I recently had a beach photoshoot with Julie here in Cornwall as part of her 'Women and Water' project. At first, I was a little nervous because I had never posed for a professional photographer before, but Julie proved to be very experienced and she knew very well how to handle the photo shoot so that the camera would not intimidate me. Julie photographed us and our 5 week old daughter recently and I couldn't recommend her highly enough. From the moment we stepped into her comfortable studio Julie made us feel welcome and at ease. She is an expert with babies having previously been a maternity nurse and she immediately helped us with our little one. The shoot itself was amazing, so relaxed and fun. I had a women in water photo shoot! I am not a confident person who likes having their photo done, I just love the water. However having seen my pictures I can’t believe it’s me!! It was So much fun and you can genuinely see me forgetting the camera and just loving one of my most favourite things, the ocean. If you want to see yourself at ease, happy and comfortable and see yourself for who you are in your most comfortable environment do this. I wanted to see me in this environment and I am so happy with what I see!!!! Julie was fantastic and there is no way I look like a busy mum, running a family business and working in the nhs in these photos, I am perceived as a women loving the water and having time to me!!! I visited Julie A Davis Photography for a new born shoot in 2016 with my baby girl at 8 days old. It was a wonderful experience. She spent the whole day with just me and my daughter. I spent slot of the time relaxing whilst Julie worked her magic, except for when I needed to feed. There are many many props to choose from too. I returned at a later date to choose my favourite photos from the shots taken and wow it was very difficult. All so wonderful. I would completely recommend Julie for your photography requirements. Very professional and lovely lady. Extremely patient and amazing at her job 😊

I first met Julie in 2016 when she photographed my son at 4 weeks old. Julie was incredible managing to get him to sleep for all of his poses - something I had not managed myself at that point! Her expertise with babies through her previous experience of working in maternity units was very evident and she made me feel at ease in a very relaxed environment at a time when I was struggling with a newborn! She was also able to provide invaluable advice on sleeping and feeding routines which led to my son eventually sleeping through the night which I am eternally thankful for! When I came to view the photos of the shoot, they did not disappoint either. They were all so beautiful and a wonderful memory of my little bundle of joy for years to come. I subsequently signed up to the VIP baby club and visited Julie again when my son was 8 months and 21 months old. Again she was great with my son and the photos were amazing - so polished and professional. I would definitely recommend Julie to anyone looking for a newborn photographer. Apart from being an amazing photographer, her previous experience with newborns sets her apart from the crowd!

I was recommended to use Julie as our newborn photographer by a friend & I can't believe how fortunate we are to of had Julie photograph our baby boy. My partner was on deployment during my pregnancy but still was able to have his two week paternity leave. I messaged Julie explaining our situation explaining we have very limited time together before my partner was to go back on deployment and would love to have some family photos all together! Julie was fabulous she managed to fit us in so quickly for the shoot and for the review of the photo so my partner could pick his favourites. The shoot was great there were so many props to choose from! Julie was very friendly and warm we were able to sit down relax have a cuppa tea and watch television while she was busy working! We were able to pop through and see how the shoot was going! Julie insisted to changing nappies and feeding our little boy when he woke up in between snaps which was great as he was only a week old and I was a walking zombie!! We have lots of beautiful photos to cherish forever we even joined the baby club so we will be using Julie again for another couple of shoots. I really would highly recommended Julie she's wonderful! We have had 2 photo shoots with Julie, once when our baby was a newborn with her older sister and the 2nd was when she was 7 months old. We were really impressed with how professional Julie is and the choice of props and backgrounds available, she really does cater for everyone. I first got introduced to Julie through a friend when we had a joint maternity shoot with her! I was 38wks pregnant and felt like a whale but she made me so at ease, so much so that I actually got some semi nude shoots which I never imagined ever having! I'm now so grateful that I had this done as they are beautiful photos and it's amazing to see what my body did! I then booked Julie for my son's Newborn shoot. My husband, being in the Navy, was deployed from when I was 8 months pregnant,I couldn't book an exact date with Julie as we had no idea when our son would arrive and my husband only had 2 weeks at home, regardless of when the baby arrived, meaning in theory he might have only got 1 or 2 days with the baby. Julie was extremely flexible with her diary and squeezed us in last minute allowing those very important early pictures of my son with his Daddy. Sadly our older children were at school, so couldn't be in the shoot. My son was 7 months old when he next got to cuddle his Daddy again and Julie has very kindly managed to squeeze us in again at short notice for just after homecoming while the older children as still off school. So that we could all capture us reunited again this time as a whole family. At that session we joined the baby club which we are so excited about as we now get to come back twice more over the next year. Julie; you have been such a massive part of my journey over the last year and I'm so glad I put my trust in you to capture those memories in a way that only you could. Our family will never go to anyone else now to capture these memories. You've made some very dark days bearable through your work, you've also help facilitate that bond between father and son even through 1000's of miles of distance and I can never thank you enough for that! Oh and if the above wasn't enough Julie also gave us military discount!

I highly recommend Julie Davis. She will make you feel very welcome and relaxed. She was amazing at handling my Hugo when he was newborn and recently returned for his 1 year old cake smash photoshoot. She goes above and beyond. She provides everything outfits, props and allow you to relax with a nice tea and biscuit. Whist she takes care of every detail (even changes the nappies. I was so impressed!). Very different experience from usual photoshoots. Her images are exceptional!
