I took Ion's beginners' photography course. It was great! A small group with lots of opportunity to get feedback and encouragement. Ion is very passionate about photography and not gimmicky equipment. I felt I learned a lot in two days and Ion offers ongoing encouragement and tutoring through his Facebook group after the course is complete. I'll be back. Thanks Ion!

A couple of days ago I had the absolute pleasure of working with Ion on a quite lengthy photography session. I can't even begin to explain how detailed, efficient and artistic he was, from making sure every little thing was in the right place to prepping the set. As a filmmaker, I'm used to being behind the camera, but he made everything seem easy, fun and professional...and the work he's created was absolutely outstanding!

I did not know anything about photography and in just 2 days Ion managed to explain the basics and give us all the tool to make very good photograph. He managed to explains in a very clear way the importance of aperture, ISO, shutter speed but also, and I thought that was the most important, how to THINK about the picture you're going to take. So in the end of the 2 days, we could adjust parameters all by ourselves depending on what we wanted to do or what we did not like in our previous photograph but we could also think about what to put on our picture, where, why. I was really impressed by this because it's not often that artists can show you how to get "creative by yourself". Ion also was able to understand very quickly which type of photography each student would be best at and give personalized advice to everyone. Very highly recommended school.
