Josh was very determined to get to the bottom of my complex issue. He was patient and gave me at home workouts and in person exercises to improve the strength in my arm. After months of work, it had improved by around 80% and I was very pleased with the result. Excellent service.

Fantastic support received from Josh to treat a complex ankle injury (ligament, tendon and muscle damage), both during the sessions and by way of continued support (exercise plans) and communication outside of them. Having initially barely been able to walk due to the instability and pain in my ankle, Josh’s advice and practical rehabilitative treatment had me back on my feet in no time, for which I can’t thank him enough.
I would definitely use Physio Athletic again to diagnose and treat any future injuries/issues, and am already looking forward to benefitting from some of the many other services Josh provides in order to work off all the post-Christmas timber!

I’ve been working with Josh for a few months now and I’m really pleased with the results so far. He is helping me grow my confidence in the gym and teaching me how to use the equipment correctly and safely. We have worked on my diet loads and I’ve lost nearly a stone already and I’m eating much more healthily. Above all else though I enjoy my sessions with Josh, and that is so important to me. He is personable and friendly and puts you at ease. I’ve always found the gym boring and intimidating but with his help I’m now going to my local gym and I actually look forward to it! He has put training plans together for me to use in the gym when I’m alone and helped me with the apps I need to record my calorie intake. Josh has been really flexible with me on appointment times as I can’t always see him at the same day or time every week. His studio is a great space to work out and so is the gym at Liverpool Street. It’s very friendly. I’m really pleased with my results and would totally recommend Josh to you.

I've been training with Josh for two years now and I've loved every minute of it. When I started, I was still struggling with shoulder issues after rotator cuff surgery, but with his combination of PT and physio expertise, Josh was able to not just get me training hard again but also strengthening the muscles and improving technique to prevent another injury. We kept going right through lockdown on Skype, and he is singlehandedly responsible for keeping me sane as well as fit. Josh is a great trainer and also great fun - he takes as much pleasure in his clients' progress as he does in putting us through the pain to get there and somehow manages to make that fun too. His expertise as both a personal trainer and physiotherapist is the perfect synthesises, ensuring I built strength back up without reinjury and restoring my confidence training.
3 months in, I’m hitting personal bests and feeling stronger than ever. Josh has provided me with clear structure, adapting and tweaking my programme as needed and more importantly, an infectious level of enthusiasm that has made training fun and enjoyable.

What else could you ask? You have a physiotherapist that is also a PT, so right postures and exercises for your body!

I've been training with Josh for a long time and even though I'm a lazy middle aged man and only really go to the gym for our sessions, I can see results. Josh is easy to work with, has only pushed me until I nearly threw up once so far and he never really gets annoyed with my attempts to weasel out of doing the actually reps so he must be supremely patient.

Josh is a brilliant trainer full of knowledge and expertise. Recovering from back surgery, I really wanted to work with someone who was going to enable me to train safely, but also push me to reach my goals. Josh did both and made it fun. Josh is an excellent trainer - I can't recommend him highly enough. He's a great mix of professional and friendly - always pushing for results but always fun. I came to him to because I'd started to plateau with my workouts. He provided me with a very clear structure for improving and growing - achievable meal plans, and great, varied workout plans that kept me moving forward. And thanks to his physio background, he has a keen eye for technique - he's made a huge difference to improving my form, and I feel like I'm getting more out of my workouts because of it. Josh was initially recommended to me as a physiotherapist through a friend who had amazing results as I was suffering from a few gym related injuries. Josh sorted it and had me back in full action in the gym in record time. His professional, approachable and warm manner is outstanding and he is highly knowledgeable giving you practical hands on advice.
Josh then became my go-to physio and in discussions with him he told me he was a PT too. It was then a no brainer to then see Josh as my PT. I’ve had many PT’s over the years of being in the gym and in all my time and years training I have never achieved such incredible results. Josh not only pushed and encouraged me to get to the best shape I have ever been but also hit goals I never thought I would ever achieve.
His advice from workouts to nutrition to understanding how your body works sets him apart from many in the industry. He goes above and beyond for his clients and if you want to take it to the next level, then Josh will be the one that will ensure you hit all your goals.

I was having serious issues with my lower back due to an old injury flaring up. Went to see josh for a 1to1 session. He talked me through the injury and diagnosis (really knowledgeable and helpful), followed by a sports massage that gave me almost instant relief, and then he showed me some exercises to take away to strength the area. Since doing these the pain has reduced! Highly recommend Josh. Very knowledgeable and patient.
