I heard of Matt through multiple recommendations. Matt sent some prices through which were very reasonable and I liked the look of his style from his social media accounts. We met for a coffee..Matt really got to know my husband and I and the kind of thing we were after for our wedding day. I would say I am not the most confident in myself, Matt suggested we did an engagement shoot during this shoot he filled us both with confidence and really relaxed. We felt at ease.. it was like going for a walk with a friend. We were so comfortable and had a laugh. Our engagement photos were stunning and we have received so many compliments from them. We finally got our wedding day and straight away Matt calmed my wedding nerves when I saw him during the morning . I have lost count with the amount of compliments we received about how hard Matt worked, how lovely he was and how he was so easy to be around. Matt has such a kind and warm demeanour. He even took the time to spend some time with our niece as she showed an interest in photography. This guy is so genuine and honest which I really appreciate in a person. We have received our wedding photos back and they are stunning! We have been asked by numerous vendors if our wedding photos could be used for their advertisement. This is credit to Matt. I have been asked by various people who our photographer was. Matt is so good he will get booked up quickly but he will bend over backwards to work with you and timings. We will be using Matt for any future events and family photos. I cannot recommend this photographer enough!

It was Matt’s first wedding back and we were pleased that it was. He was so relaxed and we didn’t even know he was there really, which was great as our wedding was intimate and informal. We are delighted with our wedding photos, and love reliving the day, as all the key moments and laughter has been caught on camera. Matt definitely has an eye for photography and captured our wedding day perfectly. We would fully recommend him. He was great from start to finish, meeting up pre wedding and speedy delivery of the photos to us at the end, and always responsive to any questions we had. Matt is extremely friendly, fun and relaxed. Numerous members of our wedding party commented how lovely Matt was, and he just fitted in with our friends and family. Matt also introduced us to the idea of first look photographs, having our photos pre-ceremony and capturing our first look. This was due to our ceremony being late afternoon in winter. Highly recommend Matt!! We attended a family wedding whereby Matt was the photographer and can honestly say we were amazed by his professionalism and patience at a very large and busy wedding. It was a very hot day and Matt worked tirelessly in guiding the guests efficiently, so to create the images as to the bride and grooms personal specifications. He was a ray of sunshine in what can often be a tiresome part of a wedding when guests are normally pushed and pulled for this picture and that, but Matt was warm, friendly and really engaged with the guests in a confident but light hearted manner. His creativity was apparent in his location shots whereby he took account of the perfect lighting and angles to capture the bride and grooms most personal and sensitive moments on the day. He blended in amongst the guests during the day and evening capturing the most warm, natural moments between friends and family alike. The final pictures really were beautiful and a testament to Matt's creativity and talent. He works hard and truly enjoys his art. We booked Matt 2 years in advance because I had seen some of his work from a friends wedding. He was great from start to finish, letting us pay in instalments which makes life easier.. Matt turned up really early to catch the bridal preparation and nothing was too much trouble. He is so professional and 90% of the day we didn’t know he was there. All the photos are incredible and he wouldn’t be happy unless it was perfect (which is exactly what you want) I would recommend him 100%. Thanks Matt

Whilst searching Google for a Devon Wedding photographer I came across Matt Spooner Wedding Photography. After viewing his portfolio we arranged to meet. Matt came across really well and reassured my partner on any worries she had. We booked Matt that same day. At the wedding Matt fitted in well with the guests. He was very professional and was a pleasure to have around. Shortly after returning from our honeymoon we recieved a call from Matt informing us our pictures were ready. The photography Matt has produced was amazing. The moments Matt caught on camera were beautiful. Matt photographed our wedding. We had a family/engagement shoot as part of the package. The pics were great. It put us at ease for the wedding day too as he wasn't a stranger and being older and curvy, we were a bit camera shy before the engagement shoot. Very easy to get along with, really lovely pictures. Matt was fantastic throughout the entire experience. Beforehand he was happy to explain how he operates and how it would fit in with what we had envisioned. On the day, he was ready and set up before we had even arrived. Everything ran smoothly and he was able to catch some fantastic moments whilst hanging around in the background. However, when we needed some direction (group shots) he was great at getting everyone organised. We didn't have to wait long for the photos to be edited and ready to view. Matt was great, he showed us the photographs and explained some of the techniques and equipment he used; really passionate about his work. Highly recommended, you don’t get a second chance at capturing these moments and you can entrust Matt with doing so.
