Reviews of Brighton Physiotherapy & Sports Therapy
Z. C.
Dr Zoe Campbell - ICU consultant and Ultra athlete
I received a thorough and comprehensive assessment from Jamie after experiencing knee post 5 years post complete rupture of my hamstrings.
I was told by my surgeon that I would never run another marathon or do another Ironman, but with Jamie’s help, advice and expertise I’ve just ran Brighton marathon and have booked an ultra marathon for a few months time. He excellent and a lovely person too! Very happy!

After sustaining a fully ruptured achilles, and much researching of local physiotherapists, I decided on Brighton Physiotherapy & Sports Therapy. I am really happy with the therapy I have received so far. Jamie works on the whole body, which means that I felt I was getting advice, not only on how to manage my injury, but on how to limit the chance of further issues going forward. This holistic approach was immensely valuable to me, particularly in a mental and emotional capacity, which I think is often left out when talking about the body. This mental support was key to building my confidence to aid my rehabilitation, and to remind me of my challenges and triggers.

Game changing. I've had multiple injuries recently and numerous physios trying to sort them out but to no avail. Jamie took a unique, yet evidence-based approach to treating me which has rectified my issues and got me back to playing the sports I love. Whatsmore, Jamie's approach is to support your physical and mental lifestyle, meaning I now take much better care of my body and are less likely to get injured in the future. Thanks Jamie!

I could not recommend Jamie highly enough! As a former semi-pro footballer, I went to see Jamie with a list of legacy football injuries that I thought I would always suffer with. Using a holistic mix of techniques and approaches, Jamie has helped immeasurably to improve my wellbeing, fitness, performance and energy levels. I have never met a sports therapist who reads imbalances in the body as well as Jamie does or who thinks as deeply about the factors which can affect his client's fitness and wellbeing. I would recommend those with acute injuries see Jamie but equally those who want to understand their bodies better and make subtle improvements will also benefit from hugely from his sessions.

Fantastic service and Jamie really knows what he is doing. As an electrician/volleyball player, I am prone to plenty of knee, back, shoulder and neck issues and not only is my body feeling less pain, but my performance on the volleyball court has definitely improved. Would highly recommended for anyone that wants a working body!

I went to see Mark with pain in my wrist and thumb. I had previously seen a hand surgeon in London and the difference in approach was unbelievable. Mark's holistic approach has set me on a path to a more relaxed and strong body all round. He has given me so much advice and information so I can really work between sessions to keep developing a healthy body and mind. Now I can play the piano with much more freedom and far less tension!

I can’t express how grateful I was to find a physio who was so much more than just a physio.
Jamie looks at the person, as a whole to treat pain.
Pain might seem isolated in one area. But it’s not. So when you’ve got a persistent joint pain that just won’t respond to other physio efforts, it needs tackling in other areas. Jamie takes the entire body into account, thorough and committed in his holistic approach to pain.

Jamie is a physio like no other.
His experience and physio treatment goes beyond that of solely musculoskeletal problems. He took time to understand my history and in some further sessions was able to understand my actual needs (as I did in his techniques), to get to the root of the problem.
He treats patients holistically, looking at all aspects of the person that could be causing/contributing to the problem. With me I have been able to overcome the fear of landing on my left knee, which sustained a heavy ACL and Cartilage trauma and operation years ago. Now, having had help to deal with/face the trauma and the fear it caused, I am moving fearlessly. I have an improved range of motion and a much more positive mental outlook because of these sessions

I originally started seeing Jamie for a sprained ankle and a couple of other minor sports injuries, that I hadn't been able to tackle for years, going to multiple doctors and physiotherapists. Jamie helped me understand how trauma and stress of the mind can negatively affect your body physically. After one session with him I felt instantly better, and after seeing him regularly for a few months my body has never felt so good and so strong. Jamie's approach is different but incredibly affective. Not only has he 'fixed' all my aches and pains but has aided in making me the happiest I have been in years. I cannot recommend him enough, he will change your life!

I had pain and severely restricted movement in hand/shoulder/neck linked to a tennis injury - I saw Mark, and even before our first consultation the (free) advice and resources he pointed me to over the phone provided some relief. We worked together for a handful of sessions and by the end I had no more pain or issue, and more importantly had the knowledge of what i would have to do to keep things that way - the responsibility now being on me to continue with strength, breathing and flexibility exercises Mark showed me. If i ever have an issue in future which requires a physio i will come back to these guys without hesitation.

I saw Mark back in July 2021 for hip pain that wouldn't go away and stop me from doing exercise, in particular running. I had really dug myself into a hole and was so frustrated with the continued pain. Seeing Mark was a real eye-opener for me - I realised my pain was actually related to stress and that's why it behaved so irrationally. Mark's thoughtful advice helped me to understand the cause and from there, to recover. I also found Mark's recommendations for further reading really inspiring - far beyond just getting me back into running. Thanks Mark!
P. S.
I came to Jamie to see if he could help with some knee injury issues which my current physio seemed a little stuck with. I have to be honest, that Jamie's approach seemed odd at first compared to past physio work but he appeared very confident with his view on what was happening so I thought "why not?" In one session, not only did I learn a lot more about the causes of my knee issues, but I was given practical advice on how to help them heal. The knees felt better on just one session and I only actually had a few more sessions before I was back running too and without any injuries. I would heartily recommend. Jamie is friendly, passionate and very approachable.

I walked into Brighton Sports Therapy hardly able to walk after a wakeboarding injury. After only a few weeks Jaime worked miracles and even had me running to work again. Jaime's holistic outlook is recommended to anyone with a chronic injury or just wanting to stay active in later life.

I first met Jamie around November last year with debilitating pain all over and was in complete despair on how to treat it. Jamie has a very different philosophy to conventional physio and has taught me a completely new approach and theory behind what’s causing my problems. I’ll admit I was a little skeptical at first but it has undoubtedly worked so his approach was bang on.
I am a convert. Highly highly recommend!

I have, so far, only had 2 sessions with Mark related to recovery from a quad injury and he has made me connect with my body in ways I never knew was necessary. I have suffered from countless injuries in my lower body during my time playing football, and some I am still dealing with now. However, Mark has not only given me certain tasks to carry out such as, yoga, meditating, general breathing exercises, but has educated me into understanding why flexibility and mobility is so important in day-to-day life, not just when injured. I have an understanding of pain during recovery and how our bodies connect to our minds. He has been super friendly and patient with me, I can't thank him enough and I believe he will truly help me into getting back playing football in no time. I would recommend Mark and Brighton Sports Therapy to anyone!! :)

Jamie's work with me has been life-changing. I know that sounds dramatic, but I really mean it. His patience with me and approach is admirable. Jamie really did understand what was going on, at a time when it seemed like nobody did. As a keen hobbyist in Jiu Jitsu, I was stopped in my tracks when I had a variety of pains which had left me unconfident in my own body, and very anxious. I had been trapped in the cycle and it would take the unique approach of unravelling the mind and body, for me to gradually get better over many months. I'd personally recommend this service for those who are focussed on pain, living a limited life due to the fear surrounding their pain and who are open-minded to the chance that their emotional state is fuelling the pain.
J. D.
What’s in a calf? Yes…you’re right…muscle. But, in my case, also decades of trauma, apparently. I’m a runner and for years I’ve suffered with calf trouble in varying guises. I knew I had issues with my right leg, having suffered a double fracture of my tibia and fibula in my late teens and a fractured ankle in my late 30s. What I had underestimated, however, was the connection between the trauma itself, the physiological effects and the mind. Who connected this all together, you ask? It was Jamie. Yes, I went in with a calf problem, but I came away with a lot more, in a good sense. Through Jamie’s methodical and sometimes innovative approach, he re-set the movement patterns in not just my calf but the rest of my body. Freeing the movement patterns elsewhere allowed my lower leg to give up the trauma it had evidently been storing for years. In a sense, he also re-set mind to allow it to better understand and listen to my body. The net result is that is that I feel I’m running stronger and more freely than I have done for years. If you want to get to the heart of the problem you have, and not just on a physical level, then Brighton Sports Therapy is the place for you. You’ll need an open mind and to commit to the treatment and advice. But, if you do, I think you’ll come away with more than you go in for – I can’t recommend highly enough.

After years of chiropractic and physio, I finally found Jamie. In a couple of years he has achieved more than I ever thought possible. My dropped arches have been corrected, leading to realignment and improved walking. My back is much straighter where there was marked and rather ugly hunching of one shoulder. The rotator cuff problem, of many years standing, seems to have gone away and an aching shoulder is a thing of the past. He is working on painful thumbs, also long standing, and I no longer believe that I have arthritis. Jamie has helped me in other ways too. His holistic approach allows clients to understand what's gone wrong and participate in their own healing. He is also a very likeable person to know and cares intensely about helping. Put simply, the man's a magician.

My first appointment with Jamie was in October 2015. I had a nasty contact injury playing football months earlier, but the pain didn't subside, and after being assured by my GP that it was nothing serious, I sought help.
I’d had my share of traditional sports physio over the years, with mixed results, so on this occasion I decided to try something different. I was in tune with Jamie's methods from the word go and I liked the way he explained the techniques he was using and how treating one part of the body impacted another. After my first couple of sessions the difference was huge. I was left with only residual pain, which was a huge relief after five months of restricted movement.
It was this improvement that encouraged me to sign up to the Brighton half marathon in February 2016 to aid my recovery and to put my knee to the test. Just over a year later and I've completed my second half marathon, I'm running comfortably twice a week and am looking to start playing football again.
The treatment I have received from the team at Brighton Sports Therapy has completely transformed my view of traditional physiotherapy and opened my eyes to how effective treatment can be if you are willing to take a different approach.
I cannot recommend Jamie, along with his colleagues Stuart and Sam, highly enough. First and foremost they have done an incredible job on my knee as I am now fully recovered, but they are also helping my pregnant wife through her recovery from a fractured femur last year, and she has seen a huge positive change in her freedom of movement.
Whether you are into sport or not, whatever your injury, book in to see a member of the team at Brighton Sports Therapy for a session and you will see results.

I came to Jamie and Brighton Sports Therapy after being told by my GP that I had suffered a recurrence of of a previous hernia and needed another hernia operation (3rd in 10 years!). Keen to explore an alternative route to more surgery, Jamie initially provided a thorough assessment and treatment along with recommended daily exercises which four months later has enabled me to continue playing football, tennis and other physical activity without any adverse impact on my hernia and will hopefully mean I can avoid the surgeon's knife again! I would throughly recommend him for anyone who finds themselves in a similar situation

Jamie was recommended to me by a very good friend and I just have to say his expertise is worth the drive from London to Brighton.
I can not say enough about how he has helped me. Always very professional and thorough I am more than happy give Jamie a 5 star rating.

I went to the clinic suffering from a very intense pain that suddenly affected my leg/hip during a running session. The pain was to such an extent I could barely stand, walk, or even lift anything. Because of a previous medical condition to my other hip, I needed to pin my hopes on some good hands, and, accordingly to the many enthusiastic reviews, Brighton Sports Therapy seemed to be a cut above. This turned out to be a great choice indeed. I have to admit I was a bit skeptical at the beginning, but a couple of sessions were enough to clear up any doubt. Improvements have been quite impressive from one session to another and within a few months, I have been gradually able to walk and run again with no pain, acquiring a better posture too. Both Sam (for the very first sessions) and Jamie (later on) have shown a very professional approach, explaining the whys and wherefores of their next moves. But what really blew my mind and positively surprised me, was the attention to the "emotional side of the pain" which came alongside the actual physical therapy. Jamie really highlighted the importance of breathing and how emotions can affect the functionality of the body, something I was aware of, but I had somehow underestimated. As an added value, both Sam and Jamie have been very welcoming, making me feel at ease from the very first moment and happy to engage in a friendly conversation while going through the session.
I am really grateful to Jamie for the job done and would definitely go back to his clinic if needed.

The treatment I have received from Mark has been amazing. Having suffered from knee, hip, back and foot pain for many years which was preventing me from doing what I love best: walking, I was feeling pretty down. A holistic approach appeals to me, but I've been very impressed at how effective the therapy has been: after only three sessions I've made vast improvements and I've got my quality of life back. I couldn't recommend Mark enough, I just wish I'd found him sooner!

I visited Jamie with ankle pain that was preventing me from running. He soon connected this to on- going knee and hip problems. His myofascial massage was incredibly affective from my first visit. All my aches and pains have gone, my posture is improved and I’m dealing with the stresses and strains of life far more effectively. I’m not saying I understand how it works but I know it worked for me.

I have used Brighton Sports Therapy several times now. The place itself is very nice - the receptionist is very helpful and I also get a nice cup of tea ! The room itself is very clean and bright - a genuninely relaxing environment.
Jamie is very professional and really knows his stuff. Good to know.
Most importantly he gets results quickly. When I first saw Jamie, my core was a mess. After the first session i felt loads better. The impact this had on my walking and posture was amazing.
I would certainly recommend; his approach and knowledge is second to non in my opinion.

I'd been struggling with hip pain for months even after trying chiropractors and various physios none of whom were able to properly diagnose or treat my injury. I wasn't sure what to expect when I went to Brighton Sports Therapy and was skeptical this would be any different from previous experiences. However, I was completely wrong. As soon as I met Jamie and had my first session with him he fully understood my issues and over the course of only a few sessions did what all the previous people had failed to do: take away my pain, improve my mobility and get me back running again (without pain). I can't recommend Jamie and team at Brighton Sports Therapy enough. If you're struggling with pain and no other options are working or you don't feel you're getting closer to a solution with your current therapist, I would highly recommend giving them a shot.

I am so glad to have found Brighton Sports Therapy. Having been to several physio's over the years I was pleasantly surprised to find that the approach undertaken by Jamie and his team was one of a more holistic nature that went above and beyond what I have experienced in treatments previously.
For my injury, this involved looking beneath the initial symptoms and delving into both physical and emotional stresses that may have also played their part. The 90 minute appointment system works so much better than a typical appointment as it allows the therapist to work really deeply on the issues, working in harmony with your body rather than providing a textbook treatment.
Whether your injury is simple or complex I highly recommend visiting Jamie and his team at Brighton Sports Therapy.

First visited Brighton Sports Therapy and had my first consultation with Jamie 5 or 6 weeks ago following an achillies injury. I've had a number of sessions with Jamie and also Mark since and can honestly say they are fantastic.
Jamie's diagnosis was very comprehensive pinpointing specific issues which have led to my injury. After the first session there was definite improvement in my injury and it has been improving rapidly over the last few weeks. I have a huge level of confidence in the approach to physio that is taken here, looking at the full picture and not just blindly focusing in on the area of the injury in question.
Very personable and open to discussion, Jamie explains everything very clearly without any medical jargon and the sessions are even enjoyable (even if sometimes uncomfortable from the poking and prodding!).
If you are looking for a good physio I would strongly recommend the team here.

Jamie is an excellent sports therapist. I went to see him with a running injury that stopped me in my tracks. From the first session Jamie took a broader, more holistic view than I was used to and looked to identify and correct the imbalances that either led to my injury or resulted from it. I saw Jamie regularly for a short period of time and saw the progress clearly with each session. At all times he gave me realistic estimated of how many more sessions I would need. Before I knew it, not only was the injury healed but I felt more stable, balanced and stronger than before. Aside for the treatment itself, Jamie also gave good overall advice about increasing my running volume again post-injury and trying to prevent similar, future problems. I would recommend Jamie to anyone.

Despite being 23 I have had back problems for the better part of those years. I have seen various physiotherapists throughout my life, but none have come close to helping me as much as Jamie. He takes a very holistic approach to his treatment, making sure at every step that I knew what he was doing - and what he was aiming to achieve by doing it. He doesn't try, as I have experienced with other therapists, to confuse his clients with medical jargon, opting instead to explain himself in a way that is accessible to laymen.
Jamie has constantly provided excellent treatment, and I would, without a doubt, recommend his serviced to anyone with ailments in need of some physiotherapy.

Jamie was recommended to me after a serious skiing accident and with his help I have made a full recovery. Although my natural choice may have been physiotherapy, I saw how he helped my neighbour after a motorbike accident and I have been delighted with the progress I made after each session. I have used physio for various sports related injuries previously. Sometimes these have required a lot of exercises at home, however with Jamie, it seems that the main work is done by him during the session. A delighted customer!

I went to see Mark Gilmore to receive treatment on a torn adducter muscle. What I came out with was a complete transformation on my outlook on how I approach active sports. Every match or active session I previously participated in would be followed by a day or two of muscle and joint pain. Not only has my fairly serious injury has healed in a shorter timescale than I expected but the post exercise pain has disappeared. I feel the longevity of me staying active for many years to come has increased significantly. A superb holistic approach looking at root cause of issues rather than a band aid to fix shorter term. Led me to improving my performance with less effort and better decision making. Hugely impressed by the strengething, breathing and flexibility training methods used. Excellent service.

I had ACL reconstruction on both my knees about 4 years ago and have had endless issues with pain and discomfort due to my still very active and extreme lifestyle. I went to Brighton Sports Therapy in July to get some help before a big climb i had in the Himalayas a couple of weeks ago. From my first visit i noticed an instant improvement, it was the first time my knees felt like they had once done before surgery and they only felt stronger after each session. Jamie was very welcoming and made me feel very comfortable. Thanks for all your help and ill see you next year after iv broken myself snowboarding for 18 weeks :)

After trying physiotherapy, osteopathy and other sports massages with no real progress for 16 months but including problems with back, shoulder, neck and leg pain going back 15 years, I have for the first time started to make huge progress to recovery. I can vouch for Jamie, Sam and Mark having a wealth of knowledge and understanding of the recovery process as well as how to maintain happy and healthy muscles.
If you feel like you've tried every tried every treatment with no real affect, give these guys a call. Both of my parents who have had chronic back and shoulder pain with endless failing treatments have also made massive leaps forward with these guys.
Thanks for everything and ill be making many more recommendations .

Last year I started playing tennis again for the first time in many years which was brilliant, what wasn't brilliant was the re-ignition of an old shoulder injury. After a quick search on the internet I found Jamie and Brighton Sports Therapy.
Over the months I've been visiting Jamie he's been able to get me back on the court with steady and consistent improvement after every session. I'm now trying to find other ailments for Jamie to fix!
Can't recommend visiting Jamie enough, apart from being a thoroughly great guy he's a total expert in what he does.

I am so happy I found Brighton Sports therapy. After having my second child at the age of 33 the last thing I expected was to become reliant on drugs to be able to move. Getting Rheumatoid arthritis really took its tole on me both physically and mentally. Jamie has helped me in more than one way. Using a progressive approach he has not only helped me manage my pain, symptoms and mood from rheumatoid arthritis, but it has also gone much deeper in to treating other elements I did not know we're an issue. Thanks to Jamie and his forward thinking approach and his enthusiasm in treating the whole body and mind as one, not just the problem area, I am able to be a mobile and happier mummy living with RA. With out a doubt I would highly recommend a visit for any pain you may have both physically and mentally not just sports injuries. LK Brighton

Jamie,
Is brilliant he managed to get rid of most of the pain which I've had for 2.5 years. He is very personable and easy to talk to about all aspects of what is affecting you. I would throughly recommend him. Ian

Jamie (and Lola) have been instrumental in my back recovery. I cannot recommend them enough. With a blown disc and hyper mobility, I have gone from being in constant pain, unable to train and wanting to actually have surgery, to now being practically pain free and able to do all of my training and more!
I have been to many physios but none of them were able to help. Jamie was able to help me using his considered style of physio and treatment, with concise exercises and stretching. He also helped me with the realisation of pain, how to manage it and how not to be afraid of it, thereby giving me the confidence to do what I wanted to do.
I feel amazing. I am back on my bike, running, swimming and now training on Olympic Rings! My ability to do this is down to Jamie and I am truly grateful.
B. T.
I suffered from medial shin splints on and off for the best part of a decade and had tried several physios and sports therapists before reading a blog of Jamie's on shin splints and deciding to take the plunge.
Best thing I ever did.
From around 8-12 sessions, they've all but disappeared and I can run and play sport again with no discomfort. Although it took that long to completely get rid of them (and a couple of other niggles), I was definitely seeing results after the first session.
Jamie is a really knowledgeable, friendly and professional physiotherapist who has mastered his trade. I couldn't recommend him more highly.
B. K.
I picked up an IT band knee injury while training for the Brighton marathon this year that prevented me running any more than 5-10k without serious pain. I'd all but given up hope of running the marathon after trying various things to fix it without success. I started seeing Jamie less than 6 weeks before the marathon and after about 3-4 session I was able to run a lot further with much less pain. By the day of the marathon, my knee felt almost completely better, and I ran the whole thing with no knee pain at all! I don't claim to fully understand everything Jamie does, but it definitely works. Amazing stuff & highly recommended!

Okay so it's not everyday you visit a sports therapist for Asthma relief but Jamie's treatment gave me an incredible increase in my breathing potential in this single session!
I walked in out of breath and needed to take my inhaler as I had been experiencing heightened symptoms in the last week. There was an incredible link with my areas of tension and subsequent asthma health and at different stages throughout the treatment I could breathe more and more deeply with ease.
I can't tell you how great it is to get such results alongside an improvement in my posture thanks Jamie!
K. E.
For over a year following an injury at the gym I was limping around on my ankle feeling very sorry for myself, unable to run, in pain walking and just been told to take pain killers by my GP.
I was skeptical when my husband booked a session with Jamie and I didn't expect him to be able to help but after a few sessions I immediately felt the difference. After a couple months of treatment I've even been able to start running again! My ankle keeps getting better and better and I can walk now without pain which is AMAZING. My next challenge is high heels and I will burn my flat boring shoes!
Jamie is very knowledgeable and friendly and puts you at ease throughout the treatment. The venue is lovely and clean with a good central location close to Brighton Station. I would definitely recommend Jamie if you are looking for treatment from a therapist and considering physiotherapy or a similar alternative.
S. M.
Jamie knows what he's doing, though don't expect traditional physiotherapy. I visited with a calf tear recovery problem after a recommendation by a friend. I couldn't run without damaging it over and over again. Jamie's holistic approach had me running again within the month, and I'm still running, building up distance again.
While he was at it he's helped massively with problems with my ankle and shoulder, and all with no crystals or pan pipes to be seen. Definitely seek him out if you're having problems.
M. W.
Jamie helped me to prepare for a hip replacement and then with some pretty intensive rehab therapy after the operation. His approach is holistic and includes lots of observation throughout each session to check that the treatment was working - for example focusing on my neck and sternum and then chcecking that this was improving posture and mobility in my hip joint (the fact they are connected was a revelation to me!).
After a couple of months of sessions I returned to my consultant and he was amazed that I had achieved so much mobility in such a short recovery period.
As a result I have now lost the limp that I had walked with for over 25 years.

I called Jamie in a panic when my knees swelled up overnight. No appointments for a few days but Jamie was good enough to call me in his lunch break and reassure me it wasn't terminal! I've seen a few physios in my time and Jamie's approach is unique and quite amazing - even by the end of the first session he had restored flexibility, strength and movement in my knees - as well as fixing my overall posture and various deskjob-related issues. Highly recommended.

I have been for five sessions now and it has reduced, or stopped most of my repetitive aches, pains and sore joints. I'm over the moon from so few sessions. The whole place is relaxed and very informal. My sports therapist, Mark is fantastic. You first spend about 10 minutes discussing your current state and a little of your medical history and the rest is spent really going over all of the problem areas that you describe.
Mark's technique of discussing everything that he does before or as he does them is really helpful and makes you understand the underlying cause of your problems, insofar as to tell you WHY these injuries occur as well as how to lessen their effects day to day on your own. (sometimes the advice from other sources is actually contradictory Mark's advice and it becomes obvious that he knows his stuff as it actually works!) He's always taken care to remember anything I've said even just in passing and uses that to tailor the techniques on the fly.
I find the price is very reasonable considering the amount of time and effort that goes on with each session. Mark has decided that spacing out my appointments to better get used to using my body differently; this has really made feel no pressure to book appointments like you do at perhaps a chiropractor or other specialist wherein they make it a weekly thing, which can get costly so close together.
The facilities are clean and modern, the seating in the foyer is comfortable and the rooms are clean, sparse and not intimidating. If the other staff (to which I have no doubt) have the same level of expertise as Mark then you'd be in very safe hands. I would recommend Brighton Sports Therapy to anyone from any walk of life; from actual sports people to people like me who work from home, at a desk. You will find a benefit to Brighton Sports Therapy, I assure you.

I’ve been seeing Mark for 4 sessions now, and I couldn’t recommend him enough, his approach to treatment is great, a very calming and relaxing presence for what has been a very stressful injury for myself, I’m looking forward to continuing my path of recovery with him at Brighton Sports therapy
R. S.
I cannot recommend Jamie and his team highly enough. I suffered with chronic back pain for 2 years and whilst i'm sure the Chiropractor, (multiple) Physios, osteopath, yoga and massages helped, it was treatment from Jamie that ultimately sorted me out.
The treatment went beyond the physical issues I was suffering and I've learnt how to better care for my body and well being.
I've now been pain free for almost four months and it feels amazing. I can move freely and have an energy back in my body i've been missing for years. I recommend Brighton Sports therapy to anybody suffering any kind of chronic pain.

I went to see Jamie Webb about a knee injury that has arisen with no identifiable physical trauma attached to its appearance. It was my suspicion that it had an emotional cause (this in my mind was a plausible theory).
I didn't expect to be so pleasantly surprised by Jamie's approval and support of my theory. I thought physiotherapists would look at the symptom and not seek the deeper cause, But Jamie's holistic approach was a detailed analysis of how one stands in the world and how one find their feet in the world. Life will affect us on many levels and these guys are trained to go through physical and psychological events that manifest in physical injury.
There is plenty of amazing deep massage tackling core elements and also loads of explorative work on supportive muscle groups and how they all hold together and work with each other. It was a thoroughly amazing experience that got to the roots of many issues in my life. I can now hop, skip, jump and mosh my way forwards knowing that the root cause of my troubles has been tackled in a way that bodes well for a healthy life.
Physiotherapy is not cheap, nor should it be. Consider how much money we spend on getting our cars through the MOT on a yearly basis and you'll find that any physiotherapy cost pales in comparison. You don't have to be a genius to see which one has more importance when it comes to quality of life in the long run.

Since I've been treated by Jamie I've seen a constant improvement in the symptoms that I've suffered with for years.
Rather than just providing short term relief, Jamie has been able to identify the root cause of my back issues and has been able to explain how and why these problems have occured. His treatment and advice on improving my posture have worked extremely well for me, eliminating neck and groin problems that I had been suffering with long term.

After having over 10 years of knee pain and seeking so many different types of therapy , I was resigned to the fact I was always going to be restricted in my choices of ways to train , always fearfully avoiding certain excercises and being constantly aware of the niggling pain. Jamie got recommended to me and I am so grateful he was . His alternative approach has given me a new lease of life . I am running with no pain again , have more energy and a much more fearless mindset . Thanks so much Jamie , so glad you are in Brighton and so relieved to have found you .

Meeting Jamie for the first time was a very enjoyable experience, he explained a whole new way of the strains I had been putting on my body through Marathon running, tennis and bad posture, Within 30 mins he was working away and my body started to feel 10 years younger. A completely new and invigorating approach to back and muscles problems that I had battled with over the years.
Jamie is extremely good at getting fast results and you back on track with your exercise routines and he even sets you homework
I would have no hesitation of recommending BST to any one

Mark is extremely impressive and clearly passionate about his job. It was evident right away that he is highly experienced. I only needed 3 sessions to heal my shoulder but the sessions were more than just physio. Mark took a very holistic approach in healing my injury and has changed my whole perception on life, exercise and stress management. The sessions were worth every penny! I highly recommend.

I first went to Brighton Sports Therapy through Mark Gilmore.
Firstly he is very passionate about his job. I met him while playing sports. I have been going to Mark for some time now. I suffer with tight hips/groins ever since I had hip surgery a couple of years ago. The tight hips resulted in me having trouble with my right knee which is when I started going to see him.
He gave me a completely different insight into how my body works while playing sports.
I go to him once every four weeks and the treatments are fantastic.
His knowledge and wisdom about the human body will blow your mind.
A very genuine and passionate man about his job who is very interested in making you fit again wether it’s a short or long term injury.
Highly recommend!!

Blimey Jamie Webb is very very good at his job! Being mid-life I have managed to get my body into quite a twisted shape through years of desk work and weekend hero behaviour. It came to the point that I thought I would never be able to enjoy exercise again, but Jamie has really understood a complicated (hips/spine/legs/neck chest muscles all spangled) problem and has done a magicians job of unravelling the knots. I recommend him very highly.

Jamie and his team have been excellent in diagnosing and treating me.
From the first treatment the pain relief and increase in mobility has been fantastic, enabling me to continue regular activity and sport.
The atmosphere is always friendly yet thoroughly professional.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Brighton Sports Therapy to others.

I arranged an appointment with Mark after experiencing a number of injuries whilst training for my first Marathon. Having missed a lot of training already and with about 6 weeks to go before the big day I was about to admit defeat but after the first session with Mark I felt much more confident. Mark really knows his stuff, takes the time to treat the causes rather than the symptoms and is interesting and fun to talk to. I couldn't have got round the Marathon without his help. Highly recommended.

My 16 year old son, who is a swimmer, was suffering an injury and that's how we were introduced to Brighton Sports Therapy. I was amazed how quick the treatment helped Liam back to full fitness. Having suffered myself with Shoulder, Neck and Upper Back pain for years, I decided to ask if Jamie could help me too. Previous visits to NHS Physiotherapy clinics and Chiropractic treatment had been unsuccessful, but thankfully Jamie's Magic not only worked but enabled me to take up exercise classes that I hadn't been able to enjoy for years. When I explain what the treatment has done for me, I say "Jamie fixed me." When my husband saw the results of my treatment, he too wanted to be fixed and a course of treatment from Jamie and Dan have enabled him to realise his own potential as a swimmer, by getting back in the pool and not only training but competing again after 28 years out of the water. Jamie gets to know his clients and uses a holistic approach. This enables him to deliver a treatment programme that is tailor made for each individual.

I would highly recommend Jamie - he’s helped me immensely over the past 6 months keeping my body mobile and happily pain free whilst I’ve upped my training significantly for an ultra marathon this autumn.
The benefits have far exceeded my expectations in originally seeking help for knee pain - instead improve my overall posture and body position. Thank you Jamie!
C. R.
Jamie was a massive help through a difficult time with my complex and historical back problems. His approach is holistic, connecting mind, body and spirit. His work helped me to recover and find new ways to deal with future back problems and look at the underlying cause. I would highly recommend Jamie for both help with physical and emotional issues and will be sure to go back to him in the future should I require treatment.
D. R.
Jamie is approachable, professional and clearly very knowledgeable as well as passionate about sports therapy.
He strikes a great balance between the classical approach along with newer methods; and he is great at providing practical tips that can be implemented in my day to day life.
Having been let down by therapist previously, I am very happy to have found Jamie and I have already recommended him to a number of my friends.

I am an ongoing patient of Jamie's and somewhat of a conundrum... I am a competitive swimmer, who has suffered from back pain for almost two and a half years. Having visited chiropractors, oseteotheopaths and physios, no one could get to the root cause of the issue. It became a pain management issue, with no resolution even offered. Having seen Jamie for a few moths now, although we are not at the end of the road, the difference is amazing. I think he saw me as a challenge, and with patience and "body overview" he has been remarkable. It turns out the root of my back pain was being caused by multiple triggers, each week the onion would be peeled back a little more to another part of the body and I'm happy to say that now the end is firmly in sight. Big thanks to Jamie and his team for getting me through quite a tricky time.
R. C.
Jamie's treatment has completely changed my life. The back pain that I'd been putting up with for two decades has almost completely gone, along with neck and shoulder problems that weren't even the focus of my treatments. As well as approaching the physical sides of my pain, he's helped me to make simple changes to my lifestyle which have opened up a whole new world for me, as well as making me feel ten years younger and giving me a whole new perspective on my future.
Friendly, easy-going and extremely reassuring, I can't thank or recommend him enough. Just brilliant.

I went to see debora today … I’m 2 weeks post surgery for lypo and Brazilian butt lift procedure … I have tried 3 therapists local to me for lymphatic drainage massage.. all were pointless and didn’t do what I knew needed to be done …. Deborah omg she’s absolutely wonderful … magic hands … beautiful natured person … she’s kind , sweet and has so much knowledge x She is now the only person I will see until I’m fully recovered.. absolute godsend xxxxxx

I first went to see Mark about a calf injury. It soon became obvious this was going to be a life changing discovery. The holistic assessment and treatment has really helped me to improve my fitness and health. An old serious leg injury that every other physio has advised was hopelessly damaged is now much improved and I have a much more mobile ankle. I have made and continue to make progress and learning about my physical health has helped me identify the stressors in my life I need to change to become healthier, happier and so I can start to be more safely active again.
K. B.
It's not often you come across a maverick in the world of sports injuries but I think Jamie might just be one! His approach is refreshingly different from the usual physiotherapy treatments I have had, it's life he gets right down into the core of the problem, adjusting a small muscle in my neck to release tension in my hip. So if your looking for a new approach to your problems then it's worth giving Brighton Sports Therapy a go.
M. P.
I first found Jamie after searching for sports physio massage on Google. He fixed a long-standing shoulder problem within 3 or 4 physio sessions and an even longer-standing lower back problem in a further couple of sessions. I continue to have sessions every 4-6 weeks as a preventative measure. To say this has been life-changing would be an understatement and I cannot recommend Jamie highly enough to anybody looking for physiotherapy.
J. P.
Tl;dr - I went in *extremely* broken. Came out fixed after a good chunk of sessions. Great value, highly skilled, very friendly with clean facilities. Give them a shot, it’s highly likely you won’t be disappointed.
I’ve had a few+ years of on-off treatment from different physios for a shoulder injury and shin splints/pain that only seemed to go temporarily and then come back. Everything was slowly getting worse, culminating in a rock-bottom personally for me where I had sharp foot pain, shin pain, lower back pain and shoulder pain. All exercise had stopped because of these various problems so having nothing to lose, I searched around (prepared to literally travel anywhere) for the best physio I could find and settled on either these guys (based off their reviews) or Harley St, London (based off their prices). I booked both, saw Jamie in Brighton first and politely explained to him that he had a few sessions to convince me I didn’t need to pay through the nose in London.
The first two sessions actually massively reduced my stress levels which I was not expecting but has been a huge bonus. You do need an open-mind; it was strange someone giving me painful deep tissue massages on my stomach and hips to treat foot pain but I ran with it because as I said, I was at rock-bottom so I was open to trying anything. The next two sessions and it was obvious that we we’re making good progress on the pain. In the end, my feet and shin pain has been fixed almost without anyone ever actually touching my feet or legs.
I had more sessions than I thought at the start (just under 20 in total), so it hasn’t been cheap, but I certainly feel like I’ve had good value and I didn’t need to fork out a fortune at Harley Street. The two hour round trip for each session has been worth it. My pain is gone in every area, large amounts of stress have gone, my posture is better and most importantly, I’m exercising again. It’s like night and day so I am extremely grateful for the work Jamie has done.
I will certainly be back for an MOT every now and then to keep any potential problems away and to help keep the stress away.

When I came to see Mark I was in a bad way - living with severe back pain 24/7 following a major motorcycle accident in which I broke just about every bone in my body.
I had rods in my spine to stabilise four fractures, muscles removed from my back to rebuild my leg, arthritis in my knee, unstable ankles - you name it, I had it! I was taking morphine and other painkillers and I had been passed around many NHS and private physiotherapists for two years getting nowhere. I was resigned to a lifetime of pain and didn’t think I would ever work again.
Fortunately my insurance company stepped in and referred me to Mark. It was refreshing to have a physio listen attentively to all my issues instead of jumping straight in, and where previous physios had taken a very hard approach to my recovery - doing weights and tough exercises, Mark recognised the tension in my body and we worked on stretching, relaxing and massage. From the outset things started to improve.
Mark was also the only physio that recognised the very real link between body and mind and how my low mood and stress was contributing to my pain. He introduced me to mindfulness and yoga and would give me a little pep talk each session to keep me motivated. Soon I was able to come off of painkillers completely and manage the pain naturally with massage, stretching, meditating and basic exercises.
I’m pleased to report that I am now pain free, living a full life without medication, back at work and healthier and happier than I ever was.
I would never have got here without Mark’s compassionate attention and understanding of my needs. He is nothing short of a miracle worker and I cannot recommend Brighton Sports Therapy highly enough!

I've used Brighton Sports Therapy for two separate injuries which should indicate my satisfaction with the work done by Jamie and his team.
In both instances they were able to identify the cause of my injury and sort a plan to treat it. Each session I was met with great friendliness and professionalism.
Can't recommend them enough.
K. C.
I keep coming back to Jamie because whenever I have a problem, he sorts it quickly. I'm a runner and I find his style of physiotherapy works for me - I had an issue, this time struggling to get my breath and pain down my right leg, and literally after 1 treatment I feel better. I have a few exercises to do and will see him after a week, but he allows people to keep going with their lives.

I saw Mark after a couple of years of trying different doctors and different types of treatment for chronic pain on my wrist, and not only was my pain relieved, we're tackling together different kinds of problems on my body and I was introduced to a different lifestyle.
L. G.
Jamie has been treating me now for several months. When I first went to see him I had a chronic hip problem with a mixed diagnosis from my GP and orthopaedic surgeon. I was limping constantly and very restricted in activities I could manage.
Jamie has stabalised my joint and I have been skiing this year twice with no problems.

Sam is an excellent physiotherapist. Before my first visit I had almost become resigned to thinking that I would never play football again due to a knee injury that had kept me sidelined for a year. Sam quickly diagnosed the root cause of the problem, and her innovative treatment methods have got me back playing and feeling confident. Her muscle activation work has transformed my posture, and every session I walk out of the room feeling more balanced and a few inches taller on account of standing up straighter! Highly recommended.

Last summer, while training for a half-marathon, I found myself suffering from increasingly severe pain in my left foot. Having self-diagnosed myself with Plantar Fasciitis, I searched for a Physiotherapist in Brighton who would be able to alleviate the now daily routine of hopping around the bedroom first thing in the morning like I'd just stepped on a plug / Lego brick / hot coal. Jamie was top of the list thanks to an article he wrote on foot pain, so I booked an appointment and off I went.
Having never visited a Physiotherapist before, I wasn't sure what to expect in terms of treatment, but Jamie's calming demeanour laid any fears to rest. His approach, focusing not only on localised treatment, but on bio-mechanics and the improvement of form and movement, has cured the pain in my foot (it turns out that it wasn't Plantar Fasciitis, but rather an aggravated nerve) and also allowed me to become a faster runner; my 'steady' pace has jumped from a ten-minute mile to an eight-minute mile though Jamie's advice on adjusting my form. I have since found out that this holistic approach is not common in Physiotherapy, which is a shame given that it has worked wonders on me.
I don't think Jamie would take it too personally if I said that I hope to never see him in a professional capacity again, but should I find myself stricken by injury again, I wouldn't hesitate to call for an appointment. Highly recommended.

I'd met jamie a couple of times through friends and, being blokes, we didn't really discuss what we did much but we clearly shared a similar humour... I knew he did some sort of sports therapy or physiotherapy thing in Brighton, but that was about it. Having stumbled through life relatively free of injury, from early 2015 I found myself going through a spell of aches and pains: I'd broken a toe playing volleyball (don't kick the volleyball) and I guess the hobbling about had put different stresses on other bits and 8 months of persistent aches and pains followed. Getting up was always worst: stiff lower back and a dicky buttock. I was getting bored of it and realised I needed some professional help. So Jamie popped into my head and I gave him a call. Nice chat, appointment made.
The first session was an absolute revelation. I assumed the source of my pain was somewhere near where I felt it most. How wrong I was. 5 minutes of gentle prodding and Jamie was soon pinpointing the tension spots that needed the most direct attention. Having done this for a few years now, Jamie clearly has his eye in, going straight to the bits that I didn't even know were tense. Some muscles and tendons were very tender and I was a bit nervous they might hurt a bit but I soon gained confidence in Jamie's touch. The hour disappeared and I left feeling, different. Lighter.
5 treatments on and I can honestly say that the problems I had with muscular pain and mobility have all but gone. I think many of us blokes, when faced with physical discomfort tend to soldier on in the hope that it will simply go away. Personally, I didn't think anyone would really be able to help me. I'm really chuffed I gave Jamie that call and I recommend anyone with muscular discomfort does the same.

I first started going to Mark Gilmore because of a back/hamstring injury I picked up on the pitch. This left me in quite a bit of pain and I wasn’t able to train at all. However, after only two sessions with Mark I was able to get back training and playing matches. I would highly recommend his services. He has a very holistic approach to sports therapy and is extremely knowledgeable. Not only has he help with my injury but he has also provided long term solutions to looking after my body and the life style choices I make. Highly recommended.
G. M.
Mark really helped me improve my knee. Feels so much better thanks to his work and exercises to do at home. Thanks for all your help! :)
M. D.
I wasn't a sports person as such but went to see Jamie with a simple hip problem. Well, I was made very welcome and now I'm running for the first time in 30 years, twice a week with no pain what-so-ever! Jamie soon knew what the hip problem was and sorted that out along with some other things along the way. Nice, decent guy and I thoroughly recommend him.
T. M.
Jamie is just great, I visited when I first had some issues with my knee. Jamie quickly found the source of my problem and as been working with me to essentially change the way I use my body, from head to toe. A really eye opening experience and I walk out of each session feeling completely re-energised, body and soul!

I started physio with Sam after an injury to my lower back. She is lovely and very knowledgeable. Being somebody in a similar field, it's always fun to ask her questions about the anatomy of the human body that we're working on and it's amazing how much she knows! I come out of every session with more knowledge which is a bonus!
Working with her to get past this injury so far has been a pleasure. She is very empathetic and willing to listen to your concerns. She is very organized and each session gives me an outline of what we are planning to achieve and work on - sort of like a game plan.
Progress feels great! Highly recommend Sam and the Brighton Sports Therapy!

Having used a number of Sports Therapists over the years, Jamie is by far the best and most knowledgeable. Most other therapists were threating the affected area with would only temporarily help the project. Jamie began by looking at the wider problems and issues which were causing the problem to persist. I would highly recommend for anyone seeking any therapy.
J. C.
I know Jamie from his Swindon Sports Therapy operation. He runs a really professional and friendly outfit and has helped me on numerous occasions following an op and following numerous cycling injuries.
The premises are clean, the advice is sound and the services offered are totally centred around you as a patient. For me it's the holistic approach to the body as a whole that really works, Jamie's interested in finding a long term solution and not just fixing the obvious problem.

i run up to marathon distance and long distance cycling and from the mid point of the events i would suffer knee pain so i medicate to get me to the end. the recovery time got longer and longer and the fragility of my left knee increased. i was recommended to go see Jamie from a trusted friend and i was pretty amazed at how quickly things changed. without asking he was able to tell me that i had historic ankle, chest and knee issues on the left side. 3 snowboarding injuries one compression, 1 twist/front edge at speed. basically the only 2 times i have been in A&E in my life. he worked everywhere apart from my knee and within 5 minutes i felt change. i had more spring in my leg (before and after tests), another 5 minutes i had more stability in my lunges etc etc. after 3 sessions and a slow build up i completed a 54km run and felt like i could have gone further. i still see jamie as i'm building up to 100km run in 7 weeks time, something i could never have dreamed of previously. Each time i go it still hurts but i feel different and he works on the less severe but nontheless important areas of my body that are recovering from early injuries or just not holding myself properly. anyway, highly recommended for any issues you may be experiencing- i just bought my girlfriend a session for her birthday as her hip hurts and i'm pretty certain it won't after.

Having tried many different therapies and therapists over the years I almost lost hope. I was hesitant to try another. I looked at Jamie's website, initially dismissing it as too expensive. However my physical condition forced my hand.
Well I can honestly say it has been a revelation , he really helped me with my injuries, a very knowledgeable guy. It has been worth every penny.
I can't recommend him highly enough!!!
A. D.
These guys are the best in the business and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending them to anyone with an injury or other physical issue. Thanks to Mark I avoided knee surgery and hernia surgery and am now in better shape than ever! Worth every penny, don't go anywhere else.
A. E.
Started physio with Jamie after having a bad break with tibia and fibula, after a session with Jamie I was seeing improvements. The more physio I've had the better the progress has become. I would thougroughly recommend Jamie to anyone who has any niggles or problems that they think can't be solved!
D. T.
Jamie helped me tackle a persistent shoulder problem caused many years ago by a skiing accident. Although it was beyond repair, Jamie helped me understand the issue, recommended some exercises and worked on it to loosen things up. I appreciated that Jamie didn't push for unnecessary sessions to resolve something that he couldn't fix.
w.
After plateauing with training and constant niggles hampering my efforts at giving 100%, I thought I'd give physiotherapy a try. Having swam with Jamie for some time and discussing niggles and targets I was convinced that seeing a physiotherapist could improve my performance.
I have had sports physio and sports massage from a couple of therapists at BST and have found them equally professional and knowledgeable. These guys and gals know their craft.
My last event produced 2 PB's knocking some serious time of my previous best.

I was recommended to try Sports Therapy after a friend had used them. Whilst I had no injury I was training hard and my body was tired and legs were leaden. Sam worked magic and after the first session my legs were light and back to 'normal'. Then after the second I was like brand new and my muscles were loosened and flexibility was seriously improved. The treatment is tailored and very personal. I cannot recommend the approach, professionalism and outcomes enough. I am already telling everyone I know!
R. P.
For more years than I care to remember I have suffered with chronic muscular back pain. In that time I have seen innumerable physiotherapists, chiropractors, osteopaths and even a prominent neurosurgeon. In desperation, I have tried electro-acupuncture, ordinary acupuncture, a TENS machine, Botox, steroid and facet joint injections and every prescription and over-the-counter pain relief treatment I could name. I’ve experimented with a variety of mattresses and even got rid of a much-loved sports car because I felt it was affecting my back!
I started seeing Jamie a couple of months ago. From the outset, I found that he treated my back problem in a way I hadn’t encountered before. By working on deep muscle tissue that triggers the pain, he manages to achieve a pain-free result by the end of each session.
Overall, I am really pleased and relieved that I have, at last, found a practitioner who understands my back problem and, what’s more, has the ability to treat it. I have found Jamie to be a personable and hugely knowledgeable young man, who works with humour and an excellent grasp of his client’s condition.

I have chronic pain and fatigue problems and this is the only treatment that has made a difference. (I've tried everything – NHS, private and alternative therapies.) The pain in my hip subsided after my first session – such a relief! I've been going back every fortnight to have tune-ups and treatment for my countless other aches and pains. Thanks to Jamie and Sam my pain level is at an all time low. I recommend them to anyone with pain – whether you're sporty or not.
J. C.
I had my first physio session with Stuart a couple of weeks ago and I am even more impressed after my second visit. After just a couple of weeks my hip pain has reduced from limping with constant ache and sharp pains to an occasional dull ache. I have total confidence in Stuart that I will have no pain there soon.
I've been really impressed by Stuarts knowledge and ability to translate any discomforts I have into an opportunity to educate me on how I can move better to prevent more problems. Although my hip was the main issue he's helping me work through other problem areas at the same time and has worked them into the treatment plan (simple stretches).
Just as important Stuart has a great manner and makes me feel very comfortable. I'd really recommend him!

My son had been experiencing knee pain for over a year, the hospital diagnosed him with something that he will have to live with for the rest of his life. We were feeling very down about it when we first came to see Mark, as my son is passionate about sport and the thought of living with the pain and not playing sport was devastating. However, Mark has been amazing and remarkably since starting physio the pain has gone! We can't quite believe it but all the exercises and advice Mark has given us has really helped and will help long term too, as my son now understands his body more and the way it is all interlinked. Mark has a kind and gentle manner and has been so positive, he really does look at everything holistically and we can't recommend him enough.
A. B.
Sam was utterly professional and wonderful to have as a physio. She reassured me constantly and not only left me feeling physically better, but encouraged me to stick at the training and gave me faith that I could finish the half marathon – which I did. Sam’s hard work paid off and I was left injury free after a gruelling 13 miles. I would recommend Sam to anyone.

On 22nd April 2018 I completed the London Marathon employing all the management techniques Mark Gilmore had provided me with. Without Mark's excellent advice and approach to my issues I would never have got to the start line let alone the finish line and cannot recommend him highly enough. My approach to sporting things as well as the way I think and move generally is massively improved thanks to Mark.

Warm, effective, thorough and communicative - Brighton Sports Therapy combine a humanising, welcoming approach with a deep expert knowledge of the body and how it works. Having never used a physiotherapist before I was very sceptical, but after a few years with some periodically debilitating neck pains, I was anxious for some relief, or a solution! Brighton Sports Therapy, thankfully, has given both. The positive impact and benefits of the work are evident after every session, and the improvement has been very quick. Rather than feel pressured into signing up to never-ending treatment, they let the work speak for itself, and deliver long term benefits in a reasonable amount of sessions. The way you are treated and the relief provided engender great trust, and they make certain that you always understand the treatment and can connect the process to the results. I couldn't recommend them highly enough, and I've been able to take what I've learned in the sessions into my daily routine for the better. Personable, fun, and supportive, you'd be in excellent hands.

I have had various treatments over many years with frustratingly limited results so was eager to try Brighton Sports Therapy when my son highly recommended it. The results with Sam are progressing incredibly well! She is highly professional and friendly. Everything is explained clearly with an approach that looks at the whole body, rather than focusing on the area of pain. I would recommend anyone to try this approach .

I went to see Jaime initially with a dodgy knee after lots and lots of running. I'd been told various different things by different doctors and none of them were very optimistic. It took a few sessions to get it back to 100% and most of those were spent without even touching my knee! Albeit slightly mysteriously, it worked brilliantly and I went from initially being rather skeptical to being super impressed quite quickly. Highly recommended!
H. P.
Following emphatic recommendations from colleagues, I sought solutions to a list of niggles that were more nagging tell-tales of a lifetime of less-than desirable posture and internalized stress than an injury in itself. As a physio newbie, Jamie quickly impressed - this guy knows his stuff. This is more than just physio - he has worked his magic, expertly piecing together the underlying causes, giving me a better understanding of myself and an increasing awareness how my body works.
J. E.
I requested a phone call with a therapist to get some advice about my tennis elbow. Mark phoned and was fantastic. He listened attentively and suggested many different things for me to try. He has a very holistic approach and was incredibly generous with his time. I would highly recommend. Thank you Mark, my elbow feels better already!

a few months ago as I was training for 2 upcoming events fundraising for my charity I began to have problems with my right knee, and on some occasions was unable to put weight on it when going up steps or uphill, I asked on Facebook if anyone knew of any good physiotherapists in my area, and I was recommended Jamie Webb, having no knowledge of what to expect, made an initial appointment, went along and was assessed, with all aspects of my health taken into account, Jamie diagnosed a muscle imbalance, and immediately began working on releasing muscles in many parts of my body, but strangely (not to him) this had the effect of strengthening the muscles around my knee. I have since completed a 100k non stop walk, plus have trekked round Iceland with no further problems to my knee ( or any other part of my poor body ). I am far from understanding Jamie's methods completely, but I assure you that if Jamie is given a body suffering in any way from the traumas of sport, he will have you diagnosed, and be working on the problem within the first 30 minutes of your appointment, and you WILL leave after the 1st hour already aware of improvement. Follow-up appointments are booked as and when needed and always at a time suitable to you. On a practical note parking is easy (either in the Sainsburys car park where if you spend £10 or more you get 2 hours free parking, and the car park is nearly under the practice, or at the normal London Road Car Park which is a 5 minute walk away). So, as a round up yes I would highly recommend this practice,

Having suffered with shoulder and upper arm pain for months I decided to book an initial session with BST during which I was assessed and it was explained to me what the subsequent course of treatment would be. After 3 further sessions I was feeling much better and the pain had completely gone. This is by far the most effective physio treatment I have ever had and what amazed me most is that Sam barely touched my arms at all, it was tightness in my abdomen muscles that was causing the issue. Really great stuff.

Jamie solved a recurring shoulder injury I'd had for a very long time. I'd tried a few physios over the years, none of which had any real or lasting impact. Jamie made sure he really understood the problem and then found a solution that worked and has lasted.
Can't recommend enough!

I've only seen Stuart a couple of times so far but I've already experienced a vast improvement in my flexibility and reduction in discomfort. This was immediate following the first session. The methods employed are new to me and obviously work. Having experienced hip and knee problems for more than 10 years I am very pleased with the results and look forward to continuing the treatments.

I've been a client of Sam's for over a month. I suffer from chronic migraine (over 15 days of migraine a month, lucky me!), and when I first got in touch with Sam I'd had a migraine every day for two months straight. I liked Sam immediately - she really does know her stuff - and after seeing Sam once a week for month my migraines reduced in frequency (from 30 a month to 12 a month) and also intensity. I've spent years seeing neurologists, have tried lots of preventatitve and abortive medications, and have seen lots of alternative therapists too (ranging from acupuncturists to cranial osteopaths) - none has had such a positive impact on my migraines and body as a whole as the work Sam has done. From the first session I had with Sam I saw a marked improvement in my migraines, and have continued to do so. Sam has an amazing ability to explain the complicated-muscle stuff in layman's terms so I understand why she's doing what she's doing, and I'm always impressed at her professionalism and down-to-earth approach. Would highly recommend her to anyone (not just people who have migraines!) who needs progressive physiotherapy treatment.

I had 4 sessions with Sam for a truly weird tingling sensation in my legs. Had lots of massage visits over the last 6 months since it began. Neurological - said GP - like tinnitus of the limbs. and perhaps it was/is partly psychological . Anyway Sam thanks a million it's much better.
Not 100% perfect but way way improved. You were def. onto something with that nerve on leg and near neck. V grateful for some notes as now in Liverpool.
Clinic is practical pleasant space. Easy access of you start from North lanes. Google can confuse you tho coming from station but I found it through google. So thanks all .

Even after one session my presenting complaint a " frozen shoulder" was 90% improved. I was very impressed with Jamie's professionalism and thorough explanations of the treatment. I strongly recommend every one has at least one session to feel the difference

As an ultrarunner I approached Jamie Webb with much trepidation, expecting the usual advice to stop running silly distances and I wouldn't be complaining of injuries. Instead, I was met with complete acceptance of 'what I do' combined with consistent 'work' on the source of my injuries/complaints. I couldn't recommend Brighton Sports Therapy highly enough. It has been a joy to finally run pain-free again. My running complaints have ranged from ankle injuries to IT-band trouble, lazy glutes, core and hip stresses and strains ... ALL of which I can happily say are currently in the best condition they can be in. Will I stop running? No. But the holistic approach of Brighton Sports Therapy has allowed me to continue, improve and race pain-free. Thank you.

Great first treatment in which a thorough analysis of symptoms led to an accurate diagnostic. Almost 'magic' techniques used to treat the symptoms which included addressing the entire connecting muscle groups as well as the specific problem area. Jamie really seemed to know his stuff and I'd thoroughly recommend his services.

Had a session with Mike here. Very knowledgeable PT. Deep analysis and holistic approach. He showed me some good stretches and moves to fix my hip issues. Also gave me a good deep tissue massage wich is very painful but useful and often necessary. I can recommend it to anyone who is willing to work on their weaknesses. The place has a toilet as well.

Jamie has been treating me for very complex problems and has got much further with them than any other therapist I've worked with (and there have been quite a few). He's also an extremely nice guy and very obviously dedicated to his patients and his profession.

I contacted Brighton Sports Therapy because I have RSI and didn’t feel in control of it. I met Mark who has literally changed my life. He has a wonderfully kind and holistic approach - Mark’s helping me to be more aware of how stress affects my body and teaching me techniques to manage it mentally and physically - Mark is my Mr. Miyagi!

This guy knows his onions. After several Ironmans and too many marathons I was looking for someone to activate underused muscle groups and to help me feel less creaky overall.
After sessions with BST I felt great and left with a whole new understanding of the human body. Jamie shared a lot of new and interesting insights and gave me a series of treatment that really worked.

If you've tried Physio and got nowhere or you're freshly crock and looking for a quick recovery you've found it. Persistent, long accepted injuries are challenged and relief can be almost instant. Don't resign yourself to elective surgery or a life on the sofa feeling sorry for yourself. Jamie and his team can help you recover. Prepare to get better. I have.

After a couple of (everyday life) injuries movement in my shoulder was compromised and painful. Easygoing and positive Sam surprised me by suggesting the problem wasn't my joint and that a course of massage would resolve it. Marked improvements followed every session and the next (5th) I hope will be the last... at least until the next time I fall over.

Stuart at Brighton Sports Therapy has made a huge difference to my sports injuries. I've been to many, many different types of physical therapists over the years and have to admit that I've usually been disappointed with physiotherapists...but all that has changed! Brighton Sports Therapy truly look at you and your injuries/pain in a totally holistic way - definitely recommended if you have any sort of injuries, especially sports ones.

Everyone at this physiotherapy clinic is fantastic. I have nothing but praise for these therapists. If you are in need of physiotherapy this is a place you simply must go to. Thank you for all your help, Jamie, Mark and Sam.

Seen physio Jamie a few time over the years with knee problems. He and all working there are extremely professional and know what they're talking about. I'd say they're the best in the business.

Jamie suggested a fresh approach to treating my back and right hip pain - foot correction - which worked absolutely fantastically! Following a thorough assessment Jamie pinpointed a specific correction to my left foot which provided immediate relief. Thank you!

RESULTS AFTER ONLY ONE SESSION! I think that is probably the most important thing to highlight. Oh, and they treat you like intelligent human beings ensuring that you know and understand what and why you are receiving your treatment. And they are at the forefront of physio thinking. Plus they don't overburden you with "exercises" that they can hide behind as a reason for your treatment not working. In short - if you have never been to a physio before - go here. If you have been to a physio before - go here. Just go here. OK?

I suffered from back pains for years. Jamie provided relief through a very holistic approach and helped me be more in touch with my body. They gave me invaluable advice that I still use today to relieve back tension and pain.

I can highly recommend Jamie. He works by getting to the underlying cause of the problem, rather than just treating the area where the symptoms are showing. Very friendly and professional guy who absolutely knows his stuff and teaches you a lot about how your movements and daily activities are affecting your body.

Jamie at Brighton Sports Therapy has been excellent in 'fixing' an old injury which now means i can enjoy sports again. I highly recommend BST.

Great stuff. Jamie understands all the complexities of the body and, for the curious, is great at explaining it too. At some point you'll probably wonder 'why is he prodding THAT bit", but it works. Agree to make a few habitual changes and there's probably little he can't fix. You'll feel better for it overall too. Go see him!
S. C.
Very impressed. My strange combination of endurance and high-impact sports has led to what feels like a fairly unique set of physical challenges. BST got to the heart of the problem straight away in my first appointment and took a lot of persistent pain away immediately.

When I started the therapy at Brighton Sports Therapy I could barely walk due to an injured knee. I already felt better after a couple of sessions and now I'm perfectly fine and happy to walk miles again! Thanks Stuart!

At Brighton Sports Therapy they always seem to know what's going on with my body and get it working properly. It is thanks to Brighton Sports Therapy that I am able to continue to enjoy the sport I love and recover quicker!

I’m a London based Physiotherapist who drives down to Brighton for regular treatment sessions with Jamie.... enough said!

Can highly recommend this clinic if you feel you should get more out of your body or have an injury etc. They go to the root of whatever issue you have and see the body as a whole, rather than the conventional one fits all treatment I have received before I came here. They are great at explaining what's going on with the body throughout the treatment and makes it understandable for common people.
Thank you

My treatment transformed an old, recurring injury after a single session. With some maintenance sessions I have been able to return to (pain free) long distance running.

Really lovely therapists. Both Jamie and Sam were kind and full of helpful information. I appreciate their holistic approach

Specialises in baby chiropractor, the doctor herself was super friendly and smiley. She's got a flair with babies. Very pleasant experience.

Three sessions with Jamie and shoulder feels considerably better. Wish i hadn't ignored it for the last three months and come down sooner.

I've had muscle tension for a long time. Sam helped in easing it. She explained what was causing the problem, which was a good relief.

Amazing support regarding shoulder problems from Mark. The holistic helped me a lot.

I highly recommend this place. Sam has worked nothing short of a miracle with the chronic back and hip pain I had been suffering from. The treatment rooms are pristine and comfortable.

100% recommend to sort out root causes of body aches and pains so they don't keep coming back!

Jamie is quite simply a miracle worker!!!
N. C.
A careful and methodical analysis of the problem that was dealt with by both a knowledgable grasp of the theory and a sensibility for the particular body that needs repairing.
