John took the pictures for our winter wedding in December and we were blown away by the pictures and by his professionalism. John's experience in taking photographs shone through as his guidance from our very first discussion helped ensure we got the perfect pictures from our big day. He was particularly helpful in helping us plan the timings for the day to ensure we could fit in as much as possible without feeling rushed! We felt at home discussing our ideas for photographs with him as well as listening to John's ideas after he had done a full reccy shoot on site. On the day of the wedding, John ensured we got all of the photographs we had discussed and kept us to time without being pushy in any way. It felt completely natural to have him taking photos and we spent most of the time laughing together as we took the Bride and Groom shots. Some of the photographs from the wedding were up online from the next day (Christmas Eve!) and we knew then that we were going to have a hard time choosing from all the amazing pictures for our album! We have had numerous friends and family comment on the quality and the set up of the photographs from the wedding. Overall, we cannot recommend him highly enough. He is well worth the cost - we know his pictures will be treasured for many years to come!

We’d definitely recommend John at Altimate Wedding Photography. Our wedding wasn’t the most straightforward in terms of format and weather (we had beautiful snow which made lighting tricky!) but John was hugely professional and a pleasure to have around on the day, capturing the most beautiful pictures. The lead up to the wedding was very organised too, deciding the right photos and locations beforehand. John is a fantastic photographer ! He did our winter wedding in 2013. He is very reasonably priced for the quality he provides I was able to design my own wedding album down to the last image how I wanted it. He also has a great sense of humour and I remember him as the person who kept our day flowing. I also liked the fact that John threw in a freebie for us in our wedding package which I know other photographers would have used to increase the package price dramatically! After our first meeting with John we were very impressed with his work. He was very professional and friendly. He showed us lots of different albums he had already done and we were happy to book him for our big day. He was so reasonable on the price compared to others we had seen. On the day of our wedding he was so organised I dont know how we would have coped without him! He took some lovely photos and produced a wonderful album for us. We also got a disc with all the photos on and a little video of our vows. John added his own personal touches throughout the day... he even asked us what the colour scheme was so he could blend in. Well where to start!! We chose John from Altimate after him being recommended to us by two different people of family friends. We made arrangements to visit John to go through what we wanted, he was very professional letting us look through his work showing us lots of albums he had done!! we were both very impressed at what we had seen!! We didnt hesitate looking elsewhere and booked John immediately. Arrangements were made for us to go again to see john to discuss our wedding day, what he would do and how things would run, we were both extremely happy with everything john had suggested. Up to the our wedding day we had communications with john with regard to any specific photos we would like which we discussed. Our wedding day arrived john came to my home address on time and even dressed to our colour scheme!!! even as our photographer john was so helpful even tieing my dads cravaet and sorting his button hole without hesitation he offered. Throughout the day John was surberb!! all of our guests commented on how great he was. Nothing was too much trouble!! we did have small children in our wedding party and he was absolutely brilliant with them!! we just cant fault anything he did was just absolutely perfect. Some of the photos captured with the surroundings available we had were exceptional!!! John took all pictures that were asked of him and we were very impressed by the number of photos taken on the day. John took care of everything on our wedding day, paying so much attention to detail - we could simply relax and enjoy it! His experience and professionalism is second to none and we couldn't recommend him highly enough to anyone wanting piece of mind that your special day will be recorded in photos!! His prices were very reasonable compared to others we had looked at, but we wanted the best and did truely get just that!!!!!. I can't express enough in words the gratitude I feel for John his lovely wife Rachael - for their help, understanding and patience of a Bride who organised a surprise wedding on a tight budget and a timescale of 4 months - with an eye for detail and the desire for perfection! John was on board with me from the off - he was accommodating and understanding from the moment we met in my work place (to help keep the surprise a secret) - he actually helped me plan and organise things I hadn't thought of! Our Wedding was at 4pm on Feb 14th - meaning a small window of opportunity for photographs outdoors before the light faded and we had to sit down for our wedding breakfast at 6pm - time was of the essence for varying reasons beyond our control and I was concerned that everything would be too rushed. However on The Day all my worries quickly disappeared as John took control with ease organising our guests in very personable manner - he was an absolute delight to be around, he had everyone's attention when he needed it and made the experience very enjoyable for everyone. A professional friend - making sure everything was captured in detail. As a first time Bride at the age of 40 something who cried on the day, I like many other Brides I'm sure - felt that I had rushed up the aisle, without my lippy, and burst in to tears as I reached my husband to be! I couldn't remember hearing the oh so special songs or seeing the all important faces of our family and friends. However, as Paul and I were walking with John to another area for photographs, John asked if we had anything to say for the camera - John had filmed the whole thing without us knowing. I can't tell you how wonderful I felt when I received the video clips he had taken! The collation of our Wedding Album has been a long and drawn out labour of love for me, I am just so fussy and overthink things. John has advices on how to 'tell the story' of our wedding day through our photographs and both he and Rachel have shown extreme patience and understanding as the album has come together. It's taken many, many hours of discussions and work for them both - between February until today; when I have come home and my Husband had been to collect our album. John has added in important details, removed unwanted details, and naturally airbrushed all my worries and concerns away to perfection - lol! Our Album photographs are stunning and presented in a beautiful quality album. I can' t imagine any other Photographer being so helpful and thoughtful in going so far above and beyond what was already an excellent service. We have an amazing album - our story of the day from the beginning - We absolutely love it. We also have the CD's of all our photo's both in colour and black and white and of course our extra unexpected but oh so thankful for - wonderful video clips. Thank you John and Rachel - I recommend you to everyone I know who is looking for a photographer and those who know me ask who I used as they too know from first hand experience how fussy I am. We were first time customers to John and discovered him when browsing the internet for different packages and options. Johns variation in packages/prices along with his easy to read website got us very interested and we arranged a meeting. We decided to use Altimate for our wedding photographs based on the recommendations of a good friend. We found the price very reasonable in comparison with others. The whole process was very efficient and prior visits to locations enabled shots to be pre-planned and discussed. The photographer excelled at organising the guests to obtain the required photographs and carefully followed weather conditions to ensure the very best use of the time available. Formal pictures were supported by a wealth of more relaxed photographs which very much captured the spirit of the day. The photographs were excellent and on being shown a draft album layout we were able to make minor tweaks which resulted in a perfect wedding and parents album.
