to choose from...just what we wanted and hoped for from the shoot with Chris. Chris was patient and relaxed and I can't recommend the outdoor photo shoot enough, perfect if you have children that like exploring rather than standing still for photos. Chris was our wedding photographer back in 2014. We fell in love with his photography at a wedding show. Not your conventional wedding photographer but that’s what we loved. He has a wonderful ability of capturing all those natural moments. Whilst other photographers may be cheaper you honestly get what you pay for. Booking him was the best decision we could have made. The photos are amazing and the album he produced is beautiful and top quality. He is also a genuinely lovey guy. He’s done two more family weddings since and two shoots of us as a family. Book him. Having been blown away by Chris' portfolio on display at the NEC wedding show, we didn't hesitate to book for our NYC wedding in June '19. Chris' enthusiasm for his work was quickly evident, and it truly felt like he was as excited for the big day as we were! We met multiple times before we left the UK to discuss plans for the day, so by the time we met again the day before our wedding, for our pre-wedding day shoot, we were already at ease. It was like meeting with a friend, but this time we were centre stage in a very busy Times Square. So much fun! Chris and Kimmy were our wedding photographers back in 2017, where they kindly agreed to come all the way from Leicester to Cornwall to shoot our wedding! We had previously met up for an engagement shoot which was a great excuse for a wander around a park and a giggle whilst Chris snapped away. The engagement shoot is highly recommended as I can imagine the shots from our wedding would have felt more wooden without meeting first and getting to know Chris. You couldnt have really asked for worse weather on the big day, but the guys were so professional. Any married couple knows that on your wedding day, you spend more time with your photographer than maybe anyone else on the day and so when planning our wedding, my husband and I knew we needed to find someone we were comfortable with and that we got a good energy from. So when I was a bridesmaid at my friends wedding and we met Chris, we instantly knew he was our guy. We got married in December last year and we have just got round to doing our wedding album and ordering photos for family and friends. Our photos are stunning and our story book album is amazing, Chris really captured the laid back feel of our day. All of our guests commented what an amazing and friendly photographer Chris was, and that they barely noticed when he was taking photos - which is just what we wanted as we are not big fans of 'posed' photos, we wanted a photographer who captured us and our guests 'in the moment' and Chris did just that for us. The booking process was so simple and straightforward. Unlike some photographers, Chris provides you with all your photos to download. When it came to choosing photos for the album, it was so easy, we just had to select our favourites from the online gallery and Chris would then 'tell the story of your day'. Chris was our wedding photographer 3 years ago and I still love looking at every single photo! He captured every moment perfectly and has made a perfect documentary of the day for us! Seeing that there is a 1* review really upsets me and reading the comment I do not believe that this reflects upon the experience with Chris at all! I think the fact there is only one speaks volumes. Chirs arrived when agreed and did not get in the way. He was so helpful and made the day run smoothly, often helping the venue staff with timings etc. He was so professional with the way he spoke to all guests throughout the day that several of our friends commented on how lovely Chris was. A couple of friends went on from our wedding to book Chris for theirs after they were so impressed with him on the day. The leather bound album is so tactile, well made and it's clear the thought and effort that he placed into the album. The images flow well into each other and tell a true story of the day. He sent us so many photos for the album but also suggested which ones he thought would be best, he was really supportive with the decision. Chris was also able and happy to send the edited photographs directly to us so that we could have them printed and now have several placed upon on wall. Chris' work speaks volumes about his talent and skill and I highly recommend to all.

After looking at photos from other weddings, we knew immediately that Chris’ vision and amazing photos were the perfect match for what we wanted for our wedding. And after meeting him, he completely put us both at ease, and we enjoyed working with him so much. We had a great laugh! The teaser photos were with us on the morning after the wedding, so we could enjoy looking at those with out post wedding hangovers!!! From the moment we laid eyes on his work at the NEC wedding show- our search was over. Chris is a fab bloke. He certainly knows what he’s doing behind a camera. Pre wedding, he made sure he knew what we wanted and what we were about as a family. He took the time to learn the kids names etc. It’s the little things that make a difference. We got married on the 31st July and as soon as he arrived - he again showed he was absolutely the right choice. I can’t pose for photos and yet Chris started snapping away. The shots he got are more than we could have hoped for. He even kept a nervous groom calm. Chris was complimented by all of our guests for both his manner and professionalism and he almost fades into the background - to capture the unexpected shots. The bits you miss. Chris will ensure he takes the photos you want without knowing you want them. The important shots but the incidentals too. No boring wedding photography while he’s around.
