I highly recommned Physio Effect to everyone. Danny has been fantastic every visit - treatment has been effective, it's well explained and you always feel at ease. I have had a variety of treatments over the years for various issues and I wouldn't go anywhere else. The most recent treatment has been Shockwave Therapy on my tennis elbow and, although it's not the most comfortable thing in the world to have done, it has really made a difference. I had the issue for 10weeks+ and in three sessions of the Shockwave it has aleviated about 85% of the constant pain and discomfort I was in. This treatment, coupled with the hands on physiotherapy from Dannt + the prescribed rehab programme I do in my own time has made a huge difference in a short time.

I've used Physio Effect for pre and postnatal pilates for both my pregnancies and would highly recommend it to anyone who is pregnant. I found the classes great for protecting and strengthening, as well as recovering from pregnancy. They are led by Mariam who is a incredibly knowledgeable physio, adaptions to the pilates could be made for specific conditions and injuries whilst being confident of not damaging yourself. An essential tool on the road to recovery to get back to pre pregnancy exercise. Mariam went above and beyond for our class during lockdown, providing postnatal pilates in 15 minute sessions to be done in our own time, that fit around having a toddler and baby running around.

Had a brilliant sports massage with Pavol. He asked if I had any areas I'd like him to focus on and he got to work. I decided to start running 5ks after 10 years of no running. I initially had 2 months of hip pain, before trying again (with some new shoes, which I thought might fix the issue). The pain returned after the next two 5ks. I saw Jonny, initially for physio, before he suggested a running assessment. Issues were identified with my running technique, which were linked to a previous injury. I worked on improving my running in gym based on Jonny's advice and have now completed 2 outdoor 5ks with none of the previous hip pain. Very pleased!

First time was after a year out running and drifting through other physios and numerous appointments (and lots of money) with no success. After 2 appointments with Johnny I was running again... Gobsmacked! I regularly get Achilles issues where it attaches to my heel, the pain can be immense. I was getting normal physio from Jonny and although it was helping it wasn’t going away so he recommended the shock wave treatment, I opted for the 3 sessions and the issue has gone . It improved after every session and then a few days after the last it had gone. I have suffered with this for years when I walk too much wearing flat trainers. Knowing this therapy solves the issue quickly (opposed to 3-4 month of no walking volume) it has made a difference and allows me to keep my steps up.

I went to Physio Effect on the recommendation of my nephew following a fall where I had hurt my knee. Jonny did a full examination and recommended exercises to strengthen the muscles around the knee. More importantly he sensed that I’m a worrier and he reassured me by saying stop thinking about and work on building the strength up again. The team at Physio Effect have always been exceptionally good at what they do, which is why I’ve used them for years. Most recently I went to their running clinic for an assessment, I was new to running and starting to increase my distance so wanted to get checked over. The whole experience from start to finish was fantastic, Jonny explained the process throughout making me feel at ease. After he recorded me running on the treadmill, I did a short lap outside the clinic with sensors attached to my trainers. He was then able to upload this data and explain it to me in simple terms. After showing me video footage I could see exactly what was happening to my body and he gave me practical cues and tips which adjusted my style and the difference was immediate! I’ve continued to work on a tailor made programme he has given me, which I am loving. I feel much more confident with my running now and can see the improvements each time I do it. Have been to other physios throughout the years, but not one has given the attention and the advice that Danny gives. What I also like is that it feels like he’s not in it to make money from you. Hell not have you in every week, instead giving you time to do the exercises he gives you. And when your nearing full fitness, he will tell you just to continue the work and get in contact if needed. Had my first running assessment with Jonny this week at Physio Effect Boron St to help relieve some running discomfort. Jonny videoed me from both sides, front and rear while running on a treadmill, and then reviewed the footage with myself before indicating running movements that were potential issues. Having gone through a series of corrective drills I was videoed again to show how by enacting them collectively my running style could improve. All the way through Jonny explained the purpose of the corrections and how through running practice and time they would come to feel more natural and remove my running issues.
