Our vet suggested that our 10.5 year old beautiful golden retriever might benefit from some hydrotherapy and gave us Rachel’s details. We are so pleased she did! Rachel is so professional and knowledgable and explained clearly what she would be aiming to achieve and the long term benefits. The whole experience has been very rewarding for Molly as her mobility has definitely improved and she is generally enjoying life more! Would certainly recommend Rachel and 4Point Physio. Thank you so much.

I could not recommend 4 point physio enough.
I was having real issues with my 7 year old English bull terrier, Lexi. On several occasions she’d wake up in the morning, shaking and refusing to move! After a long process of finding out what was wrong through trials and x-rays, it was determined that she had bridging osteophytes (also known as bone Spurs) in her spine.
As it’s not an area you’d want to operate on, the general option was pain medication for life when she has a flare up. I don’t mind this, as it is in the best interest of my beloved dog, but I also wanted to explore other options to help with her mobility as she ages.
I’d heard of hydrotherapy in the past in my work as a horse riding groom and instructor and figured I’d give it a try!
After looking at the glowing reviews, reasonable price and perfect location of 4 Point Physio I eagerly applied. When I was accepted and arrived with Lexi we met Rachel…she was already well versed on Lexis case and her condition and was extremely knowledgeable about what she recommended to be done. A plan of action was laid out and Lexi had 6 sessions on the treadmill, homework with exercises and a review before each session with notes taken.
I can’t begin to express how thorough Rachel was with her holistic approach to Lexis condition. She looked at her diet, exercise, history, home life and general happiness. She treated Lexi as if she was her own dog and showed her nothing but patience and care.
Rachel was straight forward and honest at how much treatment she would actually need and didn’t oversell anything. Everything she does is well thought out and in the best interest of the animal she is working with.
The best part is that since doing hydrotherapy with Rachel, Lexi has not needed any painkillers and has been more lively, happy and healthy.
I couldn’t recommend 4 Point and Rachel enough for what she has done for Lexi and I’ll happily come again and again whenever Lexi needs it.

4 Point Physio have been excellent in treating our dog Rocco with his spinal cord injury which resulted in his right leg becoming paralyzed. Rachel was so patient with Rocco, and catered to his every need to ensure he was comfortable.. She really helped build his confidence with being in the water and his leg has improved massively after weekly sessions. They also provided us with lots of information, help and support with doing physio at home. I would highly recommend.

Otis had a fantastic experience at 4 point after cruciate surgery.
Rachel and the team were so lovely to him (and me) and he enjoyed his sessions so much that he would squeak with excitement when we pulled up.
He's doing great now, despite having another dodgy leg, but a massive improvement following his op.
Thanks so much x

Been a delight working with Rachel over 8 sessions to help our lab who recently got diagnosed with elbow dysplasia. Even for our water loving dog, being put into a glass tank with a moving floor was worthy of some caution, but Rachel was incredibly experienced in building trust and introducing her to the experience, such that by the third session, she was waiting at the door to begin her session. More broadly, Rachel not only showed exceptional expertise, but a clear passion and love for animals big and small and our Labrador would get so excited every wee when she found out she was going to see Rachel - hydrotherapy is far better than walkies!

Rachel has been amazing with Lucky, very caring and asks lots of questions to get to the root of the problem. Lucky is awaiting surgery but will definitely be going back for his recoupment- highly recommend 👍

My dog Ubu ruptured her cruciate ligament and after her operation we went to see Rachel and had hydrotherapy that was a couple of years ago, then more recently she did the other one and they saw her in again to have more hydrotherapy to aid her recover, this time it was with Kath, both lovely caring people and very good with Ubu … thank you both!

My Cockapoo needed emergency spinal surgery in June which resulted in her having to learn to walk again. Having hydrotherapy has been pivotal to her recovery. Rachel is knowledgeable and goes the extra mile to find solutions to any problems your dog may be going through to help aid recovery. Pudding didn't like water but her confidence grew over the weeks and she was so excited to have cuddles with Rachel each time we arrived. Highly recommended <3 Thank you for improving Pudding's future xx

6 weeks of physio and my Lottie dogs tendonitis is hugely improved, well worth it. Rachel was both professional and friendly and Lottie was so excited to see her each time and do the work. Rachel did a thorough assessment before each session to check progress and also gave us homework inbetween that was easy and achievable. Definitely recommend and will use again if ever required.

I can’t believe what an incredible difference Rachel and the physio program has done for our dog Lilo! After having spinal surgery to correct a slipped disc Lilo had fortunately made a good recovery and was able to walk, although her back legs were still unsteady and uncoordinated. After six sessions she’s made incredible progress and is back to how she was before the slipped disc. Lilo really enjoyed the sessions and will be disappointed that she doesn’t need to go back for any more!

My two dogs, Coco and Fifi, both needed cruciate surgery. Following their operations I took them to Rachel for hydrotherapy treatment - she was really kind and patient with them as they weren't too enthusiastic about getting into a tank of water! The treatment really aided their recovery and I'm very grateful that Rachel looked after them so well

As ever Rachel has been amazing with helping us post surgery. Over the last 3 1/2 years we have had 3 separate courses of treatment with Rachel for our dog Sasha and she has been brilliant every time. Even through all the restrictions of Covid she has still been able to help Sasha post cruciate ligament surgery and we are back to being able to enjoy long muddy walks together. Sasha’s always happy to see her and would sing at the top of her voice to Rachel at the beginning of each session.
Thank you Rachel, hopefully this will be the last time and we will just get to see how your getting on through Facebook etc from now on!! 😂

Rachel is a fantastic physiotherapist. I brought my Westie to have hydrotherapy/physio to rebuild a loss of muscle mass in his hind leg after having cruciate ligament surgery. He is quite a scared little dog when he meets anyone new. Rachel was brilliant with him within approx 7 sessions he had increased his muscle mass and was walking so much better I was given some excercises to do with him I cannot believe how much he improved and by the end he was so confident with Rachel he really looked forward to seeing her thank you to a truly caring and knowledgeable lady Rachel your a credit to your profession I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending you 😊

Excellent customer service and amazing staff. My little frenchbulldog a 2 year old lilac had an accident which lead to having a spinal injury and was suggested by the veteran she had a slipped disc. I was offered 3 possible choices and as sugery was not an option for me due to the price of surgery or to put my bella to sleep that was certainly not an option. So i decided to take my little bella to physio and hydrotherapy. Bella has had 9 sessions in total and has absolutely loved it and has helped her started walking again as when she first started she couldnt even stand and now she is walking however still needs recovering time but i am now able to take bella to the park and she can stand up and sit down again. Bella did hydrotherapy and had laser treatment every session and improved every week and also gave me some homework to do at home. Thank you Rachel and Kath you are amazing dedicated people and your passion for dogs really shows - i would highly recommend this company and for anyone in Birmingham, as its not far at all from the city centre. Excellent service for spinal injury rehabilitation for dogs - thank you again

Excellent!! I was referred to Rachel at 4point from another physio who recommended i try hydrotherapy with my dog (Remi) to help with her Hip Dysplasia. Rachel recommended we do a 4 week course to begin with and then follow with bi weekly appointments!
My dog went in to hydrotherapy with very lame hind legs and was hardly weight bearing!
Remi responded to the hydrotherapy brilliantly, she’s like a new dog!!! & Rachel is so patient with her even when she’s being a little awkward.
Would highly recommend using 4 point physio.

Our dog, Blue, a blue staffie saw Rachel for hydro therapy once a week for nearly 3 months. He had torn a ligament in his shoulder and was limping very badly. Rachel was amazing with Blue and the hydro therapy worked really well. Blue soon got the hang of what he had to do - as long as there were plenty of treats to hand! Rachel also did some laser treatment on his shoulder too. We are now at the end of September and he isn’t limping anymore 👍. He’s back to his normal bouncy self. He also looks like he’s bulked up a bit too 💪. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend 4 Point Physio.

Our 8 year old Shih Tzu Millie was diagnosed with Invertebral Disc Degeneration in 2019, this was in addition to her lifelong hip dyplasia and stunted ulna growth.
In September last year she was admitted to Willows with chronic invertebrate disc extrusions. Upon discharge it was suggested that hydrotherapy may be beneficial for her.
I contacted 4 Point Physio after a recommendation from a friend.
Rachel and Katherine were superb with Millie, who doesn't like water.
The initial session on the treadmill was not a success as Millie became quite stressed on it.
Rachel suggested that the pool may be better for her so we moved there . Although initially Millie would be reluctant, once in, she developed a lovely swimming action .
Rachel was extremely patient with her always, and Millie loved going there.
The sessions strengthened Millie's spine and muscles and visibly improved her posture. She is now able to walk further, is on minimal pain relief and our Vet is amazed at her physical improvement.
I cannot praise Rachel and Katherine highly enough. Both were friendly, knowledgable and extremely professional and all sessions were conducted in an extremely Covid safe environment.

We took our dog Bobby to have treadmill water hydrotherapy. Rachel took time to make him feel comfortable as he was very scared of water. After just a few sessions he absolutely loved being in the water couldn't believe it . She showed us some exercises that we could continue to do at home as well. He had had a spinal operation and wasn't walking well but after his sessions with Rachel he was so much better. And Rachel was so good with him Jenny and laurance

My dog had a torn ligament and was unable to walk properly as she got tired really easily. Rachel firstly took time to get to know my dog, understand the issue and offer the right treatment.
Rachel was absolutely fantastic with my dog throughout her course of treatment and I noticed a difference after her first session! My dog is now able to walk as much as she did before her injury and I couldn’t thank 4pointphysio enough!

I've been taking my large arthritic rescue dog to 4 Point Physio for about 6 months now and I'm very happy with the experience. My dog is very sensitive and is usually very nervous when visiting a vet. However he has had such a positive experience being treated by Rachel that he always gets excited as soon as we arrive at the location.
The treatment has also been really beneficial for his arthritic joints and hip displasia. He's managed to loose weight and build strength around his joints. We've even been able to reduce the amount of medication that he was taking to control pain. Our daily walks have also improved now that he is fitter and pain free :)

I took my 7 year old Siberian Husky (Logan) to hydrotherapy after he tore his 2nd cruciate ligament and undergoing TPLO surgery. The muscle in his leg had weakened and was visibly smaller due his injury. The vets recommended I take him for hydrotherapy sessions to help build the muscle and strength in his back leg. I took Logan here once a week for around 3 months and within just weeks I could see the benefit. Rachel was fantastic at keeping Logan calm (considering he is not a fan of water) and after a couple sessions he seemed to be a natural! She also gave advice on some home exercises which would help build his strength. I would definitely recommend 4 Point Physio, the facilities are great and so are the staff! 🙂

I took my staffy cross, Maisie to Rachel when she developed back problems, including hip dysplasia and later, a slipped disc. I cannot praise Rachel enough for what she has done for Maisie. I now have a happy, 12 year old dog who is active and enjoying life to the full. The facilities at 4 Point Physio are first class but it is Rachel that is the star of the show. She is kind, patient and gentle and is clearly highly skilled in what she does. Maisie trusts her completely and so do I. If your pet has a problem that requires physio, Rachel is the person to go to.

I’ve been taking Mollie our cockapoo to see Rachel at 4 Point Physio for about 4 months. Mollie was diagnosed with tendon damage to her right foreleg. Mollie has been having regular appointments comprising underwater treadmill, physio and laser treatments.
Mollie is always very excited to see her ‘Auntie’ Rachel and has a lovely rapport with her. I’ve been very impressed with the care and attention to detail shown by 4 Point Physio, as well as the comprehensive guidance given in relation to the ‘home care’ programme, in between appointments.
We feel Mollie could not be in better hands and would wholeheartedly recommend 4 Point Physio.
Thanks Rachel.

Rachel has started helping my 9 year old Rottweiler Bear following recent spinal surgery. He has previously had TPLO on both knees a bilateral framiotomy and laminectomy plus arthritis so she has her work cut out. Bear has really taken to the water treadmill and exercises she suggested. Having previously used Wet Paws hydrotherapy with Bear to great results i was lucky that they suggested Rachel to me this time for more indepth treatment and i wasnt disappointed.

Our dog badly hurt her rear leg ligament and the vets said pills or a drastic £2000.00 operation. I found 4 Point Physio by chance through ACPAT and thank goodness, decided to phone. Rachael came to the house which was great as our dog is terrified of anything like a vet's and immediately bonded with her. The advice and treatments she gave us were excellent. You can tell she really knows her stuff! Her charges are very reasonable too, so I would recommend anyone give her a call or email and book an appointment as soon as there is a problem, the earlier the better, as I am sure less damage would have been done if we had seen her at the same time as the vet. She is now on the mend. Many thanks!

Rachel and Kathryn have done a brilliant job assessing and treating Isla`s complex orthopaedic problem, reducing her pain and increasing her mobility. She is so happy! As am I. I recommend them very highly.

Our gorgeous girl - Miss Mollie Zaba - is a Cockapoo who's been 'through the mill' since being diagnosed with a painful condition - Immune Mediated Polyarthritis (IMPA) - back in January 2016.
Following extensive steroid treatment, including a relapse, over a period of 14 months, Mollie looked to have finally overcome the potentially crippling IMPA, but then, to our horror, began hobbling and limping again.
Thankfully she was diagnosed as having a soft tissue injury - a canine groin strain or small muscle tear - in her left hind leg. Painful and debilitating, but NOT IMPA!
Even so, it needed addressing and we were advised to seek specialist physiotherapy treatment.
So, where to start?
We were oh so fortunate to come across 4 Point Physio and Rachel Cartwright in the early stages of our search.
Rachel has been caring for Mollie Zaba and aiding her gentle recovery via strength and balancing exercises, massage therapy, along with electro-magnetic pulse treatments.
Recently we've progressed to hydrotherapy sessions to help Mollie strengthen the problematic hind leg, as she progresses back to full health.
Vets and veterinary specialists obviously play a major part in helping our animals in times of need, but never underestimate the benefits and qualities that animal physiotherapy bring 'to the party'.
4 Point Physio has made a world of difference in Mollie Zaba's carefully managed and sustained recovery, and we cannot speak highly enough of Rachel.
If you're in need of physiotherapy support and expertise for your pet, we would thoroughly recommend Rachel Cartwright as your first port of call.
Thanks Rachel from Miss MZ
