Chris was an amazing photographer for our wedding party this year. We had the pleasure of having him photograph our wedding last year during covid and the big party this summer. For both events he always went the extra mile, and the photographs were amazing. We really can’t thank him enough. We would highly recommend Chris to anyone else looking for a wedding photographer. My wife chose Chris for our Sheffield based New Years Eve wedding after trawling in detail though all the Yorkshire photographers she could find. Chris kindly agreed to do this day for us even though he was due to be hosting a new years eve party of his own that evening. He really had the skill of taking natural pictures and went about his job often without us noticing he is there. The pictures were fabulous - especially the last evening shot he set up for us with his remote controlled flash positioned behind us on the band stand. Couldn't have chosen a better photographer. The photos are stunning; so many people have commented on them. We loved the mixture of shots which captured everyone naturally, more formal wedding party photos and some of Chris's more creative ideas! Chris is a highly skilled photographer who shoots stunning, artistic and personalised images. He is both incredibly talented as a photographer and also a very friendly, considerate and conscientious individual. We had an extremely small wedding of only 4 guests, which Chris was more than happy to photograph and seemed excited by the prospect. Due to the small number of guests we was surprised how easy Chris blended into the background when necessary, meaning he was able to take natural shots without us noticing. During our wedding it rained for most of the day, however this was no problem as Chris set up some shots inside using various lighting techniques. Afterwards it stopped raining and we also got some outside shots. Chris has the ability to interpret exactly what was needed from him and was extremely likeable and everyone felt completely at ease around him. Despite ours being a small wedding we received lots of high quality photographs from Chris and felt he was excellent value for money. He was very flexible in his approach to meeting our needs and we felt he definitely went the extra mile. Chris was able to capture the most beautiful moments of our wedding, whilst ensuring we remained relaxed and enjoyed our day. Chris was my wedding photographer in May this year. If you’ve looked at his pictures you’ll know what amazing photos he takes. Just before my wedding I looked through his photos again and panicked that my wedding wouldn’t offer the same photo opportunities as it wasn’t in a traditional wedding venue with a beautiful building. I needn’t have worried: Chris is adept at capturing beautiful photos in any setting. The pre-wedding shoot is a great opportunity to get to know Chris, and to talk through what sort of photos you want him to take on the big day. He’s really flexible and accommodating and he’ll give his expert opinion too to make sure your day runs smoothly and your photos are amazing. It’s definitely worth having a practice shoot as well as it really alleviated any discomfort and awkwardness at having portrait photos taken which I found really weird and uncomfortable, but thanks to Chris the photos were great which really reassured me that the wedding pictures would be great too. I can’t recommend Chris enough; he’s friendly, approachable and extremely professional, and the photos he creates are beautiful. He’s not afraid to organise people in the group shots but at the same time he blends into the background of the wedding and you’d barely know he was there - yet he still captures all the precious moments!

Hiring Chris as our wedding photographer was one of the best decisions we made in the run up to our wedding! His attention to detail, professionalism and warm, calming influence is literally everything you need in a wedding photographer. The moment we met Chris everything just seemed to flow seamlessly. From his attention to detail, the gentle handling of my dress and even the smallest of gestures of knowing everyone’s name in the wedding party made such the difference. When we met for our engagement shoot Chris made the effort to get to know us and our families. He asked for us to think about the moments of the day we wanted to capture and which group shots we wanted so that he didn’t miss a thing. We have attended weddings before where the photographer has been almost too bossy and demanding, this wasn’t the case with Chris, we felt so relaxed and comfortable in the knowledge that he was going to do such a good job. Nothing was a problem and he captured every aspect of the day in such a natural way, it was as though we didn’t even know he was there. We are so in love with the photos, and blown away by his editing skills (especially the speed that we got everything back). Every moment of the day was captured perfectly, even the quick humorous unexpected moments that are often missed, we have them. We now look back at each photo and are instantly taken back to that memory. Although our wedding was relatively large, Chris and George (the second photographer who was also a very polite and professional photographer) managed to get pictures of everyone and really captured the essence of the day. Hiring Chris will be the best decision you can make, never once did we have to worry about the photography. Chris photographed our wedding in the Yorkshire Dales last summer and was fantastic from start to finish. The trial shoot was really useful and also yielded a whole set of lovely pics. On the day Chris was so hard-working, staying til really late and capturing so many extra shots of things it would never have occurred to us to ask him for, documenting little details around the venue. We picked Chris originally after seeing his shots of the Dales scenery and had great fun sneaking off from the reception with him in his car for a photo shoot in a field with some very confused sheep. We ended up with a wonderful set of pics from candid shots and portraits to an amazing wide angle pic of us stood beneath an enormous tree which looks like it should have taken ages to set up but he somehow captured in a few seconds. We’d heard stories from friends who had to wait months for their wedding pics but we had five through by the next afternoon and the full set in a few weeks. Thank you!

Firstly, having read that 1 star review, (which to be honest I couldn't really understand or follow!!), I felt I had to write my review that was long overdue!!! We asked chris to be our wedding photographer a year ago and throughout the entire process he was fantastic. We always knew what was going on and he was so helpful and accommodating in everyway. The pre shoot was fantastic and we really got to know him and it made for lots of amazing pictures. The wedding day itself was incredible and chris captured the entire story of the day perfectly. Everyone has raved about our pictures and we love them and couldn't be happier! He was fantastic and just caught everyone in such natural moments and managed to sneakily photograph all the varying ranges of emotions that everyone goes through on the day. We couldn't have asked for a better photographer and found him to be reasonable in price compared to many others out there! Our only complaint is we now have far too many amazing pictures to choose from for our wedding album.. at this rate we'll have to buy another one!!!! (Horrible situation to be in, I know..! We didn’t know where to start for picking a photographer. You are trying to choose someone to spend a lot of your wedding day with, to be there from getting ready in the morning until the evening’s dancing. The person who will create the record of the day, how you want it to be seen. And we hit the jackpot when we chose Chris. His portfolio and blogs depicted photos with the same energy, carefree light and fun that we wanted our wedding to be.
