Our table was booked for 6.30pm and that was a good time to come as it was much busier later on. This restaurant is right on Union Street in Aberdeen. I thought the service and attention was excellent and there was a happy atmosphere to the place. I had a lovely meal and was able to indulge in my favourite pudding it was just so nice. I would definitely recommend booking in advance to avoid disappointment. I also recommend this place very highly.

Good food for a good price, feels very classy especially for some freshly signed off sailor brutes like our selves. Unfortunately they sent out one meal that was incorrect so our meals was not synced. But they made it up to us by making his meal free aswell as giving us a glass of whine on the house aswell.. very professional look and good looking serving personell. Busy restaurant with great food and service , we were there for the daughters 21s on a Friday and it was packed but there was lots of waiting staff so never felt as though we were waiting between courses , the quality of the food was really good , I had the scallops with black pudding followed by the lasagne , gf and daughter had a pizza each and both were really tasty , its city centre prices but high quality food and service.

This is my fifth time at this restaurant. It's an Italian restaurant. The waiters are very friendly and there is no service charge. Pizza is made on site, starting with the dough! Shrimp rice is very delicious, sticky rice with bouncing prawns, is a must order! The scallop pasta is really recommended, it's a little bit bland, but the scallop is just right. Raw Scotch beef is a great starter and a great accompaniment to cheese. Will come again!

My love for Italian Cuisine brings me to Amarone. This is definitely my favorite place when it comes to Italian food and I have never disappointed. My visit to this restaurant was related to my sister's birthday. Not only the ordered dish, Bruschetta Rustica & Pollo Funghi e Pancetta were absolutely delicious, we were also treated to Prosecco at the company's expense. It was a very nice gesture and my sister's birthday made it even more enjoyable. The staff looked after us well, all the time asking if everything was alright. I can definitely recommend this place if you have any occasion to celebrate or spend time in a place with an exquisite and friendly atmosphere. You will certainly feel appreciated. Such a beautiful restaurant with a fantastic atmosphere, the service is faultless and the food is consistently excellent. Love that they have a specific vegan menu, and can make the kids pizza vegan too (it’s also a really decent size, perfect for a hungry eight-year-old!) Highly recommend!

This was not one my favorite restaurants that we ate at along our Scotland adventure. The night before we actually ate at another Italian restaurant in Aberdeen that had better food, service and prices. Initially, the service was pretty good and if it had stayed that way we would have given it a better score. One of the major reasons for the score was that there was a mix up with our bill and they gave us someone else's bill, which wouldn't have been a big deal. So it was brought to our attention and they said the bills were practically equal and then showed us our bill after we had been charged...well, to make our bills equal they doubled the gratuity on our actual bill to even it out. At the time we were dealing with our young children, so we didn't get to fully look at it until we got back to the hotel room and then noticed that not only did they apply gratuity, but they had also doubled it to make it equal. This was only part of the issue. The food was also just okay. Almost all the dishes were high in acid and fat/oil content. So, there were many options for my dietary needs. The children also didn't enjoy their meals as much. The tiramisu, however, was fantastic and I do recommend that. But, otherwise, if we find ourselves back in Aberdeen, which is likely...we will eat somewhere else.

The place is beautiful, the staff friendly the service is fast. The food is good and has only been disappointing once. Slightly incosistent but not enough to put you off. There is a good variety of wines. However, I 'm not sure if there is a toilet upstairs for people with mobility problems and they should ask before booking.

Very expensive for the food on offer. Service was adequate apart from the cutlery that was dropped on one of our party. Adding on 10% gratuity claiming it was optional should have been left off allowing a tip to be considered rather than being embarrassed into paying what was added. Underwhelmed

First time here, at 12:00, they were very busy and there was only one waiter. When we sat down and waited a long time to get the water.After placing the order, the food was quick. Paid a visit to Amarone on its reopening night in Aberdeen. The restaurant now boasts a new cocktail bar where diners can sit and enjoy a few drinks before being taken into the main restaurant for food. There’s also a new open pizza oven where diners can watch the chefs cook up a storm when creating pizzas. We tried out a number of dishes and I have to say I was quite impressed with the steak and the prawn starter. My boyfriends pizza was also pretty good too and I’m keen to try out a few of the pasta dishes. Definitely try out some of the cocktails as they were pretty good too. Some classics and twists on classics, there’s something for all tastes.

I consider myself a pizza connosiour and I can say with confidence that the pizza is excellent. The staff are pleasant and helpful and the service is fast. The dining area is large so it wasn't difficult to make reservations, at least from my experience on weekdays. The bathrooms are also spotless and luxurious. The pricing is fair and doesn't feel like a rip off.

sometimes this restaurant is brilliant, perfect food and service but sometimes is just very average, like too hot food, they can forget about the bread in the beginning or the waiter is quite abrupt. so it depends on the day i guess. i think they work much better where is more than 2 people on the table, otherwise they don’t care too much, but service charge and prices are still the same even just for 2 people 😂. i think i will be back sometimes, but the quality is getting worst every time when i am there, that’s my feelings and opinion about this restaurant.

Amarones was a very nice restaurant with excellent food which perfectly matches the lovely (although a little loud) atmosphere. Really love this restaurant. Much bigger inside than it looks on the outside. Actually two floors of seating area. Super busy so best you book a table otherwise you'll be waiting ages. Food is great but we had a little incident where our mains didn't show up for over an hour. Arrived at the restaurant at 8.15 and mains didn't get served until past ten. Brought it to the attention of management who compensated with free ice-cream of all flavours for the child with us and profuse apologies. They also kept the kitchen open for us for dessert. Children's pizza portion is generous rather than the tiny pizza most restaurants would serve a child. Rice was too cheesy and stringy for me but fish was excellent. Had hot chocolate for dessert and it was amazing hot chocolate. The Pianist also let us have a go on the piano and was super patient with the child. Good food, good ambiance and excellent customer service.

Came here for a birthday meal, we were sat in the main part of the restaurant and it was really bright and clean. Unfortunately the service was quite poor, we had to keep asking for our drinks as they had forgotten them 3 times. The mains were very slow, over 20 minutes after starters and they forgot a dish. The starters were really nice, but mains just didn’t hit the mark. The flavours were bland and the pizza dough was burnt in many of our dishes. Overall, I’m not sure if we caught them on a bad evening, but service was poor, and food just wasn’t that special.

The staff was very nice. We enjoyed sitting on the second floor overlooking the resturang and food prepartions. We tried the graduation menu, very nice inititive however 10 punds as extra if you picked the entrecote is to much extra on a set menu. No problem with the extra 2 for the shrimps, but 10 no. I understand they want to advertise it for 30. One of us thought the pasta lacked sauce , but this was fixed with some extra. Anyway we had a nice graduation evening

This was the first time I had visited and I enjoyed the atmosphere of the place. Had a lovely main course of sea bass ( a tad pricey) but very tasty, then icecream and cherries ( they were really really good. Our waitress was very good and attentive and I would rather give my tip to the person waiting then it being added to the bill. Hopefully the tips are handed out to the staff. I would certainly go back for a special occasion.

The manager was excellent. I got there after breakfast. I told him what I wanted to eat. He told me he would go to the kitchen and see what he could do. My Goodness, I wish I had taken a picture. He brought me a spread line none other. THE BEST BACON I HAVE EVER TASTED AND I COME FROM A PIG RAISING FARM IN MS. THANK YOU TO THE TALL THIN MAN IN THE BLACK SUIT. Had lunch with my sisters. Three of us opted for the lunch special menu & one from the general menu. Shared bread & olives as starter and enjoyed large lush black & green olives with fresh bread. Quite a wait for our mains to arrive but they did all arrive together. Huge plates used which made the portion look tiny but with our dessert more than ample. Coffee arrived & was almost finished before dessert arrived. Attentive staff at front of house, not sure what was happening in the kitchen as the restaurant wasn't very busy when we were in.

Amarone, has always been my favourite red wine, and now it is also my favourite restaurant in Aberdeen. We ate there last week and I was well impressed, the restaurant was bright, clean, spacious, well staffed with very friendly & helpful people, and the food was absolutely fantastic and very well priced. We were in the Restaurant Saturday 9th.lunchtime, The Seabass was nice but the Risotto was stodgy, a hefty service charge was applied, Was charged for a double gin, I only asked for a single. Wouldn't hurry back.

Opinion on food was divided; two said their mains were very nice but two said theirs was bland (both of the latter had polpettine.) The meatballs were pretty tasteless and there was barely enough sauce to mask this. Nice wine selection. Overall though, probably VFM as prices were reasonable.

I went on a itison voucher as I like to try and follow up again if good. The food was good but vouchers had a separate but limited menu. My second visit to the restaurant, but the first time I had been back since the fire incident. Good service on both occasions, the waiting staff are all very polite and made clear any queries we had about the current rules and restrictions. Service was a little slow, especially after we had finished our mains. We were eager to order and eat our dessert in the time we had left in the restaurant before they asked us to go outside to their sheltered seating area, as the weather was a bit cold and grim. We finished our mains around 7.15pm and the indoor restaurant was only due to close at 8pm, so we thought we had plenty of time to have dessert inside, however by the time we managed to get someone's attention to request dessert, it was 7.45pm, and we had to go outside to finish our meal and drinks. Thankfully, we were one of the first tables to be moved outside, so we got to pick any table we wanted, which was of course the one closest to the heaters as it was so cold! It then took another 30-40 minutes until anyone approached us asking if we wanted any more drinks, and by that point we were ready to go home. Despite the slow service, we enjoyed out meal out, and will most definitely return in the future.
