After spending 6 weeks trying to recover from a football injury, I decided book an appointment with William. He was friendly and professional through out and identified that I was recovering from a grade 2 ligament tear. He provide various techniques to help with recovery and after 4 to 5 visits I was able to get back into running and training again. I would definitely visit again if i was unfortunate to pick up another injury.

Like the policemen, physiotherapists are starting to look younger! However, this in no way affected the thoroughness of diagnosis, depth of explanation or quality of treatment that I received. After only one session, it's too early to tell whether the exercises that I've been prescribed are working but, mentally, the switch has been flicked that tells me that I'm on the road to recovery and will be back to running soon.

As an avid runner and Spartan Race participant, I can't recommend Physio Direct enough. I went to William with a few leg pain issues that had stopped me running altogether. He was able to identify and provide solutions that helped alleviate the problems, to the point where I can now safely get back into running. The service was friendly, prompt and professional and I'm really happy that I chose PhysioDirect.

Recently completed 5 sessions with Will at Physio Direct. I approached him initially with acute lower back pain. Will guided me though the probable causation and coached me on preventative exercises to help ensure that it doesn’t happen again alongside exercises to regain movement and reduce tightness and pain. Will is extremely knowledgeable and friendly, my back is fixed and my movement better than before I had any issues. Would recommend Physio Direct to anyone. I also attended during lockdown and found the safety precautions to be excellent. 5 stars

I went to see Will about some issues with the joints around my hips and thigh muscles, as they was causing me issues when running and just after. I was joined up to do the Great North Run and training was an issue. After 3-4 sessions with Will, I had exercises and stretches to complete to help get me round and recover afterwards. I am pleased to say I got around the course, no stopping, and my legs/hips are fine. Thank you so much for your help and fingers crossed I don't need to go back, but if I do I will go straight to Physio Direct and will be recommending to my family and friends.

Recovering from a recent illness and hospital stay, I needed support to get back to previous physical ability with skateboarding, cycling and an active lifestyle. I was managing well, but struggling with certain aspects of ability, this becoming frustrating.. someone suggested physio and I booked to see Will. very professional and knowledgeable. William easily identified the cause of the pain in my hip and lower back and focused on reducing it significantly within 3 sessions. Will gave very good advice, improved my understanding and treated me as a whole person. He gave me a number of very effective exercises to do at home which were adapted and changed as i improved. The morning before my appointment, I sat halfway down the staircase, unable to move up or down due to pain, and cried. By the end of my first appointment with William I was feeling much more positive and also, in less pain and more mobile. After several appointments, I am well on my way to recovery. I had seen several physiotherapists prior to seeing William and none of them had really been able to help or give any answers, and to say I was getting desperate is an understatement. My GP just prescribed stronger and stronger painkillers but gave no other advice. I had back pain, radiating into my leg with excruciating sciatic pain. Furthermore, I was terrified that any movement I made would damage my body, as it was all so painful. William had a reassuring but proactive manner and really sought to treat the ‘whole me’ -not just addressing the physical problem but also uncovering that part of my problem was also in my mind - my fear of pain based on past injuries. I absolutely and wholeheartedly recommend William.
