Peter was our wedding photographer and right from the initial inquiry he was extremely helpful. A few days before the wedding we had a call and went through all the details for the day, which gave us confidence that things would go smoothly. On our wedding day, Peter was great, organising our guests for the group shots and was charming, professional and discrete. We received our online album 5 days after the wedding and were so pleased with the results - a mix of formally posed pictures and informal photos that captured our day perfectly. We would have no hesitation in recommending Peter.

I highly recommend Peter, he did an amazing job at our wedding, we had the Video and photo combined package and very glad we did, he managed to be unobtrusive throughout whilst getting a quality job done, most guests didn't realise there was video being taken. Quality of the photos is amazing, and the video with combined slideshow great to watch. getting all the digital photo originals to do with what we want was much better than the traditional restrictions you normally get with wedding photography with a limited number of prints etc.. A measure of good service for me is what happens after the event when you have queries/questions and in our case Peter gave some great advice and responded quickly.

We used Peter for our wedding in August 2019 and we could not be happier with the result! We wanted a very relaxed affair but with beautiful pictures that would really capture just how happy we were on our special day. Peter was fantastic and had taken the time to go through each of our family with us, prior to the day so we knew what pictures to expect. From start to finish, he was brilliant; full of knowledge whilst providing a relaxed atmosphere. I was very nervous as photos are not something I typically enjoy, but honestly, it was effortless! After the ceremony and family photos, myself and my husband had our photos. These moments were so precious and now we have the photos that recapture that moment for us. We honestly could not have asked for more. Peter captured every moment for us & it was wonderful to spend time looking through our photos when. We received them. My wife and I hired Peter to shoot our wedding in April 2016 and Peter was extremely professional and friendly and offered plenty of advice on the best shots to have. We met with Peter before hiring him and after that first meeting we knew we had the right person for the job. The care Peter took in showing us example albums and examples of photos was something that impressed us both. We also got along very well with Peter so were happy to hire his services. On the day Peter took amazing, natural photos as well as the great, posed family and friends photos. The photo book and DVD provided to us after were also of the highest quality and Peter let us take control of the layout and pictures that we wanted in the book. I would be more than happy to hire Peter for any future events and have complete trust in his work.

We chose Peter from a shortlist of three photographers on the strength of his reviews and the galleries on his website. His previous photos looked like the best of all three. On top of that, as we were having a Covid-19 wedding (i.e. almost no guests allowed) we wanted a tailor made package rather than a full day’s hire of a photographer. Peter was able to do this for us and for a price we thought was very reasonable. On the day of our wedding, Peter was already at the registry office before us and had spoken to the staff to find out what was the position on the day. We started with photographs prior to the ceremony and during the ceremony. In addition, Peter was more than happy to come along to our house and take further photos there. We have both found the photos to be of a very high standard and we received 87 of them for what was a little over an hour and a half of Peter’s time. The photos are well taken and we are very pleased with them. They were also posted to us on both DVD and USB memory stick as well as being online. I can’t recommend Peter more highly. Very professional indeed!

Due to being so busy, we are only getting round to writing a review 5 months after our wedding. We hope that this helps engaged couples looking for an excellent photographer for their big day! We booked Peter of Ashton Lamont Photography for our wedding in June 2019 at Hartsfield Manor – both to do the photography and the video. We thought that his website showcased his work well and looked very professional. As booking the right photographer for your big day is so important we wanted to speak with Peter personally and see more of his work and he was very accommodating, inviting us to chat with him at his home. We found him to be likeable and very approachable. He listened to our thoughts and informed us about the running order on our wedding day if we booked him. He talked us through contracts and importantly respected our privacy. On the day itself, Peter arrived to set up in plenty of time and captured some pre-wedding shots. He remained inconspicuous throughout the day but directed ourselves and guests when appropriate, remaining calm and professional. We were happy to leave the set required shots to Peter’s judgement which meant we didn’t have to think about things and possibly forget certain shots, but he was also happy to take ideas for photos that we wanted. Peter remained for the period that we had booked him for but was more than happy to extend his stay on an hourly basis should we have wanted him for longer. We are overjoyed with both our photos and video and at no time throughout the process did we find Peter to be rude or ‘pushy’ or indeed push the need to buy wedding albums or a certain number of prints and further services. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Peter to do photography or video and found him to be very professional and offer very competitive prices.

I was thrilled with Peter's work on our wedding day. You know how important it is to capture the essence of the day. Peter was so accommodating for all the group shots we wanted, making sure we didn't miss out any combinations (including getting every single person at the wedding in) AND captured the most lovely natural shots as the day unfolded. Not only this it was one of the hottest days of the year! I cannot recommend Peter enough, he offers great flexible packages to suit all budgets. My husband & I used Peter for our wedding at Wokefield Park in Sep 2018 & have just commissioned & received our beautiful wedding albums from him. In our dealings with Peter before, during and after our wedding, we found him to be very friendly, professional, efficient, experienced & organised. We were particularly influenced in our selection of him by the quality of his photography & eye for the telling, human detail in his photos (as shown by his online portfolio) - and his wedding photos for us did not disappoint. We also selected him for his ability to capture video of key moments alongside the photos, and these are similarly of excellent quality, well-edited with clear & sharp sound & colour. Additionally, when it became clear that our evening festivities were running late & that they would exceed Peter's contracted time, he willingly stayed longer to cover our first (and only!) dance! Although I am expatriate Chinese, I did not feel in anyway uncomfortable in my dealings with Peter and the digital photo slide show (with music mixed with the videos of several important moments from the day) that he produced for us was a centrepiece of the later wedding feasts held for my extended family, friends etc back in China. This slide show was well received and appreciated by my relatives - it gave those who didn't come to the UK wedding a great opportunity to also enjoy this very culturally-different event at second-hand (and it made my father very proud). As such, my husband & I have no hesitation in recommending Peter both for his technical skill and for his attitude.

We gave him a list of what we wanted and he took some natural photos which which are truly amazing.
