We initially got to know Jason when he came to our Holiday Park to take some photographs for us to use on our website and for our advertising material. Having worked with Jason commercially in the past I already knew his photography was of the highest standard so it was an easy decision to ask him to be our wedding photographer when we decided to get married. His attention to detail in the planning was hugely reassuring as a bride to be, and we were even able to include some creative shooting in unusual locations at our venue which was great fun and provided awesome shots that will make us smile until we are old and grey. The images are beautiful, he has captured the essence of the day with natural light and the relaxed feel we were looking for. So many guests commented on or after the day how lovely our photographer was, Jason truly became part of the day and made everyone feel at ease because he's a really nice man! To top it all off... Jason managed to get our photos ready for us before we flew on honeymoon, so we were able to sit at the airport 48 hours later reliving every moment while it was fresh in our minds. He blended into the crowd so that you were unaware of his presence, and that showed in the natural photos that we got that told the story of our wedding day brilliantly. We chose Jason as our wedding photographer as I had worked with him before for work and knew he was fantastic. We met Jason before the wedding to chat through our day and the sort of things we wanted...he then created this perfectly on the day. We didn't have long lists of people we wanting photographing as we just wanted everyone to enjoy the day and be photographed doing so. Jason was the perfect chilled guy to do this! We hardly knew Jason was there at all (not that it would have mattered if we did as he's a cool guy!) but it really didn't seem like we were posing for photos. Jason captured every part of the day perfectly. When we looked through our photos (which came back to us within days of the wedding), we couldn't believe how he'd managed to capture everything, from the people laughing when they were being talked about in the speeches to my nephew pulling funny faces at us in the church. We are so pleased with the photos that Jason took of our wedding! We wanted to avoid anything cheesy or forced and the ones that he took are just what we'd hoped for. We have both known about Jason's work for many years now and, given that memories of the day will last a lifetime, we figured his work would gives us images to last forever too. I needed to hire an Isle of Wight wedding photographer for my wedding this June - living in Devon, I really needed to find one that was understanding, easy to communicate with, and would really come up trumps on the day, and Jason Swain really was the best for the job! We managed to meet up on the Island once before the event to meet and talk things through, then the next time I saw him was on my big day - despite barely knowing each other, Jason and his colleague worked quickly and efficiently - most of my guests barely noticed them there! The best shots were the impromptu ones, where Jason was there to get just the right photo at the right minute, but that said, there were some lovely posed shots too. The wedding photos were uploaded quickly to the gallery, and I had all my wedding photos to keep before I had chance to come down from that 'wedding high!' - It really was fabulous service, and I'm so glad I picked Jason. We used Jason for a family weekend in Seaview on the Isle of Wight for my parents ruby wedding anniversary as a present to them. This involved 14 people with 4 being very young kids for a photo shoot on the beach. Having Jason be our wedding photographer was the best decision since saying yes to marrying my fiancé Daniel! Jason invited us over for a cuppa and a chat as our initial meeting about our wedding day and we were able to discuss our plans for the day. At this stage we didn't know what we wanted so Jason helped us to understand his style of photography and what he felt may work for us. He took time to understand our personalities in this meeting and from that he worked out how best to photograph us on the day. During the chaos of planning a wedding and dealing with many different vendors, Jason's professionalism was so refreshing. He was clear and very organised in his emails which helped us to organise ourselves. When the wonderful wedding day arrived Jason was at the church early catching natural pictures of our friends and family arriving to the church and of the wedding party who were inside preparing. When I arrived to the church he was outside the church taking (what are now, some of my favourite) pictures that captured my excitement and I remember that he spoke some really reassuring words that made me even more happy as if that were possible! He is great at setting you at ease, being discreet and subtle but also letting you know if he has a spontaneous idea, like "I've just noticed there is a great sunset outside".. Our guests who got to chat with him through the day all commented on what a lovely guy he is. We have so many awesome pictures of us, our friends and our family's having fun, he captured the theme of the day, which was love, joy and gratefulness so perfectly. I first met Jason in the sea as myself and Daniel and Jason are all surfers. Daniel and I got engaged at 'fields' the surf break by Compton Bay, we discussed having some photos on our wedding day at Compton. In my mind I just assumed we would be somewhere on the grass with a nice view of the surf/sea. When we arrived we were met by Jason and his idea of 'follow me there's a great sky and a fantastic patch of wet sand!'. I was surprised and a bit unsure of how this would work as my wedding dress had a long train but we went with him, deciding that 'hey ho, a dress can always be dry cleaned and we only get this day once.' We went down to the beach, he lent me his hoody as it was a bit of a cold and blowy October afternoon (thanks Jason!). He took some pictures of just me, and then some of Bride and Groom on the wet sand and then spontaneously asked a guy on the beach if we could borrow his SUP board, so we jumped on it and posed for some photos! The beach photographs have come out great and are so much fun! His eye to notice that the reflection of the stormy sky with some sun coming through on the wet sand proved to surpass our inexperienced thought of us standing on the cliff somewhere thankfully!! We are so glad we said yes to trusting his creativity and experience. We can't recommend Jason's photography highly enough, we have these awesome pictures to remind us of what a joyous day it was. Jason did our wedding photos, August 2014, and we highly recommend him! Not only did we LOVE our photos, we were so grateful to have such a friendly, relaxed and professional photographer on the day! We had quite a large number of wedding guests (both of us having large family circles) so we wanted the day to be fun, traditional and focussed around the celebration of marriage and people- and Jason's pictures capture and reflect exactly that. Jason captured everybody in a mixture of natural and some posed shots as requested, but all of the images showcase the best memories of the day, as well as covering brilliant 'caught on camera' moments that we could enjoy afterwards. By the end of the day, we felt as if Jason was a part of our wedding guests, which just meant we could feel so comfortable and relaxed the entire time knowing those treasured photos were being taken by trustworthy hands!
