Hi Jake, I just wanted to share some feedback with you regarding my first appointment with Ben, yesterday evening. I was going to send this straight to Ben, but I wanted to spare his blushes. I thought he was brilliant throughout! He was understanding, hugely knowledgeable, made me feel at ease (albeit put me through pain from the massages) and gave me something to work on and take away. I've been to quite a few physios, sports therapists, chiropractors, etc. and I can say that my experience with you was the best by a country mile. I have already booked in another appointment with him and will definitely be suggesting you guys to friends and family. Thanks. Tom

I badly sprained my ankle nearly 4 years ago whilst running, unfortunately the injury was misdiagnosed which was the start of a series of unfortunate events that were to follow. After paying to see many people during the year that followed as I was forever in constent pain, at times it was unbearable.. I went back to the doctors and was referred for an MRI where they discovered that I had in fact torn my main stablizing ligaments in my ankle. I was then reffered to a top surgeon on the mainland and after two surgeries... Last one being 'Modified Brostrom Ligament Reconstruction' back in August last year, I was in plaster for 8 weeks rather than 6 non weight-bearing and then a boot for 3 weeks. Unfortunately being in plaster for so long with the ankle off set caused issues with some of the other ligaments, had constant nerve pain from the surgeries and from being injured for so long and the ankle not haven worked properly for just shy of 3 years when I had the surgery. I had also lost all my muscles in my lower leg. And if it couldn't get any worse... I was then left to long to rehab so when I saw my consultant at the 16 week mark and explained that the pain was unbearable.... He told me I should have been rehabing since I came out of plaster and to find myself a good sports physio. So in December I went to see RMA who I was recommended to by a friend and in January this year my Journey with the awesome Luke began. For the first time in a long time he gave me hope, his knowledge, support, compassion and dedication has literally given me my life back. The amount of times he found me ugly crying in the waiting room because I had got out of bed and couldn't stand on the foot without severe pain, the amount of times I really felt like there was no hope.... But he always reassured me and was always there if I needed advice between appointments. This month a miracle happened and I heard Luke say the words I honestly didn't ever think I would ever hear... I have been given the all clear!! I can't recommend Luke and RMA enough... He has given me back my life, not only can I walk pain free, I am back dancing which is my passion. A thousand thank yous would never be enough to show how eternaly grateful I am but THANK YOU Luke.... You are totally awesome!!

I initially went to see Jake for some remedial massage to get me over a running related injury about 2 months before a marathon (back when there were races....). At that point I was having serious doubts as to whether I would even be getting to the start line. However with Jake’s input (both massage and advice on specific exercises) I was able to ease back into training and complete the race as planned. Following the marathon I decided that I wanted to devote some time to avoiding getting injured in the first place and so approached Jake for some help. During the weeks and months that followed Jake created some bespoke strength and conditioning sessions that I have carried out under his supervision in the RMA Gym. Jake is very professional and clearly has a high level of knowledge and expertise gained from both his academic studies and his experience treating others. I have found that my balance and core stability has really improved which in turn has helped me to improve my running. I have also found that I really enjoyed the sessions; Jake puts a lot of effort into keeping the sessions varied and ensuring they provide enough stress to generate physical adaption but not so much that I can’t recover from them to carry out my planned runs for the week. Working on the specific weaknesses that Jake identified has been hugely beneficial. In addition to avoiding further injury (so far) I find I am now able to generally run stronger and with less fatigue accumulating from the longer runs. I also set a 10k PB last year which was a great bonus. Whilst no one can do the training or the exercises for you Jake can certainly provide a wealth of expert input and a huge shot of motivation to help individuals achieve their personal goals. In summary I can’t recommend Jake highly enough to anyone who is looking to recover from/prevent injury or who wants to tap into another area of training and improve their running.

As with all good finds, Jake was a recommendation from a friend of a friend. I came to see Jake with an 8-year-long shoulder issue that had flared up again and was causing agonising pain. Not only has the experience in terms of rehabilitation and strength building been great, but also the zoom calls, whatsapp chat, videos and support has been perfect for me! I'm a busy mum and business owner so having the chance to check updates and messages at a time that works for me has been perfect. I feel like I understand what's happening with my body and what steps I can take to continue to improve it. The pain has subsided significantly and i'm so grateful to Jake for his commitment to helping me move forwards with this.

I would highly recommend Jake and his team they are friendly and professional. Both myself and my 10yr son and have regular treatments with Jake. With my son being young it is very important to us that he has someone that we can trust and who understands the physiology and challenges of a growing body and also has the patience and time to listen to a young athlete and Jake provides all of this.
