Absolutely amazing! Shazia and Chris were fantastic, they are super friendly and constantly made us laugh during our photos! The pictures are everything we asked and hoped for. These two are the number one thing I'd recommend to people getting married, they are worth every penny and more!

IF I COULD GIVE MORE THAN 5 STARS I WOULD!!!!! When my wife and I got engaged several years ago, we had no idea where we wanted to get married or even when we planned on having the wedding...... The first thing that we knew we wanted was Chocolate Chip as our photographers, we had attended several friends weddings where Chocolate Chip were doing the photography. They stood out immediately for all the right reasons. Their professionalism is second to none, they make the process of post ceremony photography so quick and easy and effortless. They know how to handle a crowd and make it fun rather than that long winded process it has been when we've attended weddings where they werent doing the photography. We got married last June during covid where the rules and regulations were ever changing. Chocolate Chip were superb throughout and helped us with anything we needed. When our wedding venue was causing us stress about potential postponments, Chocolate Chip were there straight away allow us to reserve potential days we may need to move to. Nothing was problem I'd reccomend Chris and Shazia to anyone who is needing a photographer for their up coming wedding. Also there photos they produce are breathtaking. Get them booked up!

Our fantastic photographers were Chris and Shazia from Chocolate Chip Photography. They were more than photographers, from the minute we met them they were fantastic, they guided us through the whole process leading up to the big day. On the day, Chris spent most of the morning with Rob, not just to take unbelievable photos but he also helped all the lads get ready, showing them how super talented he is at tying ties – this was all the lads talked about the whole time... “look how good my tie is!” Rob must have said to me around 50 times during the day. Shazia was with me and my bridal party, capturing amazing memories and helping Poppy feel at ease as there was a lot going on that morning. During the ceremony, I barely noticed they were there, Shazia truly has ninja skills when it comes to camouflaging into her surroundings to capture amazing photos! The whole day was made perfect thanks to Chris and Shazia, all our guests spoke of how funny and friendly they were, they all felt comfortable having their pictures taken. Chris, Shazia and Jon our videographer took me and Rob to nearby woods to get some couple shots, it poured the whole time however, it was 100% worth it, we climbed up some muddy banks but the photos Chris and Shazia were able to get from it were just amazing. We would 100% recommend Chris and Shazia (and we have) to anyone planning their wedding. They’re more than photographers, they’re passionate, creative and overall a great laugh who will make your day as special as it deserves to be!

After starting the search for a wedding photographer we had Choc Chip recommended by both our venue as well as a friend of ours. We booked in for the initial consultation chat which was done in their studio, it was very relaxed and from the get go we were both very impressed with how casual and relaxed things were while still having the underlying sense of professionalism. We opted to book for two photographers and we couldn't have been happier about our decision to do this, the way Chris and Shazia work and bounce off each other shines through in the quality and creativity of the photos as well as helping to keep us relaxed and confident in front of the camera. Two days after the wedding itself we got our 2 minute wedding video which was just fantastic! We then received the photos just a few weeks later which given the wedding was at the height of a very very busy summer for them was a pleasant surprise as we'd been prepared for a much longer wait all things considered. The photos themselves were absolutely fantastic they really managed to capture the fun of the day for the guests and ourselves as well as getting some really stunning couples portraits! We've already recommended them to friends who after interacting with them on the day and seeing the results in the photos have been gutted that they had already sorted their own wedding photographers and wouldn't be able to book themselves.

WOW, where do I begin!? Chocolate Chip Photography shot our Wedding in July 2021, and I honestly cannot rate them more highly! Not only are the photos of our day just incredible, but they were so much more than just photographers! Chris and Shazia are so unbelievably lovely, creative, and helpful. We couldn't thank Chris enough for capturing our beautiful baby boy back in November! I was recommended Chocolate Chip by friends and other professional photographers and we were not disappointed! Chris was very friendly, professional and informative from the initial telephone discussion. Chris listened to exactly what kind of photos we wanted and although we were worried about our little one staying asleep and co-operating with the photos, we didn't need to worry at all! The experience that Chris had was evident throughout the photoshoot whilst he used warm blankets and other aids to help our little boy be comfortable, warm and stay asleep. The other amazing aspect of Chocolate Chip was that we wanted our family dog in the photos and this was not a problem for Chris either! He was great with our dog and also managed to capture some great photos with her and out little boy. The viewing experience was absolutely incredible, we were made to feel so special. The photos were absolutely amazing, they were actually so good that we couldn't choose which ones we loved more and we had to purchase the bundle! All of our friends and family have also commented on how talented Chris was and even shed some tears at how beautiful the photos are. They always say that time flies when you have a child but I could never of expected that it would of flew over so fast. Our little boy is changing every day and although we love to watch him grow we are so glad that we have our beautiful newborn photos to cherish! Me and my wife got married over the Easter period this year. Our original date was put back due to covid. We looked at many photographers during our initial planning phase but Chris and Shazia stood out by a mile. As soon as we started to rescheduled our date we made sure they were available prior to booking. Both Chris and Shazia have been fantastic from the initial booking to the big day. I highly recommend you book both Chris and Shazia when deciding on chocolate chip photography. We didn’t just get two amazing photographers, Chris was there to help everyone with the ties, button holes and pocket squares. Shazia was there to help with the dress when the bride and bridesmaids were getting ready. We got an unofficial master of ceremonies as they single handily coordinated the big day and made sure everyone was where they needed to be when it was needed. They knew how to break the ice and make everyone feel comfortable. They both allowed us to have the style we wanted whilst putting their amazing twist on it. If I had to pick a photographer for anything else, I wouldn’t bother looking, I’d just message Chris and Shazia! Hands down the best two for the job!!!

After a long wait and several Covid cancellations, we finally got our wedding day in November 2021, memorable as it was the day Storm Arwen wreaked havoc across the North East. We had Chris photograph our special day and before I even get in to how amazing the photographs are I have to say Chris was so so much more than a photographer and was amazing to our guests, instrumental in making sure the day played out just as we wanted and such a gentleman even offering my Grandma a lift home when the snow started. Chris just seemed to know exactly what I wanted from our images and due to the extraordinary weather we have photos in every season in the one day edited to perfection by Shazia. Absolutely amazing, Chocolate Chip was the first photographers we looked at and didn’t need to look at anyone else. We are so happy with our photos, we got them back 5 weeks after the wedding which was much quicker than expected. Seemed very hassle free getting photos taken on the day and Shazia blended into the background most of the day so you didn’t realise she was there snapping away. The usb stick was delivered in a lovely wooden keepsake box with a few extra treats. Absolutely recommend, they are both so friendly and down to earth so we were comfortable and relaxed being around them which is what you need in a photographer!

I had Chris booked for my wedding back in November, it wasn’t an easy day given that we had all seasons of weather, sun in the morning, cloud and wind in the afternoon then to top it off we had blizzards on the evening, however this did not stop Chris, in fact it has made for some of the most beautiful pictures I’ve seen. We couldn’t recommend them enough – they were fabulous from start to finish. We chose them because their photos really captured the essence of the day with nothing feeling overly formal which really fitted with the relaxed day we wanted to have. Shazia met us at the house and immediately put everyone at ease. Neither Martin nor I are great at posing for pictures but she made it all into a really enjoyable experience and helped us both relax. Some of our favourite pictures are those from when we went walkabout with backdrops that I’m not sure anyone else would have seen. We laughed and smiled so much throughout the process. Not only that but when my “we’ll just get a taxi” plan failed Shazia stepped in and drove me, my mum and my bridesmaids to the venue – talk about above and beyond!

Me and my wife couldn’t recommended Chris and Shazia at chocolate chip photography enough, They were amazing we had an idea we wanted to elope in secret and capture the day with photos and videos to play a surprise wedding reception for our family and friends. My wife knew them from a wedding were she was bridesmaid at previously so knew they were the photographer’s to help us embark on our plan. They went above and beyond with helping us plan where we were going to get our photos. They suggested we go to hareshaw linn as there’s a lovely waterfall there and they planned it all for us when there the photos we got are incredible something you would see in a magazine. They were our witnesses aswel to our wedding. We hired them for 2 days 1 for our wedding day and 1 for the surprise wedding reception. As was a surprise secret wedding there were no bridesmaids or best men so Shazia helped my wife with the dress and Chris helped me with my tie 32 years old still can’t do a tie🤦‍♂️. They were amazing start to finish both day’s and we couldn’t have picked anyone better.

On the day Chris and Shaz were more than just photographers for us- they felt more like friends as they are so friendly and socialised with our guests too whilst making everyone feel so comfortable around them. The following week we were back at the studio to view our photographs, even this was the most perfect experience as Chris sets the atmosphere just right ready for a cinematic viewing of the photos- make sure you have tissues at the ready!! There is not one bad thing to say about Chocolate Chip Photography- they put their all into everything they do and the end result is always exceptional. We first booked Chocolate Chip to photograph our 2021 wedding back in 2019, following the recommendation of a close friend who’s wedding they photographed earlier that year. This was before we knew anything about what the world had in store for us all and when ‘photography’ was just another thing to cross off our endless wedding to do list.... It actually turned out to be the best and most important decision we made! We knew that we wanted something less ordinary and were really drawn to the edgy, moody style of Chocolate Chip’s portfolio. The images were bolder and more creative than we’d seen before and we knew straight away that we wanted to book. When the world turned upside down and we had to postpone our wedding (March 2021 in full lockdown) Chris and Shazia went above and beyond to support their couples and to be that calm voice of reason that we all needed. Not wanting to wait to be married, they inspired us to do something completely different and elope, assuring us that it could still be the most beautiful day...and how right they were! Our elopement wedding was the most perfect day and Chocolate Chip were such a huge part of it. Chris and Shazia were our photographers, witnesses and friends and the day was a complete adventure from start to finish. The photographs are unbelievably stunning and for someone who usually hates her photo being taken, this has filled me with confidence. We contacted Chocolate Chip after a few recommendations from friends and we couldn’t have been happier to have them capture our day! Chris and Shazia were incredible from pre wedding preparations to the day itself! Our wedding was October 2020 and on the run up to the day the COVID rules were changing almost daily but Chris kept us at ease. When the rules changed to only allow 15 people, Chris suggested also having a video and it turned out amazing! On the day itself, they both fit in like part of the family, Shazia didn’t hesitate to help with getting ready and getting me into my dress and they both made us feel so at ease in front of the camera. It didn’t stop raining but that didn’t stop them from coming up with back up plans to still get some amazing shots! We would recommend them to anyone looking for a photographer!

We found Chris & Shazia on Facebook back in 2018, trailing through numerous wedding photographers sites. But theirs stood out by a mile, the design & layout of their website to the totally mind blowing photos of various previous weddings. We met at their beautiful, professional laid out photo studio & felt automatically welcome. Very friendly couple who reassured us & made us feel at ease with guidance & what packages to offer. We booked both of them & pre-wedding shoot due to my partner nerves. It was an easy set up to pay off the balance & they were always available to contact. During the COVID pandemic they kept us entertained with their online video’s via FB, so kind of felt like part of their family. Leading up to the few months before our wedding, we had our pre-wedding shoot around Ouseburn in Newcastle city centre. Slight nerves at the beginning of the shoot but Shazia made us feel at ease & a lot more comfortable by the end. We really enjoyed ourselves, even it felt weird having a photographer in tow!! We are totally blown away by the pre-wedding photos, Shazia definitely caught the atmosphere of us in love. Onto our wedding day, the stress & nerves had definitely kicked in after since a long wait for our special day. Chris & Shazia took total control of the room, always focusing on us trying to keep us calm & relaxed. Very attentive throughout the day, feeding us, getting us drinks, pushing to get the shots that we wanted within such a small time constraint, I could literally could keep going on how amazing they were!! Nothing was too much for either of them, they blended in with the guests & capture the whole day. I always worried how the photos of the wedding would turn out, especially with us being so emotional & stress leading up to the actual wedding. But we are so in awe of our wedding photos , they have caught us in our happiest moments, caught the emotions & the tears of our day!! Amazing!!! We first came across Chocolate chip when looking for a photographer for our wedding and we loved their work straight away. We loved how unique and creative their work was, and how personal each photo was for each couple. We then met Chris and Shazia at our wedding venue fair, we new we wanted them to do our day as they are both so friendly, professional and talented. We came across Chocolate Chip photography as they were a recommended supplier at our Venue Ellingham Hall. The meeting via zoom with Chris and Shazia were easy, friendly and enjoyable and we quickly knew that we wanted them to be part of our day. Shazia was our photographer on the day. She went above and beyond to make sure we got the best photos and even took us down to our favourite beach in lower Newton. Our guests were also complementing her throughout the day. We got our two minute video back quickly, which we loved and couldn’t be happier with our wedding snaps! We would definitely recommend Chocolate Chip! We have recently had our newborn photo shoot and honestly, Chris was just brilliant! He's like the baby whisperer with his soothing voice, warm blankets and white noise app! We met Chris and Shazia at a wedding fair in 2017! We immediately fell in love with their work but more so we fell in love with both of them. We booked them the same day. We had a pre-engagment shoot with them both where we went off to London, they put us both at ease, neither of us are keen on our photo being taken but they made sure we were comfotable and at ease which didnt take long. We had a fab time in London with them and couldnt wait to continue the journey at our wedding. They kept in contact all the way up to the day with how plans were going and how we were feeling and offered advice when our venue cancelled and we had to scramble to find a new one. They made our entire family and friends feel at ease on the big day and they blended in as welcone guests on our day. They took some amazing shots of people who we didn't have photos of and we now have beautiful memories of people who are no longer with us. We have kept in touch since our wedding and even helped them celebrate their own big day. The day then came to book their services again for our first family shoot when our little boy came in to our lives. We couldnt be more grateful, they spent the afternoon with us all playing in the mud (lots of mud), climbing trees and jumping into rivers. The shots are just beautiful! We cant wait to see our families reaction when they open them at Christmas time. We have now had three shoots with Chris and Shazia and who knows what the fourth one will be, but bring on the next adventure is what we say. We couldn't recommend Chris and Shazia enough!!! From our first meeting (which was actually face to face in a studio before Covid took hold!) all the way through to our wedding, Chris and Shazia looked after us, and kept in regular contact when the pandemic was essentially ruining peoples big days. And we were lucky enough to win! Which was just what we needed to lift our spirits during lockdown. From finding Chocolate Chip on social media we loved their images from the start, when choosing a photographer we just couldn't get their images out of our heads and nobody else came close. From our first message to receiving our photos they were brilliant and always responded to our messages. We booked a preshoot with them which gave us a chance to get to know Shazia and feel comfortable with getting our photo taken. I'd highly recommend a preshoot as it allowed us to relax on our wedding day. On our wedding day from the moment Shazia arrived she went above and beyond. She answered the phone/door, greeted the florist, helped do up my dress, offered her sewing kit as Chris' button was loose and most importantly ensured our day was running smoothly. For me she felt part of the bridal party as she fitted in perfectly and helped with the relaxed atmosphere. When we arrived back at our venue Shazia was organised and professional when taking our group/couple photos. After the formal photos she snapped away as everyone enjoyed the sunshine, we didn't realise how many beautiful photos she'd taken of everyone having fun. We received our photos within 9 days. The online gallery is great; the photos are all divided into sections and has allowed us to share them with our friends and family. I can't put into words how much we adore them and we haven't stopped looking at them. Everyone who has seen them has loved them and complimented Shazia on how talented and friendly she is. Chocolate Chip were perfect for us, you were fun, friendly and relaxed and you couldn't have done anymore for us. We loved the whole experience with you. The only problem we now have is narrowing down our stunning images!!

Chocolate Chip Photography did my Maternity and Newborn photos. I can thoroughly recommend them. I’m so pleased I chose them to do this once in a lifetime set of photos. Right from the maternity photos, I felt so much at ease and even felt confident enough to do some very natural shots with my husband when I was 36 weeks pregnant. Shazia has such a keen eye for detail and Chris has endless patience to get that perfect shot with your baby. My daughter, Grace, was just 4 days old when they did her newborn photos. After a traumatic emergency caesarian birth, I was very drained by this time but was able to leave Grace in Chris’s hands while I relaxed in the comfy viewing area in the studio. All I needed to do was feed her and change her nappy as required. When Grace was 10 days old we also had some family shots done with my 16 year old son to complete the set. We now have a set of beautiful and unique photos to celebrate Grace’s early days and have two incredible pieces of artwork on our walls: one includes Grace with a unique prop; the other is a set of four prints of our family in one. Both are in gorgeous, modern frames. Seeing those shots in series the first time with lovely music playing in the background during the viewing session was such an emotional experience for us both. If this is something you’re considering having done, I would definitely choose Chocolate Chip Photography. You’re getting the highest quality of beautiful and unique photos and the best experience ever. You only get this opportunity once in your baby’s life so let the best capture these moments for you.
