Reviews of Putney Physio : Lucy Tri Physio (Sacarello Physio Ltd.)

Worried about whether it was safe to be running with a painful achilles, I went to visit Lucy. Not only did she diagnose the issue immediately but she also gave me a set of stretches and strengthening exercises that got me back out running in days.
Over the following 3 years and thousands of miles, Lucy has always been there to support me when I’ve had any issues or questions resulting in easily my longest spell of running/rowing/cycling without injury!!
Hugely passionate about what she does and an incredible ultra runner with an amazing attitude. Lucy is the best!

I contacted Lucy after a pain during running wouldn't go away. She was able to diagnose my issue and set me up with a plan to get me in running form again - all done remotely via Zoom. With regular email and video check ins to progress my strength work and running plan, I'm so delighted to be back running again without even a niggle. Lucy is so lovely to work with, and she provides great cues and demonstrations to execute exercises properly, while making sure you progress (or pull back!) when you need to. I would definitely recommend her to those in need of a plan to keep their body in good form for sport of any kind.

I went to Lucy at her Putney clinic for shin splints as I started to train for a half marathon on top of hockey training. Lucy is fantastic! As an athlete herself, who has suffered from injury setbacks - she totally gets her patients! Through a combination of release work and strength work, Lucy has helped significantly reduce the pain I was feeling while running as well as coaching me on how to get stronger for the future. She is a highly professional and knowledgeable physio who I would recommend to everyone.

Lucy is *the* physio for athletes, she is incredibly knowledgable, and critically she will work to ensure you take as little time off your sport as possible in order to heal. She has successfully treated a number of injuries I’ve had in the past year, allowing me to complete a half Ironman triathlon, and has been a fantastic cheerleader throughout the process. Her S&C classes are also brilliant. I couldn’t recommend her highly enough!

I got recommended Lucy by a friend and couldn’t be happier with the suggestion. Lucy was personable, thorough and demonstrated exercises properly. These exercises were a great blend of testing my ankle but knowing my limits which helped strengthen it again. The fact there’s a gym room at the site is much better than the smaller physio rooms where you get good treatment but don’t really get to test your injury. Would definitely go back for another injury and would recommend highly.

Extremely knowledgeable and professional. Lucy has a wealth of experience across a broad range of sporting injuries, issues and complications partnered with a practical approach to get you back to full fitness as soon as possible. I’ve recommended her practice to friends, families and colleagues alike!

Lucy has been fantastic treating both my back and also Achilles injuries. She has a great understanding of my sports (cycling and netball) which has been very helpful in making my recovery tailored. Have recommended her to many people and will continue to do so.

I had an operation in my knee to fix an acute injury sustained from a fall. I needed physiotherapy for my rehabilitation to regain my knee strength and proper gait.
Lucy has been brilliant in providing me that physiotherapy for my recovery and rehab. Her physiotherapy includes carefully prepared exercise programmes specifically tailored to achieve set goals, done in stages, and monitored for progress. Theses periodic reviews have helped me in setting my own goals. Lucy is excellent at explaining why each exercise matters and is invaluable in my recovery.

When I contacted Lucy I had lost a lot of enjoyment and confidence in my running. After an injury put me out of action for 3 months+, I was struggling to get back to regular running as I had various new niggles that I was worrying about. Lucy was able to treat me entirely remotely, assessing my injuries and putting together a 'return to running' plan and a corresponding strength plan to address any weaknesses that were holding me back. I am SO pleased to be back running and feel empowered to deal with the same issues again if/when they arise in the future. Thank you Lucy for your patience and expertise! I would highly recommend her to anyone struggling to get back to running after time out. Having Lucy on hand for reassurance and professional advice is the best way to come back stronger!

It was great working with Lucy and I'd 100% recommend her to anyone looking for a physio!
Through her program I overcame over a year of being injured and have been back running with no issues since. The virtual classes are also a great way to keep up the strength training!
Thanks so much Lucy for your help!

Was given a recommendation to see Lucy after tearing ankle ligaments through rugby. Whole process of initial consultation, detailed rehab exercise plan and periodic check ins has been fantastic. Very knowledgeable and has accelerated my recovery hugely. Can't recommend her enough!

Lucy is a dedicated professional who has been invaluable in treating my various injuries over the years. As a new runner she has set me clear and manageable tailored training plans to prevent injury. I will continue to recommend her services to all.

After starting to focus more on my strength and conditioning I had begun to feel some discomfort in my lower back due to the increased load. Lucy quickly diagnosed the issue and understood that I wanted to continue training as the problem wasn’t debilitating. She tailored a recovery and rehab program which I could fit into my schedule and I was quickly pain free. I couldn’t recommend her enough, thank you!

I went to Lucy with a knee injury and she was brilliant in diagnosing the problem, suggesting exercises, changes to my training programme and releasing related muscular tightness. Very professional, approachable and knowledgeable. I would have no hesitation in going back to see Lucy again or in recommending her to friends.

I went to lucy for a running injury, she was incredibly thorough and as an athlete herself completely understood the frustrations with being injured! I was back to running in no time and by incorporating her rehab and strength exercises into my weekly routine im stronger than before. I would highly recommend her physio and to check out her website and instagram for some very informative posts!

I sprained my ankle and went to see Lucy. Her treatment was professional and thorough, as was her follow up. She sent me all of the exercises in a concise video which was extremely helpful. Would definitely recommend and return.

Brilliant physio! I went to Lucy with knee pain that was totally mysterious to me. Lucy got straight to the heart of the problem, and gave me a clear and effective rehab programme, as well as supporting me to return to my usual milage pain free (and to keep it that way!!) I really appreciated her taking the long view of the injury, as well as working to reduce the immediate pain. She gave me a steady progression of exercises, and sent me videos to follow up, which was very helpful for forgetful me.
Really lovely, really expert and an inspiring athlete too! Would highly recommend!

Been doing online Physio sessions and classes for months now and her attention to detail is class! You’d think I was her only patient. Great to have someone who fully understands the training involved in triathlon and how to make the body stronger in the areas that matter most

I contacted Lucy after getting frustrated with a groin injury that I'd picked up running quite a few weeks before. Lucy was great and set up a call within days - we met virtually on a zoom call and it was so easy and she immediately made me feel comfortable. She asked me to do a few exercises and identified some weaknesses which made perfect sense. She then explained some exercises to address these before demonstrating them herself and then getting me to try them and watching me to advise any changes I might need to make. I saw Lucy several times afterwards and we progressed the exercises. I definitely noticed an improvement over the time she saw me and I'd go back for any new injuries or even just for her to assess weaknesses I might not know I have so I can increase my run training safely and effectively. Virtual consultations work surprisingly well and Lucy is lovely.

I reached out to Lucy at the end of 2020 after struggling with an ankle injury and having followed her on Instagram for a while. Living nearly 200 miles away video consultations have been a blessing, and I was really impressed by how thorough our sessions were. Lucy is extremely knowledgeable as a physio, and being an athlete herself means she really understands the struggle of having an injury. Finger's crossed for no more injuries thanks to our thorough rehab plan, but if I do need help in the future I wouldn't hesitate to see Lucy over zoom again.

Lucy is everything you can hope for and more in a physio. As a runner, being injured is something I really dread and not running /being told not to run point blank has an awful effect on my mental health - Lucy is an athlete herself and so understands that mentality, reassured me and gave me exercises (both strengthening and easing me into running) that took away this anxiety. Initially we did Zoom consultations for my hip and knee, which had become injured during the lockdown. I was initially skeptical but the progress I made was almost immediate even without in person consultation. I have since seen Lucy in person, which is amazing, and she was able to release tension through massage. Cannot recommend her enough. So responsive and helpful and kind. If I could give 10/5 I would.

Due to the pandemic when a running injury struck I was unable to get my usual physio. Fortunately, i found Lucy conducting physio online - recommended via Maverick Races (she’s their physio). Quite honestly this has turned out to be the silver lining. Lucy is very confident and competent at online diagnosis and rehabilitation. The reality is it’s more affordable and therefore, I received more contact/zoom time. Lucy has a great deal of empathy, being a seasoned ultra runner, which undoubtedly improved my recovery.

I have tried running on and off for years and have always found myself plagued with injury.
I met up with Lucy online, and after an initial assessment, she was able to spot where my imbalances were. Lucy gave me a series of exercises to do which were built on gradually over the coming weeks.
Just a few simple exercises have completely transformed my running: I have very little pain in my foot and feel so much stronger.
I am so glad I have found Lucy and look forward to working with her in the future to develop my running further.

Lucy was really helpful with sorting out my wrist pain.
She is extremely professional and really takes the time to explain the cause of your injury and the different exercises you need to do to help it. I visited Lucy 4 times and can now say that my injury has really healed and I know that I can go back to Lucy any time I have an issue. Thank you, Lucy!

I have seen a variety of physios in the past for injuries but none have helped me as much as Lucy has! I was a bit worried that physio via Zoom wouldn’t work very well but Lucy makes the whole process really easy and can easily spot my issues/weaknesses through a screen! I would recommend her to anyone.

Lucy has worked wonders getting me back running after a hip injury which a few other physios couldn't really help with. Lucy was able to quickly identify the weakness and within weeks I was back on my feet. I can't rate Lucy highly enough after having to endure so many months of discomfort.
J. K.
Best physio around, and understands endurance sports. Got me back to triathlon after knee surgery.

Best Physio for all your cycling running etc related niggles and injuries!
