Reviews of Physiotherapy Matters Ltd - Gosforth

Excellent service and great professionalism. Very attentive and understanding and were able to pinpoint the areas of pain, diagnose and provide swift help.
Over the years I have needed help with lower back sciatic pain, gym injuries including knee, neck and wrist pains.
Neeraj has always explained the cause of the injury in the body and ways to prevent further injury as well as how to train effectively as to not continue to cause pain and to even strengthen the areas by providing advice on training and various exercise techniques.
Highly recommend. Worth every penny.

Having suffered with persistent back pain and sciatic nerve issues for several months and unsuccessful results from chiropractic treatment I decided to go down the physio route. Working with Callum, he diagnosed the likely cause of the problem and prescribed me a number of exercises outlining the purpose of each exercise and demonstrating how it should be correctly performed. I diligently followed his advise and over the course of around 4 sessions the issue was resolved and I was once again pain free although I still maintain this routine as prevention of any further reoccurrence. Around the time my back problem was resolved I started getting shoulder pain also. Again, after just a single session, Callum assigned me a set of exercises which I followed and am pleased to report that after just over a week the pain has stopped. The service provided by Physiotherapy Matters is very professional and I would have no hesitation in advocating their services to others.

Was seen by Emily for a calf strain and it was well worth it. I left with so much more confidence and ability to walk much better. Was given a clear and concise exercise plan which was effective moving forward. I would definitely recommend.

I did a fair bit of research and decided Ostenil would be worth a try to help with osteoarthritis in my knees. The cost in this clinic also made it a more affordable treatment than those I could receive locally, despite me living 1.5 hours away. I had a telephone consultation with Reejav prior to my first visit, and he then gave a thorough consultation before proceeding with a course of 3 injections to each knee, with a week between each. 4 weeks after the last injection I am feeling the benefit and feeling much more positive. It's great to have spent recent days without any significant pain. It's been a pleasure to visit the friendly staff at Physiotherapy Matters. I will certainly be returning for a booster injection whenever required.

I've used Physiotherapy Matters more than once for running related injuries, and always received a good service. Most recently I suffered from runner's knee, and in addition to physio treatment I completed a 3 day running gait analysis with Emma.
This showed me several areas where my running technique and posture could be impacting my running efficiency, but also making me more susceptible to injury. Seeing the video of my running, plus measuring key posture angles was quite revealing.
With a few tips to make adjustments and plyometric exercises to assist, this will hopefully make a positive difference to my running.

I had to come here twice for vaccinations.
It's over 30 miles away, which is out of the way for me, but I was told that if I didn't go there for these, I'd have to pay £55 each.
I have to return there in 4 weeks for the second dose and again for the third, which was inconvenient given that I live across the street from a hospital and that another North Tees is 20 minutes away.
It took over an hour to get there and another hour to get back.
I had no idea where I was going, but luckily I was accompanied by my husband, who used to be a taxi driver and kept me right. The A1 was terrible as there was no signage when roads were closed, just loads of cones to block access.
I then had to pay for parking as well, which wasn't really an issue considering it was only £1.00 for two hours.
Giving the fuel price now, in my opinion, was completely unnecessary.
Having said that, the nurse and a newly qualified nurse were both lovely very friendly and genuinely nice people. :)

Great experience with Neeraj - I’ve been getting Ostenil injections to help manage a long term knee complaint, injections have helped a lot and the care received was top class. Highly recommend

staff are very professional and have a lovely manner, i was very sceptical when i first went as i had suffered so long with problems with my neck, i had been back and forth to my doctors and got no where, callum hurst listened to exactly what my problems were and put the time in, and with his experience and knowledge i finally feel like i’m getting some relief to the pain and discomfort i’ve been in, happy days 😘👍

I required physiotherapy to treat lower back, abdominal and hip pain that I was experiencing as a long term consequence of exercise. A keen runner, swimmer and cyclist, I had reached a point where I was not able to do any of these activities, something that was not good for my physical or mental well-being. Through a series of consultations with Emma at Physiotherapy Matters I was given a personalised exercise plan that got me back on the bike and in the pool. I was impressed by a calm, considered and clear approach, deep knowledge of the subject and the excellent supporting resources.
