We were all very excited about dinning at Uyen Luu's supper club. A relative had been several times and couldn't stop raving about it. So, it was booked and we all gathered there on Friday 13th September.
It was a full room, great atmosphere. We eagerly awaiting the food as the aromas from the open kitchen were mouth watering.
We were promised 7 delicious courses of Vietnamese food all ellaborately described in a text message to us two evenings before. Sadly, we only got 6. 4 of whick were cold prawns, a little chicken and and a bowl of soup with a little bit of floating beef.
All very underwhelming...including dessert which was a short glass of stacked - fruit, chocolate cake and mashed up avocado.
Whilst we all left hungry we still felt happy. Happy to have spent an evening with family and friends with good converation.
The icing on the cake and what has made me write this review was the text message we got from Uyen herself the next day apologising for a mix up with the dumplings. Apparently some of our prawn dumplings had been mixed up with pork dumplings this was paired with a photo of the uncooked dumplings she had found in her fridge.
I think its pretty serious when you have asked a group what their dietary requirements are and then screw up on that. Luckily non of us had allergies otherwise it would have turned out to be a very different evening.
Definitely will not be going again. Not worth the journey, money or time. There are loads of fabulous supper clubs in london worth exploring.
I have given it 3 stars because the ambience was nice but the Chef has definitely lost her touch!

Ordered for collection, to heat at home. Steamed wontons, pork and egg stew, beef pho, prawn summer rolls. Very very tasty - only 1 fraction of a point minus, as the summer rolls would have benefited from a dipping sauce. They were good, just a little dry. All of the meat was well cooked and seemed of high quality, as were the pho noodles - super fresh and springy. Yum!

We had Christmas party at this venue. Food and atmosphere was awesome! A bit hard to find though.
