I Have just completed a five day workshop in Lanzarote with Mike. What a fantastic week it was too. Mike is an excellent teacher, and I have learned a lot of new things while I was on this workshop. We visited some superb locations with breathtaking views which are off the beaten track where hardly anyone else goes. I’m sure we all came home with many stunning photographs. Worth every penny, and I absolutely enjoyed every minute. My photography has improved immensely as a result. Mike is always on hand for help and advice, and is very patient and explains everything in a clear, understandable manner. Thanks Mike. It was brilliant!

I purchased a camera way beyond my abilities thinking I'd just get used to it and quickly realised I was out of my depth. Many helpful and not so helpful youtube videos later I stumbled across Mikes videos probably helped by the algorithm picking up my love of motorcycle riding.
I watched a few of Mikes videos and took note of his sales pitch for his online photography course. After a while I decided to purchase his course. I can say it was an excellent decision.
Mikes teaching manner is easy to grasp and he explains things very well. Information presented is clear and concise and I found myself enjoying the videos/tutorials alot, Mike does make them good fun.
The notes provided are helpful but as the man says you need to practice practice practice there is no magic wand you have to get out and take some pictures.
I can say that as a complete novice I have gained an understanding for my camera and photography in general that would otherwise not have gained in such a short period of time.
Over all it's a great course and I'm delighted I took it. Thanks Mike.
P.S you should write a book on the subject.

I have watched many of Mike's photography videos, and have now completed his Master Photography Class.
I have watched many other photographer videos as well. I choose Mike's Master Class because of his presentation style and his technical capabilities. I find Mike easy to watch and listen to. He presents both technical and creative capabilities that make it enjoyable to watch, learn and enjoy this creative craft. Tom

I just finished an Iceland workshop which Mike co-lead. It was a wonderful experience and I could not be more pleased. Mike was professional, extremely helpful in every step along the way and a wealth of knowledge. I would not hesitant to attend another workshop with Mike. Top notch in every sense!!!

Best decision I’ve ever made. Spent years with an old school film camera then finally went digital and my photography died! My love/hate relationship with my dslr because my photos weren’t what I seeing or what I wanted to achieve because until now, no one has ever been able to explained that the camera can get it wrong. Mike is a brilliantly skilled teacher and photographer. I loved his personality and sense of humor. His teaching technique is perfect for how I learn. The live examples of how shots go wrong and how to correct them were invaluable! Watching his camera do exactly what mine does and finally understanding why and how to deal with it is priceless! He doesn’t just say things once and expect you to remember, he repeatedly explains valuable information so it becomes a part of your vocabulary. Mike is the only person I want teaching me about photography! This course is worth hundreds. He covers EVERYTHING!

Having been following Mike and some other professionals on You Tube for the past couple of years I have to say his tutorials stand head and shoulder above the rest for the quality and clarity of his teaching.
His Masterclass offers incredible value for money in my opinion. Mike covers all aspects of photography from key settings to
composition and light.
I thought I’d picked up a lot over the past couple of years but Mike’s course has taken my knowledge to a whole new level.
I can’t wait to try out what I’ve learnt. Thank you Mike!

A born teacher!!!
Mike is a born teacher! I took his webinar and the way he teaches is comprehensive an thorough, and he makes everything simple and easy! After I took the webinar I was sure I got it - didn't had to go back in insecurity "have I got it right?" He has great gift for photography and for teaching, and that combined with great personality is a best thing that anybody can offer to us - his students!!! I will take more webinars and for sure I'll get myself a beginners course as I see that this guy is truly THE BEST!!!

Having just completed the Ultimate Beginners course I can honestly say that this would be suitable for anyone from about age 8 up to fossil-status - Mike is clear, concise, accurate, funny BUT most importantly he imparts information in a way which is easy to understand - his enthusiasm is infectious in the best possible way - Furthermore he should be highly commended for what he puts out on a regular basis for free. Even if you are not a beginner I would still say you could learn a great deal from this course and firmly cement in your mind a thinking order for how to set up a photo before you just click and run. Great Teacher. Thank you - PAUL Lin.......

Have yet to take up any classes by Mike, but. I follow almost all his YouTube videos and I must say it is really informative as well as easy to understand. if one has to learn anything related to Photography, it has to be from Mike. Keep going Mike and liked your shot of the bike with Mt St Michel in the background.

Having recently completed the masterclass in photography course I will highly recommend it.
Even though I don't class myself as a beginner I learnt so many things to help me along.
How to compose, how to decide what to include and exclude, how to make the most of what is in front of me and more importantly to think about what it is I want to achieve before pressing the button.
Thanks for the great course guys!

My wife and I recently returned from a weekend photography workshop in Zurich run by Mike Browne Photography Courses. The group was small and very amiable. A camaraderie was soon built up between the participants who were diverse and came from different backgrounds. The weekend was extremely good fun while at the same time the relaxed environment was the perfect mood for learning and bettering our own photography. Mr Mike Browne led the workshop himself and was a very personable and affable leader. Always on hand to offer his expert advice and encouragement and to give feedback to help us improve. the genial atmosphere that existed throughout the whole weekend was in no small part due to the sublime character that he posseses as a teacher. The weekend itself comprised of 1 day of tranquility by the side of lake Pfeffikon with group exercises and one to one shoots, while the 2nd day comprised of shooting street photography in Zurich city itself. This day was deliberately planned to coincide with the children's parade at the end of winter festival. We enjoyed 2 wonderful days of photography in the most excellent of company. We couldn't possibly have asked for more.

I've completed Mike's 7-BuildingBlocks & 7-StepsToPerfectPicture courses.
I valued the skillfully crafted sequence of lessons in the 7-BuildingBlocks encouraging the use of the ‘photographer’s brain’. In particular I appreciated the clear explanations of the thought processes at each step of the way. The step-by-step approach motivated me to immediately try out the techniques both in the weekly exercises and on my own images.
Following on from the 7-Building Blocks course I’ve been convinced to look and think more before taking a shot. I’m delighting in experimenting with the tools you’ve so patiently demonstrated.
As a followup I appreciated the detailed lessons about post-production processes in the 7-StepsToPerfectPictures and valued the practical step-by-step approach taken. Once again loved applying the techniques in achieving creative goals.
I feel that Mike's courses have enabled me to be more mindful in taking pictures & to 'bring life’ to my images in ways I hadn’t been able to before.
Thanks to Mike for being an inspiring educator, and a lovely human being.

Mike Browne has a down to earth approach when it comes to learning photography. Practice using ordinary, everyday objects. That is what he is showing in his free videos. Make sure you get the composition, light, depth of focus right when the scenery isn't that exciting. If you can do that without thinking too much, you will also get it right when the scenery is beautiful. That is what I learned from his course "The 7 building blocks of photography", and I found out that it is true. You get assignments because photography is alike playing a musical instrument: only through practice you will improve

I learnt so much from Mike,s photography master class & enjoyed it thoroughly with his down to earth genuine warm & friendly character & teaching skills , has great easy relatable explanations to make what could be complicated simple. Also has voice thats very easy to listen to , even my flatmate commented how she loved the sound of his voice. I am now inspired to put into practice what I've learnt & interested in learning more from mike .

What can I say .... Brilliant on line training course and so glad I chose to go with it. I have been into photography for a few years but there were still bits and bobs that I was struggling with. This training has helped me so much and it was worth every penny. Thanks, you have made a massive difference to my photography.

I would definitely recommend Mike's Ultimate Beginners Course for beginners and seasoned photographers alike. It is superb value for money. With Mike's engaging teaching technique and supporting videos each section of the course is clearly explained and easy to follow. Having completed the course I now have more understanding of the controls of my camera and have the confidence and knowledge to attempt to be more creative with my photography.
R. S.
Mike is an excellent teacher. He illustrates his points with tons of examples. If you pay attention, it is impossible not to learn. The webinar I attended was a right-sized chunk of knowledge that I can practice on my own before going back for the next lesson. Highly recommended.

I have just completed Mikes 4 week course - A Masterclass In Photography. What a trip. Mike is an excellent teacher and his four week course which includes many instructive videos takes you from camera basics right through to the magic of light and composition and being able to take photographs confidently.
I once heard a friend say that you really don't learn to drive until you get a drivers license. After completing Mike's course I have learnt skills that I to can definitely build on.
Sign up for the Masterclass - you won't regret it.

What an amazing course A Masterclass in Photography is! Truly inspirational. If you are a complete DSLR beginner, like I was, and desperate to learn, then look no further. Mike will talk you through the very basics in a way that it's impossible not to understand. His video tutorials are incredibly well structured, hugely entertaining and totally addictive. One of my personal favourites is his demonstration of how aperture and shutter speed work using a glass of milk. Mike has inspired me to look at the world with photographer's eyes, to look for the extraordinary in the ordinary. Thank you so much!
R. H.
Mike Browne's Masterclass in Photography helped me tremendously. I already knew how to use my camera in manual mode, but his explanation of light and the superpowers of ISO, shutter, and aperture gave me new insights I had not frankly thought of before. I am glad I took the course (with the live feedback sessions with Mike on Google Meetings)and highly recommend it to anybody hoping to improve their photography skills.
D. A.
Mike is a great teacher and very down to earth. "The only stupid question is the one you don't ask" I will certainly be saving my pocket money up for his courses. Cheers Mike
J. P.
Having just completed Masterclass .i can say that Mike is a fantastic teacher, explaining everything in simple terms. The course pushes you to practice and brings the enjoyment back to my photography.
Thank you Mike

Just completed the Ultimate Beginners Course from Mike Browne. I've played with photography for some time without fully understanding what I was doing. This course not only confirmed stuff that I already 'knew', and explained why it worked, but also gave me plenty of 'Oh, so that's how it's done' moments! Done in Mike's clear, friendly style, it was an ideal course for me. It's a great way build your photography knowledge, and enjoyable too! Recommended

I've always enjoyed listening to and watching Mike on his videos and in the Photography Locked Down competitions held. He has a natural, easy-going way of teaching people and helping them gain knowledge and understanding about the world of photography. He cares for those he teaches and is with. I would encourage every one to take any of his courses and see for themselves how true this is.

Mike went into very in-depth details in his Magical Mystery of Light webinar, about different light at different times of the day. Showing plenty of high quality examples and explaining everything so clearly.
Mike is such a great teacher, so enthusiastic, he draws you in, everything is transformed into simple terms so it is all easy to understand. All is done within a warm friendly atmosphere that makes you feel so relaxed.
I am sure there is other good photographic teachers out there, but I have never found one that comes close to the way Mike Browne delivers the information. It is all put over so clearly, so informative and with a wonderful passionate style.
A. U.
Mike Browne's way of teaching is more like sharing his knowledge, with many examples included. His webinars and his courses are great fun and yet packed with information to improve any budding photographer's images.
He inspires and motivates in his own inimitable style. You just want to get out there and put it all into practice! Downloadable notes are a great reminder of what you've been learning.

I had problems, as many do, with taking the right pictures the right way. So I enrolled in Mike's Ultimate Beginners Course. Working full time and being a mom I hesitated. But Mike's Photography Course felt like it was designed just for me! Loved the fact that I received new material every week and were able to do the course in my own time at my own pace. And I learned a lot! I have now completed this amazing course and are practicing at every opportunity I get.
Don't let 'life' or distance stop you from doing this course. I thought I had no time and live in South Africa. If I could do it so can you!
My next goal, after some more practice? Doing Mike's 7 Building Blocks.
Thank you very much Mike!

Masterclass in Photography is a great course to improve the photography skills. Mike Browne is brilliant in his teaching in easy to understand, practical step by step instruction. I have been "studying" photography skills for a few years now, but in these video lessons I have learned so much more than I thought I would. An example is how I understand now why some of my pics were soft, even at F22. I have learned so much especially in depth of field and picture sharpness, Thanks, Mike!

7 Building Blocks Of Photography Course. This one goes up to 11
When I completed the Ultimate Beginners Course I spent some time getting comfortable with my camera. I could see a difference straight away as i grew more confident so I took the plunge and bought Mike's 7 Building Blocks of Photography course. All I can say is Wow! What an eye opener and delivered with a style that gave me confidence to really start looking more deeply at my photography. The 7 Building Blocks Of Photography course takes you a big step forward and helps you to think like a photographer. With time and practice I am becoming more skilled at finding compositions along the farm roads and nature trails near my home and it's all thanks to Mike's skill at educating people to be better photographers. I would give it ten out of ten, but in Spinal Tap fashion, this one goes up to 11.
Worth every penny.

Having enjoyed Mike's YouTube channel and his Lockdown Challenges, I find his webinars every bit as relaxed and informative. The man is a true gent, his enthusiasm is infectious and his photographic knowledge is invaluable. If you want to get away from rigid 'rules' and get more creative, listen to what Mike has to say.
C.
As a beginner I have literally spent hours watching videos about photography on youtube, including countless from pros and I did read over a thousand article/review on this topic, but I still did not have much of a clue about it. Mike's videos are amongst the most efficient and easiest ways to understand how to use your camera and take beautiful, quality photos. Thank you so much for your tutorials, they've helped me a lot to understand the fundamental principles of photography and much more. I also love your way of teaching, you have a gift for teaching a complicated thing in a simple, understandable way. Your way of teaching is very clear, concise and easy to follow along.
C. P.
I recently completed the Ultimate Beginner's Course and if I could give it more stars, I would. It's an incredible amount of information for the price and it's so easy to learn, even if you know nothing about photography. Mike's knowledge makes the course informative and his charm makes it fun. There is no way you can go wrong with this one. I definitely plan on taking more of Mike's courses.
B. K.
Best Masterclass course guaranteed. Learn at your own pace with weekly video lessons and exercises. Mike explains everything in a way that you can understand and enjoy.
Thanks to Mike and his team.

I recently attended the Beginners Workshop and thoroughly enjoyed it. Mike creates an informal, relaxed environment, helps you learn how to get the most from your camera and gives you plenty of great ideas on how to improve your pictures. I would thoroughly recommend this workshop - I just wish I'd done it years ago. Many thanks Mike!

Mike's Masterclass in photography has transformed my confidence to take great pictures. The course is concise, relatable, easy to understand and great fun. Being able to see the settings he uses as he shows you what to do has it an invaluable resource. great value and I highly recommend it!

Mike is undoubtedly one of the best photography trainers out there. He doesn't waste your time teaching you which button on your camera does what, but rather makes sure you get a deep and insightful view of what it is that makes for excellent photography. His "Cameras Don't Take Pictures" seminars are a revelation, and should be hailed as being the standard by which other basic photography training should be judged.
P. T.
The Masterclass is a superbly structured course delivered with enthusiasm, panache and humour. The medium is used in an extremely effective fashion, the bite-sized videos focused and clear and the lessons leading the viewer logically through the procedures for mastering the camera and the considerations for improving the photography. Especially good are the examples, with Mike talking the viewer through his own thought processes, emphasising not only what works but also what does not.
The course has taken me on a marvellous journey of discovery and given me the confidence to use my camera in a more flexible way and to take control of the process.
In summary, this Masterclass removes the mystery from taking good photographs while retaining the magic.
A. V.
Extremely valuable course for a beginner. Mike is an excellent teacher and the flow is very well planned. The content does not belabor us on the technicalities and the focus is rather the photography - that I really liked. I was struggling how to think better to compose and I believe I am able to do it better now. We were into understanding how zooms make a difference by week 3, so it moves at a good pace. Then there were details on exposure control, white balance - exercises relevant to content. I was able to understand the behavior of the camera by way of the exercises suggested. Mike makes it very comfortable for us, and I continue to go over the many youtube posts learning from Mike's youtube videos.

I recently completed Mike Browne's 7 Building Blocks of Photography, How to Think Like a Photographer. This was a great course, as are all of Mike's courses. I am now on my 3rd course of Mike's and plan to take another one. I especially like the way Mike teacheshe teaches in a way that I can understand and therefore I can learn from him. His enthusiasm is second to none and keeps me interested. I have learned the art of "seeing" in this course, which has helped me greatly, and since I spend a lot of time in the outdoors, I now look at my environment differently as a result. I am thinking like a photographer. Mike emphasizes that the type of camera is not important, it is the person that counts. Highly recommended.

I am from Brooklyn NYC. Been jumping on each new course of Mike Browne's and that was tremendously helpful. My family saw me diving into photography more and more; as a birthday present helped me to fly across the Atlantic Ocean to visit a photographer who i admire to this day. Mike Browne.
Great friend of mine living in Paris traveled over to be the model and after a 121 tuition day, my dad figured while i was there and we were all having such a lovely time, learning and laughing...added yet a second day to this vividly memorable experience.
Mike is truly a FANTASTIC teacher, photographer and all around wonderful human being. I will not forget this trip and I very highly recommend it to anyone looking to improve their photography. Mike breaks it all down to your personal level, whether you are just starting out or are a professional that would like some tips here and there so that you improve. He watched to a few minutes and was able to figure out where i was and what i might be looking for i help with and he nailed it. My portrait shooting will never be the same thanks to him.
I don't know how to stress it any further, he is a big "rough trouser wearing bloke" with a huge heart. Highly recommend his courses and definitely a 121 tuition day.
W. L.
I would without any doubt 100% recommend Mikes course's to any one, not just beginners. I’ve just completed the 7 building blocks of photography..I used to think because I knew how to use the settings on my camera, I should be able to take a decent photo, so how come I just wasn’t getting photos that stood out or made me proud. I tried to blame it on the fact I just wasn’t the creative type. 7 bb taught me exactly why and really changed my photography, I didn’t even need to be creative, I just had to think like a photographer and now It just all clicks into place, I truly get it.. Thanks Mike, next step for me will be your light room course but too busy right now practicing just taking pics I’m proud of 😁😊
T. D.
Yet another truly amazing photographic course from Mike. This is the course to choose if you have just picked up a camera or like me just want to go over all the basics to keep everything fresh in your mind. All sections of the course, any there are many, are fully explained in non techie language for anyone to understand. Absolutely worth every penny and is the only course you will need to start taking your very best images.

Mike is hands down one of the highest quality photographers working today, And unlike many photographers, he has the incredibly rare talent of being able to convey his techniques and abilities into helpful lessons for aspiring photographers the world over. If you are someone who is keen on learning photography, if you are an old pro who wants to brush up, or if you are anywhere else in between, look no further than Mike. His YouTube tutorials empowered me to build a foundation of knowledge around how cameras work why they do what they do and how to use the settings and my brain to take pictures. I was able to use the skills he teaches which are easily applied to real life situations to further my abilities and transform my photography experience.

I found Mike’s videos by accident while searching for basic digital photography training videos. Over the past year I’ve taken 4 of Mike’s courses, I’m happy to share my thoughts:
General comments: Great content and an engaging, high energy approach to instruction. I have found these courses to be a very worthwhile investment, I believe I’m a better photographer for having made it.
Ultimate Beginners (UBC): I had participated in other “in person” beginners classes before taking UBC but had always come away frustrated, in my opinion this class was head and shoulders above everything else. Beyond the amazing base of knowledge that I came away with, I gained confidence. Starting with the concept of shooting in manual to make sure you understand what you camera is doing and why its doing it gave me a foundation from which I could experiment with my camera settings and as a result take better pictures. The short videos and Mike’s “No Faff” approach to explaining the subject hit the mark for me, the work sheets and exercise brought it to life. I still go back to the work sheets and videos from time to time, every time I do, I learn something else. Bottom line, this course made the complex understandable, I have recommended it to many friends.
7 Building Blocks: You will frequently hear Mike refer to “Your Brilliant Brain” meaning you as the photographer having the ability to see and control everything you want in your picture, and then using the camera to capture it, welcome to building block #1. After UBC I wanted some structure to help me think more like a photographer rather than rushing to snap the shot and then being disappointed that although I had a nice image, it wasn’t what my eye was seeing, this course gave me what I needed. The same combination of video and work sheets with exercises to allow you to build capability and confidence. For me, this course is a must even if you have some experience and don’t take UBC.
7 Step – Workflow and 7 Steps – Perfect Pictures: Let’s face it Lightroom (Lr) is a beast that requires discipline and practice to get the most from it. I initially questioned the need for the “Workflow Mastery” course and Mike is not apologetic about the need for you to make the commitment upfront to manage your pictures and your investment in Lr. I’m so glad I did this course; it’s saved my skin already and managing my workflow quickly became second nature.
“Perfect Pictures” is a real eye opener with a ton on content to help you understand and gain confidence with this very versatile tool, and although Mike is showing you how he prefers to work in Lr he introduces you to all of the tools, tricks and tips so you can make your own artistic choices. More of the same approach of video and work sheets but importantly some of his RAW files that you work on along side him to practice and perfect your skills. I found perfect pictures to be a big investment of time but well worth it.
Beyond Mike’s courses, his website includes a ton of free instructional videos, I found myself up at all hours of the day and night watching them. Be careful they’re addictive, you’ve been warned!
Sorry for being a bit long winded, but I hope this helps.
Ian.

I took Mike Browne's 4-week Masters Class Photography Course in August 2021 and found it very helpful to develop my skills. He has a clear and concise way of expressing his views and backs it up with video examples. Things like focal length, depth of field and choice of lenses for different situations became clear for me. And now that 'fuzzy background' (buket) is now achievable instead of by chance. So my big thanks to you, Mike!
I am now considering to take his Lightroom Course for photo editing.

UBC gives a first-class grounding in the basics of photography. Being an online course you can go at your own pace but the course is 5 weekly parts and the workload is about right for a week. You will learn camera controls and how to use them creatively. Mike uses the basic "entry-level kit equipment" for the course and steers clear of specialist, professional equipment so you can get to grips with the real basics of camera control. As Mike says (often) Cameras don't take pictures, people take pictures. Have a look at the free sample, Mike's down to earth style makes learning fun. I would highly recommend this for beginners.

I just did Mike's Magical Mystery of Light Webinar.
Mike has a charming engaging style which is enjoyable. But he delivers an enormous amount of information in the time frame - a total feast of things to improve your photography. I enjoyed the live webinar which was fast paced and crammed full of material and many questions were answered, the time flew by. It was great to be able to re-watch the material through a couple more times to help me digest it.
Mike has a way of getting things across so that they stick in your mind and I'm already finding myself trying to use what I learned in my photography without thinking about it. By he also provides a download of comprehensive notes so if I have a break and things start to escape my memory (which happens all too easily for me) I can go back and refresh any time.

Signed up with PhotographyCourses.Biz about 4 weeks ago and was invited to join 'Photo Alchemy' Seminar on 6 February. The website is excellent, comprehensive and very easy to navigate. There are lots of 'free' videos with great advice on techniques used for various aspects of photography and focusses on practical advice rather than technical jargon and is relevant to all people interested in taking photos whether improving holiday snaps taken on mobile devices or professional quality landscapes, portraits etc.
The webinar was extremely interesting and covered a wide range of ideas and techniques using practical examples and experiences. Mike is an excellent teacher communicating his ideas clearly and with the right amount of levity to enthuse all with an interest in improving their images.
Highly recommended.

As a teacher/coach myself, I really appreciate how Mike clearly outlines what I need to know as a beginner photographer and simplifies the information in an easy-to-understand manner.
I found the practice exercises particularly useful and are just what I need so I don't become overwhelmed by trying to grasp too much all at once.
I am a visual and kinesthetic learner so the videos are especially helpful for me and Mike's fun and authentic personality makes them enjoyable to watch as well as being very informative.
The Ultimate Beginners Course is the perfect course for anyone wanting to get into photography and learn how to take better pictures.

I have just completed the Ultimate Beginners Course
The course covers many aspects of photography to a level of detail which ensures understanding and did clear up many things I had been unsure about.
Mike's enthusiasm and knowledge, and engaging ability to share these through this medium is excellent and well worth the commitment.
C. J. S.
I have watched countless videos posted on YouTube by Mike Browne and each and every one of them I have found to be educational, inspirational and entertaining.
I met the man himself - on Saturday (August 24, 2019) in Doncaster at his seminar Cameras Don't Take Pictures - and the day was all three of these things. The bonus was that Mike is every bit as charming and witty in person as he is on camera.
It is clear that he wants others to share his immense love of photography as well as his knowledge of the art.
His enthusiasm is infectious, his teaching method engaging, and I am sure I was not alone in taking so much away from the day that I believe will not only make me a better photographer, but also ensure I enjoy every step of the process.
Thanks, Mike. Hope to meet up with you again soon, either at another day's seminar or on one of your trips.
S. K.
Mike is a fantastic teacher, really knowledgeable and easy to understand. He has definitely helped me progress in my photography and I would recommend him highly if you are just starting out or indeed wanting a refresher.

Although not a complete novice I often found myself muddling along, guessing at settings and not entirely sure what I was doing. I decided to go back to basics and take Mike's Ultimate Beginners Course and I am glad I did. With both his worksheets and excellent videos on You Tube I have now begun to dot the I's and cross the T's. Mike is an excellent teacher explaining in a way that is easy to follow. Very soon I will be purchasing another course.
M. R.
I have taken both the Ultimate Beginners Course and the 7 Building Block of Photography Course. Both are excellent courses and taking those courses was a great investment for me. The 7 Building Blocks of Photography Course provided me with a repeatable and disciplined method of making a photograph and that greatly improved my photography and my confidence. I high recommend both those courses. Check out Mike's website and decide which class is best suited for you.
Update: May 8, 2021 - Yesterday attended Choreography of Composition webinar given by Mike Browne. Excellent information and I can highly recommend it. Important information delivered in an easy to understand presentation. I will be signing up for future webinar that Mike Browne hosts.
M. W.
Mike Browne's enthusiastic & positive approach is contagious. After following his free videos on youtube I purchased his 7 building blocks of photography. The course really opened my eyes and improved my photography more in the 2 months than the 2 previous decades had. I then went on his beginners workshop and was so impressed I booked his Lanzarote workshop, which the lockdown has put put on hold to next year. If I've learnt one thing, it's I'd wished I spent less on camera gear and more on training, and practicing, especially under his guidance!
P. H.
Mike's way of explaining photography ensures you learn how to take photographs. He brings the subject down to a very basic level concentrating on the photographer rather than the camera. Great course I can highly recommend it.
S. J.
I love to watch Mike's videos, he has a very friendly but very informative approach of explaining things. I purchased his UBC and it really helped me a lot as a beginner. I found it very interesting and could not wait for the next session to get started. I have watched a lot of You Tube and I would highly recommend Mike, in fact I don't bother with anyone else because I am so happy with how Mike comes across. Just watch one of his videos and you will not be disappointed. Thanks Mike and keep up the good work.
J. A.
Undertook the ‘Ultimate Beginners’ Mike’s simple and easy approach to learning this art was best using what you have (my only addition was a tripod after Mikes guidance) and can see the difference before and after.
Can’t wait to continue on to next course.
Your free YouTube videos was what guided me to your course as were so easy to understand.
Keep up the good work. I would recommend UBC to any beginners as Mikes approach guides you step by step in small chunks.

Mike has been my teacher for over 3 years. I flew from my home in the USA to Christchurch in England in May 2018 to have a one on one day with him because I needed that experience. I will never regret taking this trip and going out on that one to one day with Mike because the block I had is gone and I am so much better at composition and understanding light. Mike has a style of teaching that is easy going and that allows the information to sink in. His ecourses are easy to follow also. I went on to London with the information I learned from Mike and came home with photos that I thought I could never make. No regrets here.

Over time I have watched dozens of Mike's free videos on all sorts of photography subjects and thought that was all I needed to become a great photographer. True, I did improve but I still wasn't completely happy with my results.
The great thing about the 7 Building Blocks of Photography was that it tied the information in all the videos together by providing a structured approach to each shot described in Mike's unique, understandable, easy going style. I can now think through all aspects of each shot in a logical and structured way and understand the creative possibilities of the camera controls before even lifting the camera to my eye.
Investing in the 7 Building Blocks of Photography has improved my photography much more than any expensive camera gadget.

This was a wonderful seminar. I’ve been watching Mike Browne on YouTube for about 3 years and have purchased the beginners course and recently, the 7 Building Blocks. I love his practical approach to photography. And he’s very giving of his knowledge.
P. M.
Was very wary of 'internet' photo courses, researched Mike and he had a good following with great feedback. Took the plunge.
So glad I did, there were so many gaps in my basic knowledge and that was stopping me for getting the rewards for the work I was putting in. Frustration reigned. Mike has more than filled those gaps in a way that was easy to grasp but with as much detail as is needed without being overpowering. You are not rushed aether and given assignments to practice the skill taught. I will have no qualms about going onto the the next level of course that Mike provides. Thanks from one hell of a happier photographer.

I have been a keen amature photographer for many years but always struggled getting consistant quality pictures. I have followed Mike Browne on you tube for about a year and found his tutorials really helpfull. I was not sure about taking the plunge to participate in the full "Ultimate Beginners Course" wondering how much I would really gain from this.
Having taken the decision to take the course I found the format easy to follow and and extremely benificial, course material is easy to understand and you have the material available to read through as often as you require. This has provided me with a better understanding of where I was going wrong and how to rectify my mistakes.
This has now given me a new enthusiasm for my photography and continue to learn every week. I continue to follow the tutorials on you tube but I would highly reccommend this course for anyone who wants to improve their photography.
Thanks to Mike and his team for their assistance.

I had an amazing time with Mike and all the others at the beginners workshop in Mudeford. Mike is a great teacher and such an amiable person, who really helps you understand photography on a whole new level. Thanks a lot for this wonderful experience, Mike!

I started my career with hobby photography just couple of months ago. Watched hours of videos both on youtube and linked in learning. Mike's way of coaching the art and science of photography makes you actually understand how to figure out camera settings and compositions. Instead of just telling how to make things happen, he will take you through the mind set and thinking process which leads up to the great picture. Just finalized the 7 Building Blocks of photography course, and it actually transforms your thinking and mind set from just taking pictures to actually creating pictures. Thanks a bunch, Mike. I definitely haven't seen the last of you.

Mike this course was fantastic, I have been struggling with Lightroom for three years now and you made it all make sense. I am now in the process of using Lightroom to categorize my some 700,000 pictures taken over the last 18 years. I am so happy that i can finally use Lightroom and feel confident of knowing where everything is. Thank You.

Just completed my UBC course and attended 2 webinars so far, going for more. Mike Browne teaching make it easy to understand how to use your camera settings, he is the kind of Dude you like to hang around with. The more you practice what you've learned the better you become. I am just at the beginning of my photography journey.....love it!

Just completed the 7 Building Blocks course, love the way Mike breaks everything down to bit sized pieces, really helped me absorb the info. Mike's laid back style coupled with his easy to follow techniques makes this an essential course if you're thinking about taking up photography.

Thank you, Mike for the most comprehensive yet easy to follow Photography courses online! Your videos on Focal distance and Depth of field helped me understand Photography on a much deeper level. I recommend your courses to anyone looking for a one stop resource to learn the essential skills in Photography. The courses are very entertaining, informative, well paced and well structured-all the best in your future endeavours!

I attended Mike's webinar "The Choreography of Composition". It was informative, fun and interactive. - as a beginner this is a great way to learn and pick up tips. I look forward to watching others from his current series of webinars.

I like Mike Browne. He is genuinely interested in the everyday photographer. He is straight to the point with his advice, without been over technical. I have enjoyed three courses of his; 7 steps of Photography, Photoshop and the recent Lightroom tutorial. They are packed with information, but set out in such a way even I at 73 years old can follow and learn. No disrespect to Adobe's tutorials, but I have learnt more from Mike on this occasion, which has certainly improved the way I take pictures. The most obvious is being patient composing and also realising that whatever equipment you have expensive or otherwise you are the one that creates the picture by giving the camera the correct instructions.
Mike's internet site is well worth a visit and to receive his videos on a regular basis, perhaps for a small donation is well worth it.
His presentations whilst been informative can be quite humorous.
Highly recommended for beginners, those who wish get a little further and those who need a refresher.

With his great knowledge of photography, Mike knows how to convey his knowledge in a fresh, fun and understandable way. Whether you are a starting photographer or advanced and you want to take yourself to a higher level, ask mike! In addition, Mike is also very funny :)

I have learnt all I know about photography from Mike Browne simply by watching his amazing free videos posted on Youtube & from his fabulous online courses. Mike is a natural teacher. He manages to keep a potentially complicated subject simple whilst all the time injecting his passion and playful nature into the lessons. Even though I have never met Mike, I feel he's like an old friend. Keep up the stella work Mike & I promise I'll be with you in some exotic location on one of your workshops soon.
L. B.
You can honestly not go wrong with Mike! I have learnt so much from him and im sure there is more he could teach me and those keen on photography.
If you are a beginner or even enthusiast Mike can cater for all ages and skill levels. Mike wont just show you how to take a great picture of a particular situation but give you the knowledge to be able to apply it to any situation going forward.
100% the best value and most cost effective way to further your photography hobby/career. Thanks Mike :)

I have completed 2 of Mike Browne’s courses 7 steps to perfect pictures and 7 building blocks of photography. I learnt so much and enjoyed every minute of it... Mike is such a lovely man and when it comes to photography he is in a league of his own..If you are serious about photography listen to what this man has to say 😊

I have just completed The Ultimate Beginners Course and all I can say is don't think about it JUST DO IT. I was a little apprehensive at first I have watched loads of Mike videos and enjoyed them all but I was still breaking out in a sweat at moving off auto on my camera. It was worth every penny Mike seems like an old friend by the time the couse is finished. He is one of the best guides and trainers you could have . He makes it simple to understand all the dreaded app iso and shutter speed options. After shooting snaps for the last 50 years I have just taken a photo shoot for my daughter in manual mode!! Moving to manual seemed a leap too far for me but now I want to try shooting raw and learning lightroom. I know what I will want for my birthday more courses. I still need to put plenty of practice in but now I'm really enjoying it. Thanks for everything Mike.
P. L.
I have so far purchased the ultimate beginners course and 7 steps to workflow mastery. An investment which i consider money well worth spent. Mike as the ability to speak as if you are the only person he his speaking to, which makes it feel as if you are his only student and you are getting one to one tuition.
I have learned so much about taking pictures, undestanding my camera and getting to grips with Lightroom.
Would I recommend his courses, in a heart beat.
A. L.
I had a wonderful time at the Cameras Dont Take Pictures day at Winchester with Mike. His morning seminar was informative and inspiring. His style is very down to earth and he explains things in such an uncomplicated way. His passion is to help you realise that the picture starts in your head and the camera is just there to capture the moment! The afternoon photowalk around the city was the perfect opportunity to try to put into practice what we'd learned in the morning. If you ever get chance to join him for the day then I would thoroughly recommend it, no matter what level you are at!
K. D.
Thank you Mike.
Your course is really good. It is life-changing in some ways. I love the way you teach, simple, understandable but with a lot of contagious enthusiasm.
I also love that you are realistic and emphasize that great photos take time and work, but that it is achievable and we should enjoy taking photos (even when they are not so good).
Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us without hesitation and hiding the secrets of the craft.
Thank you for making the world a better place ...

If you want a photography course to learn from home this is it.
Mike teaches at a nice pace, he doesn't speak fast so easy to follow. Great having videos that you can re watch
and you can print everything out so its like having your own bible to hand. He breaks everything down and shows you why and how.
I don't take snaps anymore I take photographs that get printed.
Great value. Go for it !!!!
L. D. G.
It was a really nice day with Mike sharing his vast experience and knowledge with us in a down-to-earth and sincere fashion. It was also nice to see the man I had only seen until then in a vast number of videos I had watched of him finally in the flesh. It was also good to meet like-minded people and share experiences and frustrations to know you're not entirely alone in the treacherous yet hugely enticing waters of photography.

Travelled from Dover to Winchester for "camera don't take pictures " Well worth the effort. Mike delivered the course in a clear concise professional manner. And in bite size chunks.. "He's right ...It's all about photography"
Thanks for filling in the blanks Mike - a good day and the walkabout too.

I booked the UBC course and it is worth every penny. Tons of tips presented with infectious enthusiasm made it a fun experience. I recommend it wholeheartedly

Best value online photography course !! Mike's easy going, non geek style & considerable knowledge & experience make the U.B.C. a must for all beginners. Learning the basics from the very start, will save lots of frustrating hours trying to Figure it All Out !!! Keep up the great work, Mike, & Thank You.

Really enjoyed the online photography courses, learned a lot. Mike combines his honed talents with humour, passing information on through logical well-illustrated examples and text. He is humble enough not to claim he is the world's greatest, but he holds strong opinions borne out of experience and offers a helpful guiding hand and advice to those of us who have the enthusiasm but not yet the skills to make a hobby worthwhile. This guy really works hard and gives his all in shining a torch towards making you a better photographer, more interested in using the tools (camera and lenses) you have, rather than advocating the latest kit.
L. M.
Thanks for the How to Capture a Perfect Picture Webinar - Mike always gets you thinking and ready to try a different approach - but also reminded me what goes into those awesome photos we see on the internet. Another awesome webinar interactive and easy to understand with Mike's style of teaching

I recently completed the Ultimate Beginners Course, and what an inspirational and well structured course this is.
I used to have a film camera way back when, but then that format practically became extinct and so did my photography. Fast forward several years and I recently bought myself a DSLR, with an idea of the sort of images I’d like to capture but no real idea of how to achieve it. I started watching “how to” videos on line which were ok but then I came across Mikes channel and was hooked.
“This guy knows how to teach in a way that makes sense to me” I thought, so when I found out about the UBC I thought I’d give it a whirl. I’ve got to say, that was one of my better decisions. I must admit I wasn’t sure it would be for me. I thought the amount of information might be overwhelming, but Mike’s style is to gently lead you through the process one step at a time and encourage you to have a go. From Week 1 I was up and running. Everything to gain and nothing to lose. I love the way the technical aspects are explained thoroughly but not in a mind blowing way. And the videos are so, so helpful. Seeing how to practice getting depth of field right, and understanding it, for example, is on another level to simply reading about it.
Of course practice is key and I found that the worksheets were a great way of getting me out there to try out the different techniques for myself. And you know what? It’s paying off.
Before I took this course I would get loads of forgettable photos and, very occasionally, get a really good one without much of an idea how I managed it. Ok, I still get some ropey images (what the heck I’m a learner) but now I understand why. And that’s the key. The number of “keepers” I’m getting has increased big time and that can only be put down to what I’ve learned, and am still learning, through this course.
Someone said (I think it was you Mike) that the more you practice the luckier you get. Well I’m getting quite a bit luckier since taking this course. If I’m not sure of something, I just revisit the relevant bits then get out and have go. I must say I’ve had quite a few “light bulb” moments when I’ve been out and about with the worksheets and things have clicked into place.
Anyway, thank you for this course Mike. You’ve taken me from occasionally lucky snapper to enthusiastic photographer.

I've learned so much from Mikes webinar and have also completed one of the courses. His fantastic teaching ability makes learning interesting and fun. I'm looking forward to doing another course and can highly recommend them.

7 Building Blocks of Photography Review December 2018.
For quite a while I've been thinking that my photographs were lacking something. I've been taking photographs for about 64 years now and am well up to speed with the technical side of things, so concluded that as I am an art philistine and don't have an artistic bone in my body, it was a lack of art. I just don't get art, so that must be the issue.
At my camera club we had a couple of presentations on composition which were based on artistic parameters, and to be honest, most of it went over my head. But one of the presentations did resonate with me just a bit. The door to composition had been cracked open. I could see some of the basics, but the recommended book, duely bought, was a hard read. In fact I have still not got very far into it.
I got to hear of Mike Browne at my camera club from another member. I was impressed with the videos, especially the way Mike presents and structures them. The fact that Mike also reflects my own outlook is a bonus too. I have many years of experience in photography. I know lots of the tecchie stuff. I don't have problems taking photographs in any conditions - in fact I try to go outside of my comfort zone quite often so I have to use my BB ;).
But there is a but. As I said at the start, my photographs are missing something. I have often thought about doing a course. Back in the 1980s I started City & Guilds at evening school, mainly to get access to a darkroom! I took the decision to use only my Rolliecord for the course, the only non-35mm camera there. But a job that required my having to stay late with no notice nibbled away at my attendance and eventually I threw in the towel. I've looked at other courses both physical attendance and on line and found nothing that I had confidence that would actually teach me anything, and the physical attendance courses were very expensive too. Pure photography at night school seems to have disappeared. Photography is now a part of art courses, and as you know, I'm an art philistine.
Looking at Mike's courses the 7 Building Blocks always seemed to be the one for me, but having watched many (most?) of Mike's videos, would this course actually give me what I needed?
I have to say that yes, it did! Not in the technical side, and no, I'm NOT saying I know everything - I (we) never stop learning about photography. I mean that over the years I've made lots of mistakes that I've learned from and over 64 years I've had opportunities to make many, many mistakes. So how has the 7 Building Blocks of Photography helped me? It made me realise that contrary to my default logical and structured approach, outlook and methodology with everything I do, I was not doing this with my photography! I could always get a shot, but not always a 'good' shot. Now I know why, and it is not a lack of art (although I'm not saying that artistic input would not improve my pictures), it was a lack of structure and at last Mike has made pre-visualisation meaningful to me rather than the distorted interpretation I had that was rooted in the art world.
While this is clearly not a beginners course, everyone from the photographer who has just become conversant with the principals of photography to the wizened old photographer like me who have been there, done that and have collections of T shirts can get something from the 7 Building Blocks of Photography. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone falling into this grouping.

Arriving at Mudeford Quay in the pouring rain (Saturday 27Jun20), I'm sure we seven, mixed experience, workshop members were all wondering how it could possibly go ahead, but with a mix of good luck on the weather front and adaptability on MIke's part, we ended up having a great day.
There was so much useful information and inspiration to take away, but given to us in an easy and friendly way, that I'm sure I'll be getting much more pleasure from my photography in the future. Thank you.

Having just finished the Ultimate Beginners Course, I could not recommend it highly enough. Thank you Mike for starting my journey with photography. I had been trying to teach myself, but kept getting confused, so decided to invest in the UBC online course. Absolutely no regrets, I just need to keep practicing so thank you.

What do you get when you have access to both Mike Browne and Simon Taplin during one of their Asia photography workshops? Lots of expertise, a photography-focused holiday, and lots of laughs guaranteed. Just arrive at the start location and immerse yourself in colourful photo opportunities. The tour is organised, the shoots take place during the photographically most suitable time, practical advice and feedback are always at hand. Local knowledge helps to avoid tourist traps, and special opportunities are sought out. Treat yourself to a photography workshop with Mike Browne, it is a good investment in yourself if photography is your thing! If necessary, bribe your non-photographer family members with an adventure to their liking – they would be spared your frequent "I just need to get a shot of this", or "Maybe if we wait for a while the light will change" moments during your regular family outings. Everybody will be happy!
R. K.
Thanks, Mike for a very hands-on and informative workshop - perfect for my needs! You made learning fun with your sense of humour and relaxed style of teaching whilst reinforcing key teaching points all the time. The location was perfect as was the length of day. Looking forward to a follow on course (hint, hint)!

Just attended The Mystery of Light webinar. Lots of helpful advice provided in an easy to understand format. Mike provides a useful 'tool' of thinking of light like water which I found made things much clearer and I'm sure others would too.

Well what can I say that hasn't been said about the way Mike teaches and the amount of information he passes on to frustrated 'mini Mikes' of the future. Well done and thank you I have learnt so much by doing The UBC. Now to put it in to practice and take my photography to the next level.

I had stumbled upon Mike’s free videos on youtube and found them to be unique and inspiring.I could relate to them,as he preferred a hands-on approach in comparison to a theoretical lesson from the comfort of a Studio. His enthusiasm and motivation was infectious.
Still I had apprehensions about attending the course,as I was not sure about how I would benefit from it and whether the one on one experience with Mike would be as enriching as the online videos. It was that fear of uncertainty, which led to doubts and apprehension. However,I decided to take a leap of faith and I was not disappointed. The experience was exhilarating and worth every penny!
The practice sessions were intense. They pushed me out of my comfort zone and forced me to think on my feet.I could see a marked difference between the casual approach of seeing with a keen eye, which I previously had,and the more focused approach of looking with a theme in mind.I could see the improvement in my photos in the post session discussion. At the same time I learned how others saw the same subject with a different but interesting perspective.
However the biggest learning lesson was to learn to follow your instinct and keep experimenting.I realised how futile it is to click for likes,as each person has a different perspective and what is pleasure for one is an eyesore for another.Hence it is impossible to please others.:-)
I would suggest that you first see the free videos and if you like them, then trust me that Mike in person will be even better and you will return from the workshop as a much better photographer.
A photo I clicked during the workshop is attached herewith.
Take the leap of faith!

Mike is a great mentor. His workshops are very well researched and perfectly prepared. I had a great time and a "fantastic vacation". And in addition my photography improved!

Mike is a great teacher, you wont regret using his services. With a friendly simple approach Mike can help you achieve your goals.
Thanks for a great workshop Mike in Mudeford (9/6/18)

I bought Mike Browne’s UBC after watching him on an U tube presentation video. I chose this course as I felt it would help me understand the various functions of my newly purchased Canon ESO Rebel T6. I have now completed the 5 week course and I am very pleased with what I have learned although I do understand there is still a long way for me to go to get the sharp images that one day I hope to achieve.
The course is well worth the price, the technical information is of great value and the instruction informative and easy to follow.
I would recommend this course to anyone who wishes to learn how to use their camera to its full potential.
I’m a complete novice and done all the practice lessons and I am now trying to put all the practice to good use. This is just a start I hope to shoot better images.
Regards
Colin

Hi Mike,
great courses!
When I discovered your online videos on the web, I quickly realized that the courses will take me further photographically.
And in fact I've learned a lot to this day. The courses have given me strong impulses and I know it will continue to do so in the future.
It gives me a great pleasure to learn from the worksheets, videos and webinars and to carry out the examples shown themselves.
I notice a positive change in how I handle my camera and how I see the world more and more from a photographer's point of view.
And it fills me with joy and pride when I succeed in pictures that I know I would never have made otherwise.
The point is that I've already learned a lot about judging why I like a photo or not. And what influence I can have on it myself. This has not been the case in the past at this thorough depth.
Of course there is still a lot to practice, but I see the goal in mind.

Excellent course to set you off on a journey to improving the results of your photography. I can't recommend this highly enough. A good mix of explanations and examples by video and supporting tutorial sheets. Well worth the money - assuming you put in the effort! Thanks Mike
R. D.
I can honestly write that I have watched and enjoyed every available video on Mr. Browne's website. Most importantly; his valuable tips, information, and personal insights have pushed my continuing interest in photography. The most impressive aspect of his presentations is that I feel as if he is speaking to me personally. No better videos to watch and LEARN.

What a Fabulous course. Well put together, factual with a humorous slant on the videos.
I have been out of touch with photography for about 10 years and Mike's approach to composing pictures and putting me in charge has re-energised my love of photography.
I can't emphasise enough how his step by step approach has both refreshed my knowledge in some areas and taught me stuff I didn't know.
In short, I have learnt, that I take the pictures and the camera doesn't. I'm now the Boss and the camera isn't!

This course was fantastic and just what I was looking for. Mike teaches as if you were right there with you and his method of teaching makes it easy to learn. Follow the course, do the exercises and practice practice practice and you will be amazed how much you learn. I would recommend Mike's course to everyone. Thank you, Mike

I completed the 7BB course a couple of months ago. I am still taking in and getting to grips with all of the information that Mike has provided. I ummed and ahhed about spending the money on it and it was sometime before I spent my poor old pensioners cash on it. We gave up eating for a month (no not really). I found it to be well worth the price as it has opened my eyes to a whole new way of taking pictures. I am more confident about the results and am enjoying my photographyy far more. I have no aspirations to be a professsional photographer or even just to sell the odd picture. They are all for my enjoyment and Mike has increased that 10 fold. All delivered in the usual informal manner and this makes learning a pleasure. A big thank you to all the team.
G. B.
Thank you Mike, I always enjoy your tutorials, you have an amazing way of keeping it interesting and you explain things so well. I was able to attend your webinar live, as I live in Australia and would have been on my way to work at the time it was on. I look forward to seeing your next webinar and in the meantime, I will keep practising. :) I have attached a photo of a sunrise over Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, from Mt Cootha, that I took a little while ago. Mike is a excellent teacher and his videos can greatly help you in understanding the complexities of photography . Would highly recommend to anybody who is just starting out on this journey.

I am not a very experienced Photoshop or Lightroom user so in the past I have always felt intimidated, confused and overwhelmed whenever I would use the programs. I decided this needs to end now because it is holding me up from sharing my photos and from selling them online.
So now after taking your "7 Steps to Workflow Mastery - Lightroom Exposed" course I can quickly, easily and confidently process batches of photos by following an efficient workflow process.
If you are new to using Lightroom or are struggling with how to use it and get the most out of it then you really need to purchase this course. Be sure to complete all the exercises. It will save you loads of time and prevent frustration when dealing with organizing, managing and keywording your photos.
Thank you Mike Browne for such a helpful and wonderful course. Keep them coming.

The 7 Building Blocks of Photography course massively improved my photography. The 7Blocks course was an ideal blend of the technical and creative aspects of photography. The notion that the picture begins with the photographer and not the camera is a powerful one.
The course, like the best educational tools, was particularly valuable because it allowed me to think not only about my pictures before I took them, but more importantly it enabled me to better assess why the photos that didn't work failed. This is how life-long learning works best.
I would recommend the course whole heartedly. It's particularly appropriate for the photographer who aspires both to taking pictures that are technically strong, but also have something to say.
Michael Garin
I found the 7 Building Blocks course so helpful that I also purchased the 7 Steps To Perfect PicturesSteps to Perfect Pictures has
improved my retouching skills significantly.
I learned all of the Lightroom tools, how to use them and just as importantly how not to over use them. I was reminded once again that these are all just tools to help you create the image you want to produce. Still the most important tool remains as you like to say, one's creative brain.
This is a much more demanding course than the Building Blocks course I recently completed because it's akin to learning a new language. Even if one masters the grammar that's useless unless the vocabulary comes easily in conversation when it's needed. So for me, the true value of the course was to provide me with the elements that will enable me to become "fluent" over time.

Mike thanks for an awesome Light webinar. I didn't make the live one but watched the recording you sent through. Have learnt lots today. As always webinar easy to understand and very well presented. Keep them coming

Mike Browne's 7 Building Blocks course is top notch and worth every penny..if you're a seasoned photographer or just starting out, you may think that you can obtain this knowledge on your own..you can, but Mike gives you a definite road map to follow and it delivers fantastic results...highly recommend

I downloaded the courses, worked through Block 5, but then I had to take a break while we moved, traveled and a few other life things. But, I did keep shooting what I learned and kept practicing. I just picked it back up and started at Week 1 (that was my plan all along). I can see the improvement in my work. I now shoot 90% of the time on Manual and the adjustments come natural to me...

An excellent and enjoyable course. Learnt valuable new skills.

This webinar was a great refresher for me with lot of new info for modern day cameras and the way things were explained was so easy to follow too.
Thank you Mike, looking forward to the next one.

fantastic course, photography takes a lot of dedication and practice, but Mike explains it simply, really good teacher. I would recommend this course
to anyone interested in photography, thanks Mike

Outstanding Course! It was a great deal of fun and I cannot tell you how much that I learned. I can't thank you enough for all of your help and presentation of the subjects. I am enjoying the exercises. Bravo!

Just came back from the Iceland Workshop. Mike and Thor provided learning and fun in one awesome package. The weather did not always cooperate, but made for nice moody pictures. Will definitely go again to catch the Aurora that eluded us.

Mike offers down to earth advice about taking better pictures. Technical stuff is kept to a minimum and you are reassured that it is nothing to do with having loads of fancy gear.

I loved Mike"s photography course. I had to learn the basics and danced around in his videos for a while but kept getting confused about what I had to learn to get going . It has taken me a long time, longer than the 5 weeks, but that was due to my schedule and actually working at it.
Now my husband and I go on a photo shoot whenever we have time.

This photography experience was a present upon my retirement. I wanted to learn more about photography and this course provided it. It was friendly and very informative. It answered some questions but asked more, it proved I needed more help and intend to use the online courses. It pointed me in the right direction but it showed my need for more understanding of the camera as well as my skills of seeing an opportunity for a photograph, patience to what for the right time.

UBC - Excellent. I found it very helpful in learning Photography. I think without it I would still be in the dark. Mike's approach is very down to earth.

Hi Mike. I always loved ur work. If I could I would of bought 7 building blocks of photography a very long time ago. But I can’t. On ur free stuff I have learnt so much even though I’ve been to college for the basics urs still wins hands down. Please keep up the great work u do. And maybe one day I’ll be able to buy ur building blocks. I don’t want to be just a photographer... I want to be the best that I can be. Anyway see u in ur videos. Bye bye. 👍
