Jenny is simply amazing. She really is so much more than a photographer. She was fantastic with our newborn twins and really took the time to get to know about the birth and us as a family. I first met Jenny when I volunteered to do a maternity shoot for her, this was something I hadn't planned on doing but I'm absolutely thrilled that I did. The photographs of me six months pregnant with my twins I will treasure forever. During this shoot I spoke with Jenny about a newborn shoot, again this was something I hadn't really planned on doing. Jenny listened to what I liked and disliked and following this conversation I just knew I needed her to photograph my babies when they arrived. Towards the end of my pregnancy I was admitted to Hospital and the twins subsequently ended up arriving early. Jenny was always at the end of an email as I kept her updated and showed flexibility by moving our newborn shoot forward so that we could capture our beautiful babies at 3 weeks old. To say I am thrilled with our final images is an understatement, they are everything I wanted and more. Thank you Jenny for capturing the special milestones in our journey.

Such a warm welcome to begin with, which continued throughout. Our little girl was so relaxed throughout the photoshoot, and the whole experience was lovely for us as first time parents. Before going to see Jenny I knew from her online portfolio that I would be happy with the results. Jenny surpassed all expectation. Its hard to start but in the most positive way! Jenny guided us through the session process from start to finish. She was friendly yet professional. From start to finish, and beyond, Jenny South was an absolute pleasure to work with. I came to her with a half-hearted idea, determined to make it work but full of doubt that it would even be possible. Jenny then did what can only be described as magic - she jumped inside my head, and through all the jigsaw pieces of ideas, threw together something that not only completely embodied everything I had ever envisioned, but she went above and beyond to make the finishing touches just perfect. When I saw the cake smash backdrop sat there in all it's adorable glory, waiting patiently for my baby to take stage front and centre, it dawned on me how much effort Jenny puts into her work and how committed she is to making every experience exactly how you hope it will be. This wasn't just a cake smash photoshoot, it was an experience that I will hold very dear to my heart. Jenny was kind and thoughtful, making sure my daughter was happy and comfortable at all times. Once the shoot was done, I couldn't wait to see the results. Within a week I saw a sneaky peak of what was to come and I wasn't disappointed when an email popped up a few weeks later with the link to my gallery. Ordering the photos was a really simple process and my digital images were with me instantly. I cannot fault Jenny - there are lots and lots of photographers out there who do a wonderful job, but there's just something magical about Jenny that makes me want to go back to her time and time again. Highly recommended, if you hadn't already guessed ;)

Amazing new born shoot, highly recommend Jenny. To begin with I was nervous to do the shoot as I wasn't sure how my daughter would behave would she be crying and make it difficult etc but Jenny really is the baby whisperer, any little outbursts and she had my Bubba super calm within a few minutes. I realised recently that in my camera roll on my phone, I had no photo's of me, my daughter and husband all together. So the next thing I know, I'm down at Ocean Studios in Plymouth's Royal William Yard, having a natter with Jenny about what we'd like to capture. Specialising in maternity and newborn studio shoots, I also knew from following her on Instagram, that she takes to the Great Outdoors throughout the year for seasonal sessions. It was the best decision to work with Jenny for our family beach shoot. She was amazingly discreet, shooting us from a distance, only occasionally giving us some gentle direction when necessary, or suggesting a set-up. How she managed to capture what she did, I'll never know - apart from the group smiles to camera, she followed us around pretty unobtrusively, switching lenses and working her magic. We're super-pleased with the results, plus pleasantly surprised at how enjoyable the whole experience was.

Wow! I’m not quite sure where to start with this review but I’ve been blown away by Jenny’s professional manner in all aspects of her work. She is such a warm and lovely lady who made us all feel at ease as soon as we arrived at our winning photo shoot. My son took to her straight away and she engaged with him, making sure he was happy and enjoying himself throughout the whole shoot. Once the photos were ready to view we were invited back and treated with a beautiful slide show of our photos with a fitting song in the background (and even popcorn!) We loved the shoot and final photographs so much that we booked in for a cake smash for our son’s birthday. We travelled nearly 2 hours just for the shoot (if that doesn’t prove how much we adore her work then I don’t know what will!) Both Jenny and I worked together to create a personalised theme for the shoot, through phone calls, emails and Pinterest boards. She put so much enthusiasm and effort into the planning, it felt like she thought my little boy’s birthday shoot was just as special as I did. And the final outcome was incredible! I will recommend her over & over again and I can guarantee I will be back for another shoot. When someone puts as much passion and love into their work, you just can’t keep away!
