I got recommended to Ali after suffering an injury while training(bodybuilding) to my shoulder/neck area. Ali was super professional and extremely reassuring, after seeing an NHS physio and speaking to people in the profession Ali has been by far the best and after giving me the rehab programme after my assessment i’ve never felt so good and confident about my injury for months! simply A case of “let’s find the problem and we will fix it” I would Highly recommend him to anyone

I've worked with Ali for over a decade in various guises. He is the only physio I recommend to any of my athletes or lifters when they have an injury I can't solve or think would be better dealt by someone with a stronger rehabilitation skill set.
Ali also helped me with an over decade long shoulder injury that I am now far better able to manage and deal with. I had been given the same diagnosis before but coming from someone who has been in the trenches definitely makes a difference when it comes credibility.
Good man Ali you won't go wrong.

Ali has resolved a reoccurring back issue I had for years, but more importantly he has changed my mindset towards injury and rehabilitation. His approach to physio is ‘no nonsense’ and will challenge your preconceptions of what your injury may be and put your mind at rest, giving you a plan to being fully fit. I’d highly recommend Ali as a physiotherapist.
Furthermore, Ali’s knowledge of training and strength coaching is tremendous. He has tried every protocol he prescribes and has a great balance of technical knowledge and a “get the work done” attitude that is needed in powerlifting.

Highly recommend Alistair. As a fellow healthcare professional, (albeit an overweight menopausal one!) I felt he really listened to me and worked with me to come up with a plan that is realistic and achievable. He explained things clearly, gave me choices and was professional, thorough, honest and kind in his assessment. If you’re struggling a bit , whatever your level, then suggest you give him a try.

I've made use of Ali's services as both a physiotherapist and more recently as a strength coach and I cannot recommend him highly enough for both.
Ali has been able to help me with both a knee and shoulder injury that I'd been dealing with for several years, providing consultations, rehab plans and support through the whole journey to allow me to push in training again.
Ali designed my training with these previous injuries in mind, putting together a programme that has allowed me to make progress while simultaneously working on injury rehab. He delivers his services through easy to use systems and provides unlimited support remotely.

Ali has helped me with recurring knee pain. He performed a thorough assessment and listened to my experience. He then developed recovery and rehab programs which prevented this issue from returning, allowing me to continue lifting weights. Highly recommended!

I saw Ali a couple of months ago for an ankle injury. He gave me clear and considered advice about what was happening and how I could keep up with doing the sports I wanted to be doing, along with a rehab program.
Ali gave me a set of progressive exercises for strengthening the joint. I’ve been about to work through his program and have recover really well.
I’ve not needed to go back to see him, but absolutely would use him again.

I've seen Ali for a recent shoulder injury and an old knee injury (plus all the niggles in-between!) His assessment skills, explanation of issues and treatment plans have all been excellent. Ali takes the time to thoroughly explain the issues and treatment in an understandable way, and often provides research based evidence to support his recommendations. He is easily one of the best physios in town for a weightlifter as his own background in powerlifting means he has a perfect understanding of training and common injuries. 10/10, would physio again!

I was referred to Ali with hip pain a few months ago and since then I have made huge progress with my training. He has helped me rehabilitate and strengthen my weaknesses, and has also helped with greatly improve my strength in general. Highly recommend!

Having trained and competed in combat sports for around a decade, I seemed stuck in a continual loop of setbacks after some fairly serious injuries (hip surgery, pec tear, snapped bicep). At which point I accepted that being in my 30's, I'm just too old to be doing things like this and gave up training entirely.
I contacted Ali at Fortis for an assessment, just to go over some rehab style stuff and after listening to my story and me telling him how I can't train anymore, I was politely, but with no uncertainty, told I was talking absolute nonsense. Ali assured me that, if I wanted to, not only could I rehab the injuries, but could also be back training again.
After this session I hired Ali as a coach and true to his word, under his watchful eye and through his no nonsense approach to programming and load management, not only am I currently stronger than I was prior to injuries, I am also training combat sports, rolling hard and sparring again, with plans to compete before the end of the year!
Best decision I've made in a long time.

I've been booking in with Ali at Fortis for a few years now, and he has helped me successfully rehab several issues, from recurring knee and back pain in day-to-day life to wrist and shoulder injuries sustained through lifting.
Ali creates customised programs for me to help address the weaknesses which were giving me issues, and gives great advice on how to reduce pain, which has been instrumental in still being able to lift weights and stay active while rehabbing.
Ali provides a superb service and produces solid results, I cannot recommend Fortis highly enough. Will definitely be booking in when I need patched up again!

I initially began working with Ali for physio 2 years ago with a knee injury, I was given an initial consultation and rehab programme which strengthened the knee and other parts of my leg which were likely the cause of the injury. I have had no problems with the knee since.
As a combat sports athlete I have suffered numerous impact injuries since and always gone to Ali for rehab, the process is always professional, positive and any injury I have suffered Ali has given me the tools and guidance to improve myself after our initial consultations.
I have recently been working with Ali over the past few months employing him as both physio and a personal trainer (remote coaching). I have seen a dramatic increase in strength and lifting technique in a short amount of time and my injury rate has decreased due to implementing strength training into my routine.
Ali has provided a huge amount of personal support via WhatsApp and training videos and always replies in a timely manner should I have any issues or questions. Ali’s knowledge of strength training and the body is excellent and I fully trust him having initially advised that I did not enjoy squatting, he reassured me worked on technique and gave me the guidance to the point where it is now one of my favourite lifts and an essential part of my training.
I believe Ali can help anyone from someone with restricted mobility/injuries to high level athletes and everyone should implement some form of strength training into their lives. I could not recommend him highly enough!

Been coached by Ali at Fortis for over a year now, couldn't recommend highly enough for ongoing strength and conditioning coaching. I've had an ongoing problem with my hip which Ali assessed and incorporates my rehab into my training program; which is ideal!

After years of weight lifting and combat sports I was left with serious hamstring, adductor and shoulder injuries. I seen NHS doctors, had MRI scans and cortisone injections over the course of 2 years while being in chronic pain with little to no remedy . Within a few months of working with Ali, my hamstring issues have almost completely disappeared and I can feel my adductor getting stronger and less painful as the weeks go on.
I am also thriving from the benefits of muscle strength and can’t wait to see what I can do when I am fully healed and maxing out my strength levels. We have spoken about a more specialised form of training for martial arts and can’t wait to start.
10/10 if you have any injuries or problems improving in the gym or your given sport, Ali is the man to see.
